You yawned softly, waking up to your pregnant wife of 8 months. Ever since that fateful day at the clinic, she had been pregnant with your child.

Well, it was mostly because you two had wanted to have kids for a long time, and since adoption takes forever...
One thing lead to another and you both had decided just to go with a doner. You two were trying to figure out who would carry the child, until Amelia suggested that you two settle it over a coin toss. You had won. And now she was carrying a beautiful bundle of joy.

But I must say... You thought, it's been a weird journey...

-4 months-
You got out of bed to find that Canada was no longer beside you, "babe? Where are you?" You called out, as if in response, you heard a loud groan coming from the bathroom.

Letting out a soft sigh you followed the source of the sound to see Maddie hunched over on the toilet, her glasses placed on the sink. "Maddie, are you ok?" You asked worriedly, bending down and rubbing your lovers back softly.

She mumbled something softly, too quiet to hear, before gagging.
"Morning sickness?" You assumed, she nodded.
You weren't sure what else to do, so you continued to tub her back gently, speaking comforting words to her.

After a while she was able to remover herself from the toilet bowl, and you two proceeded downstairs for breakfast.

-5 months-
Maddie sat on the couch, a hand resting on her 5 month pregnant belly as the two of you snuggled on the couch, watching a movie.
Maddie could feel her eyes getting heavier, softly closing them. She was just about to drift off into a doze when...
*bump*
She felt something softly pressing against the side of her belly making her flinch.

*bump*

There it was again! "You ok?" You asked her, looking at Maddie concerned. "Y-yeah. It's kicking." She smiled, you grinned happily, placing a hand on her belly.
*bump*
Your smile only grew.

You blushed softly, as you leaned down to softly give her belly a small peck, she sat up against the armrest of the couch, allowing you to do so.

"I-I wanna say something... But it's kinda embarrassing..." You admitted, she laughed softly "go ahead..." She agreed.

You smiled softly, rubbing your lovers belly tenderly. "Hello... Um, hi." She began, making Maddie giggle.
"I'm your mom, it's nice to meet you... I hope we get along and I know you'll be as pretty as your mommy..." You said, making the Canadian blush softly.

"We can't wait to see you." You finished, laying back down next to Maddie. "See, now that wasn't too bad was it?"
You shrugged "I guess not..." You mumbled softly, making Maddie giggle.

-61/2 months-
Ever since she had reached her third trimester... Things had started to get... Weird.

"Maddie no."
"Common, give it!" She begged, trying to reach the bottle of maple syrup that was in your hands, holding it far away from her

"You can't put maple syrup on poutine!!!" You scolded, "it's not healthy!"
Maddie pouted "please!" She begged, one hand on her swollen belly. "No!"you disagreed. She glared at you.
"(Name) (L/n)... Hand over the bottle of maple syrup this instant..." She said threateningly. It was scary really...

However, you stood your ground. "No," you answered, putting it on top of the fridge. She pouted softly, feeling tears well up in her eyes. "You're mean!" She said, you sighed, feeling bad. You walked over and hugged her.

"I'm sorry... But it's really not healthy for you to be eating like that..." You said softly, rubbing her belly.
"I'm sorry..." She mumbled quietly into your sweater as small tears fell down her cheeks. "Shhh... You've done nothing wrong..." You soothed.

You laughed softly at the memory, feeling the baby kicking in her belly. Ever since a couple days ago, Amelia had been staying over to help out her sister.
Which had made things even more eccentric...

"NO!!!" You immediately shot up from your desk at the scream, bolting out of the room, to see... Amelia covered in pancake batter?... And Maddie was yelling?

"You can't do it like that!!!" She yelled, fuming mad.
'This isn't good...' You thought, walking up to the two, separating them before Maddie ripped Amelia apart, who was trembling in terror at her sister's sudden outburst.

"NO ONE UNDERSTANDS ME IN THIS HOUSE!!!" Maddie yelled, stalking past you into your shared bedroom, slamming the door shut, actually causing the wood of the door to crack.

"What on earth happened?..." You asked, shocked.
"I don't know..." She said sheepishly, "we were making pancakes, and then she just flipped and the batter spilled all over me..." She explained, still terrified.

You let out a soft sigh. 'She probably needs some time to cool off...' You figured, "here, let's get everything cleaned up." You suggested, Amelia nodded, as the two of you cleaned up the kitchen.
Once you were done, Amelia announced that she was going to take a shower, and walked off.

You nodded, before walking over to your shared bedroom, entering silently and closing the door.
A mound of blankets, containing your lover, was seated on the bed.

You smiled softly as you got an idea, strolling over to the blankets you yawned. "Man, I'm awfully tired... I wonder where Maddie is... Oh well, I guess I should just take a nap on this awfully comfy looking pile of blankets!" You said, pressing down on the blankets gently, fluffing them up.

A soft giggle came from underneath the blankets, you fake gasped. "These blankets are awfully noisy..." You commented, slipping your hands under the blankets, tickling her toes.

