Naruto laid Gaara down on the rich green grass in the meadow.

Once Deidara had exploded, there wasn't any sign of him i was pissed off for a while, put calmed down, and was now leaning against Kakashis shoulder, sobbing silently.

Gaaras death hurt. A lot.

Naruto was crying as well, and i couldn't imagine how hard it was for him not to get revenge on Deidara. "Why does everything bad happen to Gaara? He became Kazekage. He Just became the Kazekage."

"Try to calm yourself, Naruto Uzumaki." Chiyo said.

I clenched my fists. How dare she? She didn't know what it felt like to lose a friend who understood you and what you went through!

"You shut up!" Naruto spun on the spot and tears flew from his eyes. "This would have never happened if you hadn't put that monster in him! You call us Jinchuuriki. What right do you have to decide our fate!?"

(Yes, it's the shortened version of his speech, but i can't remember the rest. But that's basically how it ended. On with the story!)

Everyone hung their heads in shame except for me. They knew he was right.

"Naruto." Sakura whispered.

Lady Chiyos head snapped up with a determined look. She struggled to her feet and walked past Naruto, putting her hands on Gaaras chest.

I watched her intently. What was she doing?

She did a justu, and all of us felt it activate.

"Lady Chiyo, that jutsu!" Sakura gasped.

"Isn't that........?" i asked.

Judging by Sakuras look, it was.

Lady Chiyo was going to revive Gaara......... At the cost of her own life.

She knew the consequences, but was doing it anyway. And she was gaining a hell of a lot more respect from me.

She was pushing her limits though. She had already been poisoned. I could actually smell it on her. "Not enough chakra." she strained.

Naruto went on the other side of Gaara, in front of Chiyo. "Use my chakra. Please."

I saw the desperation in his eyes.

So did she, because she said "Place your hands on top of mine."

I stood up and sat Gaaras head on my lap.

After a few minutes, she stopped and collapsed.

Sakura caught her. "Lady Chiyo."

I shook my head. It was too late. She was gone. I then looked down at Gaaras face.

I activated my normal red Sharingan and saw that chakra was pumping through his body, and that his heart and other organs had restarted. It was only going to be a matter of time before he woke back up.

Ninja from the sand arrived and waited with us. I stayed where i was.

One hour ticked by.

Then he stirred and opened his eyes.

"Yuuki..........Uchiha."

I smiled, on the verge of crying again. "Hello Gaara. You didn't really think we'd let you get away that easily did you?"

He gave a faint smile and i helped him sit up.

"Gaara!" Temari pushed through the crowd.

"Temari. Everyone." he was shocked.

I shook his shoulder. "Look who else is here."

His eyes focused on the blond ninja. "Naruto."

He grinned.

"But how?" his gaze wandered to Sakura, who had Chiyo in her arms.

"She's just sleeping though, right?"

"No Naruto." Kankuro told Him. "She's not going to wake up. She used 'That' justu. Only she knew how, and she gave her life for Gaara."

Gaara leaned into me for support and i helped him stand up.

"Let us all remember Lady Chiyo." he closed his eyes.

Everyone followed suit, including me.

It stayed quiet for a few minutes.

When the time was over, Gaara reopened his eyes and leaned on me, trying to move forward.

"Let's get you home shall we?" i chuckled.

He nodded. "Thank you. Yuuki Uchiha."

I grinned. "We're friends Gaara. Just call me Yuuki. Besides you're the Kazekage, you can address me by any name you like."

He chuckled.

"LORD KAZEKAGE!!!!! HE'S RETURNED!" the villagers boomed.

I smiled. He really had become important, just like he wanted. He had reached his dream, like Naruto would one day.

"Welcome home." I told him.

He smiled and it was amazing how much it brightened his face.

"It's good to be back."

We visited Lady Chiyos grave afterwards.

"She always said that she didn't want a headstone, but i got her one anyway." Lady Chiyos brother said.

I nodded.

"She should be remembered for what she did for the village." Kakashi said, leaning on Guy.

"Yeah. Thanks Granny Chiyo." Naruto bowed his head.

I walked forward and channeled my chakra through my hands onto the grave. It made beautiful golden flowers, made by me.

"These flowers shall never wilt, unless Lady Chiyo is forgotten. Therefore, they shall live forever. My gift for what she did."

Chiyos brother thanked me.

I let Naruto say good-bye to Gaara before i did.

"You make sure that you don't get into trouble. I won't be here to save you next time."

Gaara's lips twitched. "I won't get into another situation like this, if thats what you're telling me."

"You catch on quick. Take care of yourself Lord Kazekage." i patted him on the back and gave him a small hug.

We headed off with waves. Guy was giving Kakashi a piggyback.

Kakashi was complaining that it would slow them down, so Guy ran ahead of us.

Lee saw his sensei go ahead and motioned for Neji to get onto his back.

"No way." Neji protested.

I snorted, trying to hold back laughter. They could be so weird sometimes.

Juro materialized. "Would you like a ride Milady?"

"Sure. So would the others, if it's not too much to ask."

He scoffed. "Please, you are forgetting i am a demon." he increased in size so all of us could ride him. "And we shall catch up to Guy and Kakashi in no time."

I laughed as i helped everyone get on him, and he set off, catching Guy in seconds.

"Need a lift!?" i called down.

"The power of youth tells me not to accept!" he called back up.

I laughed. "What about you Kakashi?"

"I accept!" he jumped and held onto Juros paw. I held onto his fur, grabbed Kakashis hand and hauled him up behind me.

He nuzzled His face to the side of my neck.

I giggled.

When we made camp for the night, i pulled him aside.

"I want to talk to you about what happened while i was away." i hissed.

"Alright."

I pulled his hand and Juro kept watch.

"Before i tell you, please know that i'm so so so sorry." i teared up.

"I already know what you did." he told me.

I gawked. "What?"

"You joined the Akatsuki."
