Charles POV

Why did I do that?! I punched my pillow with the thoughts of me hurting that rabbit girl. She looked so cute and I did that!

I watched my sisters enter their room. They noticed the missing clothes and shoes but did care. "Daddy has to definitely buy us new ones"

I glared at them then Elle tugged my shirt with her small hands. I knelt before her and she whispered, "I saw her, she looks nice"

I smiled, giving her a thumbs up.

"Ugh, I hate these Konekos running around this place. They are so dangerous" Emilia, one of my other sisters said, painting her nails.

"They are nice people to me" I said and they looked at me weirdly except Elle. She's too innocent to see what's going on.

"You're just like Leah, she keeps hanging around those animals" she laughed, folding her arms.

Leah is the eldest of my siblings and I. She's gentle natured, very good with people and animals. She's like those earth princesses in their weird stories. She's like mum, she even looks like her with her silky black hair and green eyes. But unfortunately, mum couldn't carry on with living with us. She moved away because dad was being very rude to her and I agree. We all do.

I went outside to find Leah at the river surrounded by two deer, birds, rabbits and squirrels. How does she do that..?

She was reading a story to them and holding a freaking skunk in her arms. I walked up to her and smiled. "Hey, sis-"

She trembled, not expecting me to be behind her the whole time. "Oh, it's you. I'm sorry, Charles" she said softly.

I sat beside her and the animals glared at me. I guess I stopped her story that's why.

"What were were you reading?" I asked.

"Cinderella, my favorite" she giggled silently.

I leaned back onto the muddy ground, not caring my white shirt getting dirty. I can be myself around her. I like mud, I'm not sure why.

"Leah"

"Yeah?"

"I met someone" I smiled weirdly.

A large smile grew across her face then she squealed that made the animals run away. "You are growing up! Who is it and I want to know now!" she sounded really loud that surprised me she could shout.

"A Koneko" I said then she squealed even more.

"I love those adorable creatures!" her eyes sparkled. "They run away from me" she pouted.

I told her everything that happened between me and the rabbit girl. She sighed, shaking her head. "You need to try harder because I would love to be the aunt of your half Koneko babies"

I blushed. "Leah!"

She started running, not knowing where to go. She smiled nervously begging me to show her the rabbit girl. I thought...why not.

Flora POV

I'm accepted...

I buried my head with my watery eyes into my pillow. I forgot one thing. I'm a Koneko. I can't become a warrior like my father.

I turned my eyes at the clothes the Charles boy gave me and the Yōso Academy uniform I was given with the acceptance letter. I groaned, getting out of my bed, feeling tired.

I have to apologize...

I shook my head, trying to get out that thought. But, I was excited to try on those clothes, especially the sneakers. I never wore anything on my feet.

The uniform fitted perfectly on me but the bust parr felt a bit tight. I glared at the short skirt I'm wearing, moving freely in the wind.

I heard a familiar male voice in the living room talking to my mom. I hid under my bed when Charles and a girl entered my room. I trembled but once again, my ears were making it too obvious.

"She's so cute!" the girl squealed.

"Sis, you are scaring her. You must know that out of all people" he sighed.

I revealed myself slowly then covered my eyes with my ears. I was scared and feeling guilty for what I did to him. He moved my ears from my eyes and smiled. They froze, looking at my school uniform.

"You'll-"

"I have no choice"

His sister smiled, patting my head. "She's a keeper. Let's help her" she smiled proudly.

She smirked, tilting her head at him. He sighed heavily, looking at his hands. "I'll help you but, I just want to know your name" he said, looking at me.

"Flora" I said, folding my arms.

He smiled a little, blushing then his sister interrupted him. "That's so cute" she smiled softly.

"Tha-Thank you" I shuttered.

He came closer to me with a magic ora surrounding his hands. I closed my eyes tightly then felt a bit different. I searched for my rabbit ears and tail with my hands. They were not there. I slowly placed my hands on a new part of my body near my eyes. They felt and looked like Charles and his sister ears.

"So, how is it?" he asked.

I covered my mouth as tears ran down my cheeks. I was overjoyed. I'm going to Yōso Academy.

"Perfect" I smiled weakly.
