(We open up, seeing Austin wander around Hau'oli city, look at all the tall buildings around him. Speed walking past the crowd as to not get distracted, he does what is he told and heads to Llimas house. Walking past the Hau'oli hotel, he bumps into Jays Dad unexpectedly.)

Austin: GAH! *almost falls, but catches himself on his Cane*

Dad: Whoops, didn't see ya there ^^"

Austin: Watch where you're going, you millennial!

Dad: Whatever you say, dude. Say, where you going?

Austin: *begins to limp down the sidewalk* Captain Llimas house. Where else?

Dad: *follows behind him* Well my first thought was the bank.

Austin: Ha. Ha.

Dad: ....You know, I sorta specialize in normal types as well.

Austin: Oh really?

Dad: Yep! I have Watchog, Linoone, Furret, Rati-

Austin: *bursts laughing* Young millennial, those are RODENT pokemon. I actually specialize in powerful, REAL normal types. You specialize in the first thing you see in the region. There's a difference.

Dad: Okay call me millennial again and I'll have my daughter kick you from elite 4.

Austin: Well I don't know your name.

Dad: 2nd of all, rodents are still normal types, Mr. Fancy-Pants. And mine are powerful at that. 3rd of all, my name is-

(Suddenly, as they got to Llimas house when Jays Dad was about to reveal his name, Llima himself came out from his yard and waved to the two men.)

Llima: Alola, Fulcrians!

Dad: Oh- Alola! *smiles*

Austin: You look like a woman.

Llima: ....noidont- Are you Austin?

Austin: Yep. You're the trial captain, correct?

Llima: Yep! That's me! So Austin, the trial site is at Verdant Cavern. Meet me there in 10 minutes, I gotta paint fences with my pokemon. It's the only thing I actually get paid for-

Dad: Say, can I join his trial-

Austin: N-

Llima: Sure! The more the merrier!

(Austin knew that if Jays Dad were to join his challenge, they would have to compete for the same Z-Crystal. Austin could lose this to some Mudbray-Butt he just met, and the idea of that frustrated him.)

Dad: Nice!

Austin: *low growl* Llima, if I may-

Llima: It's decided! You'll compete with Austin for the Z-Crystal!

Austin: *bigger growl*

Dad: *smirks at Austin* Lets see how bad my rodents are now~

Austin: YOU. ARE. ON.

(One montage to Verdant Cave later...We saw Austin and Jays Dad walk into Verdant Cave, side by side, simultaneously. Llima was waiting in the cave, ready to announce their challenge.)

Llima: Okay then! Are you guys ready?

Jays Dad and Austin: *glare at each other before nodding*

Llima: Right then! You're trial is simple and normal, just find 3 Yungoose and then head out to that outing at the end of the cavern. *points to an exit at the end of the cavern* Ready? Steady? TRIAL BEGIN!

Austin: Cincinno, come out to help! *sends out Cincinno*

Cin: Cincinno!

Dad: Raticate, sniff out the Yungoose!

Raticate: Rati! Raticate!

...

Austin: And what do these Yungoose look like again-

Llima: *sighs and pulls up a picture on his phone*

Dad: Ah, got it-

(And then they were off! The two men scurried around the Cavern, using their normal type pokemon to hunt down the Yungoose. Jays Dad fainted a Yungoose by having his Rativate use dig to dig up Yungoose that burrowed in the ground. Austin forced his bony arms into the homes of the yungoose, and Cincinno helped pull one out and faint it. For the final Yungoose, the men cornered it with their own pokemon and fainted it together.)

(Having fainted the ravage pokemon, they were now ready to head into the outing, and face whatever there may be.)

(They both walked outside and...)

Austin: Well. That was underwhelming.

Dad: Yeah, the Z-Crystal is just sitting there, on that not-at-all-suspicious pedestal.

...

Austin: DIBS! *dashes to the pedestal*

Dad: NO I CALL DIBS!! *follows after*

(They both grab onto the Z-Crystal, fighting with eachother as their pokemon watch.)

Austin: MINE!!

Dad: NO MINE!!

Austin: I DIDN'T DIRTY MY OUTFIT JUST TO LOSE THIS Z-CRYSTAL TO YOU!!

Dad: LET GO!!!

Raticate and Cincinno: *try to make them stop fighting*

Llima: *comes in* Jeez... 0-0

(Suddenly, as they fought, too huge pokemon arose from the cliffs around the outing. Llima looked up and gasped, stunned at the two huge pokemon.)

Dad: I EARNED THIS FAIR AND SQUARE!!

Austin: NO I DID, YOU PEASENT-

Llima: BOTH OF YOU, SHUT UPPPP!!!!!

Austin and Dad: *go quiet and notice the two huge pokemon in front of them*

Huge pokemon 1: Shooos!

Huge pokemon 2: Cate! Raticate!

(These were the Totem pokemon, Totem Gumshoos and Totem Raticate! Austin and Jays Dad gasped and stepped back, one of them dropping the Z-Crystal by the totems feet.)

Llima: You guys gotta grow up and face them like a team! Normal vs. Normal!

Austin: *looks at Jays Dad*

Dad: *looks at Austin*

(They both nod and use their pokemon to defeat the totems. Cincinno used its attract and swift to chip them down, and Rativate used his Hyper Fang to middle them down. Soon, the Totem pokemon were defeated, and went back into hiding. Austin picked up the Z-Crystal and cheered.)

Austin: Yes! I just earned the Normalaniu- *notices Jays Dad clapping for him*

Dad: *clapping* Great job, old timer! You did good. *smiles* You keep that, you deserve it more than me.

Austin: B-But you helped me-

Dad: Ah, it's petty to fight over a crystal. You need it more than me. Besides, when I saw you battling, I just knew you deserved it more than a rodent-user like me. Keep it, I insist.

Austin: Well then...I-uhm-...th...thanks...? *felt a bit bashful since he wasn't used to being offered things for free*

Dad: *returns his Raticate and begins to walk out*

Llima: Um...sir you know i-

Dad: Save it, Llima.

Llima: I have another normalaniu-

Dad: Don't patron me, Llima. *smiles*

Llima:....okay then-

(Suddenly, there was a huge BOOM that came from a little on the opposite end of the island.)

Austin: *picks up his Cincinno in worry, as it clings to him* What was that?!

Llima: It sounded like it came from Ten Carret Hill....
