In the end, the girls decided to split up. If they got into trouble, they had walkie-talkies with them. Well, Yuzu brought them for no reason.

  Alexis went to the left, Rin went to the right, and Yuzu went straight. The place forked into three and the girls headed in the direction they were supposed to go.

  Once Alexis was alone, Dark flew out of her bag. 'Alex, you sure about this? I mean, not that I'm scared or anything...'

  'Oh... Not scared? Really? Dark, get yourself together! I'm doing this because I want to. How many times must I say that very line 'till it gets into that tiny head of yours?' Alexis said, poking Dark's head gently.

  Alexis continued walking until she saw somewhat seemed like an opening. She walked through the opening and saw a garden.

  She gasp. There were roses everywhere. Alexis smiled, brushing her fingers upon a rose. Dark looked around uncertainly.

  She continued walking through the bushes. 'Hey, Alex. You do realise we are in a maze right?' Dark asked.

  Alexis looked at Dark blankly. 'What? We're in a maze?! Don't tell me we're lost!'

  Dark flew up and looked around. 'Nah! Just walk straight and turn left. We somehow went the right way.' Dark said, flying down next to her.

  Alexis rolled her eyes and continued walking. Soon, she saw a clearing. As she ran towards it, she felt like she was being tugged back. Turning around, she saw vines. Vines of dark green wrapping around her ankle. (If your wondering, Dark has the power to heal things overnight. So Alexis' ankle is perfectly fine now.)

   She looked around for Dark but he was nowhere to be seen. 'Ugh... Now I have to handle this...' She dug around her bag and found a pocket knife. She began cutting through the vines. Soon, she was free from the vine's grasp.

  'Dark? Dark! This is not funny! Where are you?' Alexis called, worriedly. She walked through the clearing and saw a single rose in a jar on a table. The petals were slowly falling from the stem. Alexis quickly lifted the jar from the table and gently placed it on the floor.

  'What a beauty...' Alexis caressed the rose. Then she heard a noise behind her. 'Dark? Is that you?'

  'Alexis Furukawa. We meet again.' An oh-so familliar voice said.

  'Berserk.' Alexis said and turned around to face Berserk.

  'I was wondering if this creature belonged to you?' Berserk smirked, holding Dark by the leg. Alexis watched as Dark dangled from his leg. Dark had a bored expression and his tiny arms(?) were crossed.

  'Well?'Dark cried.

  'Oh. So it talks. It will make a great pet.' Berserk smirked. Dark started panicking.

  'What'cha gonna do to me, huh? Eat me? Keep me here forever? Ban Alex from keeping me?' Dark panicked and tried to break free but Berserk's grasp was strong.

  'Dark, stop giving him ideas.' Alexis warned.

  'Heh... All those ideas sounds good but I have something else in mind.' Berserk said, dropping Dark. Dark flew over to Alexis and sat on her shoulder.

  'I want you to stay with me. Your friends will be leaving soon enough. However, you will stay with me. Tha-' Berserk was cut off.

  'But what if I don't want to?' Alexis retorted, crossing her arms.

  'That is not an option. You will stay with me even if I have to force you to!' Berserk growled. 'If you don't stay with me, your friends will have to be kept prisoners.' Alexis' eyes widen at this statement.

  'You wouldn't,' Alexis looked down, her bangs framing her eyes perfectly. Her voice quivered when she spoke.

  'And why wouldn't I? I took over this poor boy's body. That means I can do worse to you.' Berserk snarled.

  'Ugh! Why do I even bother talking to you?' Alexis mumbled and looked away. 'Fine. I will stay with you. Only if you spare my friends!'

  'Deal.' Berserk smirked.

  Suddenly, Berserk fell to his knees. 'ARGGHHHHHH! What are you doing?'

  'Berserk! Are you alright?' Alexis asked, kneeling down so she could face Berserk.

  Berserk removed his hands from his eyes. 'Why does this always happen when I'm in control?!' Berserk screamed and then Yuya's voice was heard.

  'No! I won't let you hurt Alex!'

  'Yuya?' Alexis turned and saw that Yuya had once again managed to take control of his own body.

  'Alex! Are you alright? Did he hurt you?' Yuya cried, hugging her.

  'I'm fine, Yuya. Just a little shocked... and maybe a bit terrified.' Alexis smiled and hugged back. Suddenly, they heard a voice behind them.

  'Aha! Alex! I knew you had a thing for Yuya! You owe my 200 yen, Yuzu!' Rin shouted, holding out her hand for Yuzu to give her the money. Yuzu sighed in defeat and gave Rin the money.

  'Rin? Yuzu?' Alexis said while Dark flew into her bag. Dark was fast but being black doesn't help when Alexis is wearing white and blue. 

  'Alex? What's in your bag? I thought I saw something fly into it.' Yuzu asked.

  Shoot!

  'Ah. It's nothing.' Alexis giggled, nervously.

  'Okay, if you say so...' Yuzu said.

  Alexis turned back to Yuya. 'Hey, may I talk to you in private?' Yuya nodded. Yuzu and Rin left, saying they needed to take care of something.

  'Yuya. There are so many roses in this garden. But this rose,' Alexis gestured towards the rose on the table. 'why keep it locked up?'

  Yuya sighed. 'There's a lot of things you aren't allowed to know in this castle but I'll tell you. Only for this time. You know about Berserk right?'

  Alexis nodded.

  'Well, this rose is the time. Time. Berserk wants to create a new body ever since he lost his old one. When all the rose's petals fall and wither, Berserk will once again have the power to create a new body and I will die. However, if I, in the Yuya form not Berserk, fall in love with a girl and that girl loves me back, Berserk will be destroyed. Everything he created will be destroyed. Everything he destroyed will go back to normal. Berserk has been researching on how to create new bodies. I have tried to stop him multiple of times but he is just too strong. I myself has seen the spell. It is very dangerous. People have tried using that spell and died in the process along with the people around him. This is why you must stay. I think out of your friends, you are the one with the most potential. You can break this spell, stop berserk and everything will go back to normal.' Yuya explained.

  'But, why me?' Alexis asked, confused. 'Why me of all people?'

  'Well, because of your determination to finish certain tasks, your bravery, your kind, sweet and cute.' Yuya smiled, taking Alexis' hand in his.

  Upon hearing that, Alexis blushed darker than Yuya's hair. 'I-I-I'm n-not c-cute, Yuya!'

  'Oh yeah. You aren't cute. You are very cute.' Yuya laughed.

  'Yuya!' Alexis cried, covering her face with her hands. They joked for awhile then walked out of the maze together.

  'See you at dinner, my fair lady.' Yuya kissed the back of Alexis' hand and walked away after taking her to her room.

  Alexis fell on her bed and covered her blushing face with her pillow. Dark flew out of her bag with 'that' face on.

  'Okay. Okay. Fine. The marshmallows are in the drawer.' Alexis said. Dark flew over and dug into the bag of marshmallows.

  Dark's head suddenly popped up. 'Do you like Yuya?'

  'What?! Of course not! I just see him as a friend! Heheheh...' Alexis stammered, lifting her head from the pillow.

  'Aha~~~' Dark smirked.

  Alexis buried her head into the pillow again. Yuya's words kept repeating in her head.

  'Cute...'

  You think I'm cute, huh?

  What she didn't know was, Yuya had been standing outside her door this whole time and heard the conversation. 'So, she only sees me as a friend? I guess I'm just not cut out for her...' Yuya whispered to himself and walked away.
