Today wasn't your day. You failed a test, wet your cards, broken Yuzu's arm, lost your phone, and you were outside in the rain with no umbrella. Best day ever! You hadn't seen Yuya all day and you wondered why. He always told you where he was, unless he texted or called today, dangit. You hear crying when you pass a giant tree near your home. You inspect it to find Yuya. His head was in his knees, sobs could be heard. He constantly cried about the date.
'Today is...' You slid down beside him before hugging him. He looked at you, shocked and surprised. You let him go and look into his eyes. They were stained, as well as his cheeks.
"What are you doing out here without a jacket on?" He worriedly asked , giving you his. You shake your head and put it back on him.
"Keep it, you need it more than me" you tell him. He looks at you, his award winning smile not on his face. You make faces at him, he looks at you strangely.
"What are you doing" he asks.
"Making you smile" you say . He nods his head.
"I don't think anything can make me smile" he looks down, not making eye contact.
"Oh c'mon, smile for me, Mr Tomato" your nickname always made him smile, but not this time. You try tickling him, but that doesn't help.
"Why are you out here so late?" Yuya asks.
"I had a very crappy day. I think the depression spreads" you say. He looks at you, noticing you didn't have your lucky necklace.
"Where's your necklace?" He asks. You shrug and say,
"Couldn't find it this morning. I was hoping your smile would cheer me up" you say with a smirk as you lower your head. He looks at you, his mouth slightly open.
"I'm sorry. You know how this day makes me feel" he says.
"You weren't the only one effected. We all get emotional, but all we can do is smile, like he always said to" Yuya starts to smile and you hug him.
You both get up, ready to head your separate ways when you feel a vibrate in your pocket. You feel in there to pull out the thing that caused it, your phone.
"Looks like I had it the whole day" you say. You run off waving, but then run back. Yuya looks at you confused until you kiss his cheek.
"See ya, tomato head" you say running off and waving. Yuya touches his cheek before smiling.
"If only she knew I had her phone the whole time" he laughs as he walks away. You will never be able to unsee all the hotness you seen.