"S-stop it!" She laughed, jerking her feet away, you smirked.
Ripping the blankets off of her and attacking your lover with tickles.
Her face was red from laughter, as she squirmed underneath you.

"Ok, ok! I give!" She giggled, you getting off her, she propped herself up against the headboard of the bed, taking a deep breath.

"Well, that was fun!" You smiled, sitting next to her on the bed.
"Y-yeah." She breathed, trying to catch her breath.
Everything was silent for a couple seconds before she finally spoke.

"H-hey... I'm really sorry about earlier. I don't know what came over myself..." She apologized, looking down at her large belly, the hoodie she was wearing almost too small now.

"Hey... It's alright. It's not your fault." You stated, placing your hand on her belly. You felt a soft kick, smiling.

"But you know, the person you really should be apologizing too is Amelia..." You suggested, she nodded, yawning.
"I will..." She said.
You rubbed her back, soothing her. "You tired?" You asked, giving her a soft kiss on the lips.

She nodded "the baby hasn't stopped moving..." She mumbled, closing her eyes softly, and snuggling up to your chest.

You laughed softly, "they're a feisty one eh?"
"He," Maddie corrected, you stared at her confused.
"I-I think it's a boy..."
You smiled, kissing the top of her head "I can't wait to meet him..." You said soothingly.
"What should we name him?" Maddie asked.

"Maybe... (B/n)?" You suggested.
She nodded "I like that name..." She mumbled softly, as you continued to rub her back in slow circles, feeling exhaustion taking over the two of you.

Amelia slowly walked up to the room, opening the door quietly. "Sis? (Name)?" She whispered, seeing the two of you sound asleep. Amelia gushed and took out her phone, snapping a picture.

"I'd better post this on facebook..." She whispered, leaving them in peace, closing the door behind her.

And here you were, waking up to this beauty beside you.
Maddie groaned softly, fluttering open her eyes.
"How'd you sleep?" You asked, she sighed softly. "Ok... Better then yesterday, the baby keeps kicking me..." She yawned, feeling something press against her belly once again.

"How's your back?"
"It aches a little... But I'm fine. Thank you for asking... How are you?" She asked, with a soft smile on her face.

"Good. Hey what's that smell?" You asked, Maddie smelling it as well, her heart beating quick as a rabbit.
"Pancakes..." She mumbled, trying to sit up, but finding it hard to get up.

You laughed softly, "need help?" You offered, she nodded. As you helped her out of bed and down the stairs.
Amelia stood in the kitchen. "Good morning!" She greeted, a stack of pancakes on the table. Maddie's mouth watered.
"Sit down and have a couple!" Amelia grinned.

"Thanks!" You said, getting a plate for yourself, and sitting down at the table.

"H-hey about yesterday I-" Maddie began, but Amelia silenced her "no harm done, it's ok sista~" she mused, giving her a thumbs up.
The canadian girl let out a sigh of relief "thank you..." She said, going over and grabbing some pancakes for herself before sitting down next to you.
Today should be an interesting morning... You concluded, shoveling a bite of pancakes into your face.

You two had spent most of the day picking out baby cloths, and toys.
Amelia had tried to put an American flag on the crib whilst you two were painting it, but you managed to stop her before she could.

The entire day was going by smoothly, except for one thing. Maddie sat in the rocking chair in the nursery, her brows furrowed in concentration. A hand on her pregnant belly.

"Hey are you alright?" You asked, sitting down next to her in the other chair, rubbing her back tenderly.
"I-I don't know..." She mumbled, gulping as she felt the baby kick her again. "H-he keeps kicking me really hard."

You moved your hand gently onto her belly. "Do you think he may come soon?" You asked, worried.
She flinched, you felt that one too.
"Yeah... But I can't say for sure." She informed you, her eyes clouded with worry.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I'll be here for you..." You said, giving her a soft kiss on the forehead.
"Are you nervous?"
She nodded. "Yeah, I am... What if something goes wrong?" She asked, gulping softly.

You froze, unsure on how to answer.
"Let's try not to think about that... If something bad happens we'll have China (I forgot her name...) and Amelia remember?" You reminded her, as she rocked back and fourth in the wheel chair slowly.

"R-right..." She flinched, feeling the baby kick again, since you worked as a nurse, you know how this stuff went down...
However... You'd rather not deliver your own baby, since well... You'd be paranoid of screwing something up.

You slipped your hands into her oversized hockey jersey, massaging her belly gently
"The baby's head down." You concluded, she winced at another kicking spasm.

"It shouldn't be too much longer, hang in there." You told her, giving her a peck on the lips. "W-we should probably call China though... Just to be safe..."
You. nodded, grabbing the phone and dialing your friends number.

"Hello?" China answered the other side of the phone. You told her about what was going on, and she promised to be there soon.

"We're gonna have a baby Maddie..." You breathed excitedly, she smiled, squeezing your hand gently. "It shouldn't be long..." She said.
