||I'll love you forever|| Fem!France X Daughter reader

((This is kinda based off of a book that my mom used to read to me as a kid... God I miss that book...))

Francine smiled softly as she held you, rocking back in forth in her rocking chair. The dim light coming from the crack in the nursery door, along with the moonlight from the window illuminated the small room. Francine was exhausted, having a child sure was a lot of work...
Even still, she didn't regret it.
She brushed her hand across your cheek as you opened your beautiful (e/c) eyes.
"Sleep my sweet flower, tomorrow you will wake up and live more then you did yesterday..."
With that you closed your eyes again, falling asleep.
Francine placed you in the crib by the window, your (s/c) skin glowing softly in the faint light.
"I'll love you forever,
Forever and more,
My sweet little child, who I adore..."

---

Francine scowled softly, she felt like she was about ready to pull her hair out. Her two year old daughter (Name) was up to no good again. This time, her target had been her keys and watch, which had been flushed down the toilet.

She picked (Name) up, who giggled, gripping onto her mother's shirt.
"Silly child..." She sighed, carrying the baby upstairs.

"I love you when you make mistakes, I love you when you cause things to break." She said silently.
"I'll love you forever my dear child, even though you can get a little wild..." She laughed softly, placing you back in your crib with your toys.
You stood in your crib, giggling.

---

You sighed softly, sitting on the curb of the road at your school.
Rain poured down onto the ground, casting a sad aura onto the day.
"Bonjour." You looked up to see your mom standing over you with an umbrella, smiling.
"What are you doing here my dear? Shouldn't you be in the play?..."
You shook your head, "a bunch of the kids were making fun of me... The whole audience laughed, you saw what a big mistake I made!"

Francine sat beside you, pulling you close to her, kissing the top of her daughters head.
"You were amazing..." She said, hugging you close. "Don't let the others hurt you...

You sniffled, and nodded, hugging your mom.

"I'll love you forever, even when others don't.
I'll never let them hurt you... I won't." She whispered, stoking the girls soft (h/c) hair.

--

Francine groaned, looking at the huge mess before her.
You had just thrown a house party, A FLIPPING HOUSE PARTY!!!

Francine looked down at her daughter, who stared down at the ground.
"(Name)..."
You looked away.
"I bet you're pretty mad huh..."
She said, Francine sighed.
"I'm not mad (Name)... Just disappointed... You know better then this..."
Matthew watched from a distance, the little boy not wishing to interrupt them.

"You will be grounded for two weeks, and I will take away your phone.." She decided, you looked up at her shocked.
"What!? That's ridiculous!!!" You lept up, mad.
"It's a fair punishment."
"Fair!? How is that fair!!! You're ruining my life!"
"How am I ruining your life? You need to watch your attitude around me young lady!" Francine said, still worked up.

"I HATE YOU!" You yelled, running upstairs, burying your head into your pillows.

"I'll love you forever, even when you don't take my advice... I only wish you'd come to understand in time."

---

Francine sighed, rubbing her temples. The last thing the 6 month pregnant women needed was stress. Turning to see her five year old son, her eyes softened.
"Matthew, I know your there."
"A-are you mad at (Name)?... Y-you're not going to smack her are you?..." Francine looked at her son in shock.

"Non! Why would I do that!"
Matthew stayed silent for a moment, Francine picked up her son, sitting him on her lap.

"B-because that's what daddy does sometimes when he's mad at us..." Francine looked at her son in shock. "H-he didn't want me to tell you that..."
Francine stood, walking upstairs and tucked Matthew into bed
"I'll talk to your papa about that alright? He won't do that anymore I promise..." She kissed his forehead, before going back downstairs to confront her husband.

"It's not good of them!!! They're afraid of you!!"
"Not good for them?! I'm pretty sue I know what's good for them!!"

(Name) stood at the top of the stairs with Matthew, holding his hand, as the boy cried into her shoulder.
"It's ok... They'll get through it... They always do..." The female hushed, comforting her brother.

"I think it's about time for you to leave!" Francine said harshly, pointing at the door, he glared at her. Biting back harsh words.
"Fine!! But you can bet your ass that a court will be hearing of this!" He yelled, before stalking out.

Matthew cried harder into your shoulder, you felt tears fall down your face as well.
"It's ok... It'll all be ok..."

Francine took a deep breathe, feeling her baby boy kicking again. Did he know that his father was leaving?... She rested a hand on her stomach before going upstairs and seeing the two kids.

"M-mama, what's going to happen to you and papa?..." You asked, Francine shook her head.
"He won't be coming back anytime soon..."

"I-I don't wanna go with him!!" Matthew cried.
Francine wiped away his tears. "Shh... It's ok Matthew, you won't... I promise..."

"I'll love you forever
It's not your fault, even without papa, your life won't halt."

---

"Please, no!" Francine cried as Arthur led the three children to his car.
"No, we're not going with you!" (Name) yelled, holding her brothers hand's.
"Come along (Name)..." Arthur said, the police car outside as the police men took them away from Francine, one holding the female back as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Please! Don't take them away from me!!!" She cried, tears streaming down her face.

Arthur had claimed she was mentally ill and "incapable to take care of the children." During court, and now she would lose the most precious thing to her.

"Please!...." She begged, but her pleas fell on death ears as they led them away.
"Mama!" Matthew cried, being forced into the car with his sister.
"Matthew!!" She struggled more but it was to no avail.
She watched them drive her children away.

"This is all your fault love..." Arthur said, glaring at her before leaving her, a sobbing mess on her porch step.

"I'll love you forever, even when I can't be there. Please, oh please know that I care..."

---

You sighed softly, sitting in your dorm room, trying to figure out what to write to your mom.
You missed her, a lot... Ever since that day, you had only been able to see her about once or twice a month. You missed her, a lot.

"Hey mom,
College is really hard, everyone is doing well. Matthew is starting high school soon. He's killing it at hockey! You should see him play!
Alfred's doing pretty good too, he's starting to play football!
I'm in my softmore year of college now. The workload is crazy! But I know it'll be worth it!
Other then that, everything's been going pretty well... Oh, and say hi to Pierri! I miss that little guy!

Love,
(Name)"

You finished writing, closing your diary. Whenever you would go and visit your mom you'd read these little entries you made for her to her.
She would always laugh and found it funny.
You were ecstatic, this christmas break you'd be able to see her again!

"I'll love you forever, I'm so so proud, for my little bird has left the nest, and is soaring around."

---

You walked up to your moms house excitedly. You had just arrived from the airport.

Silence...

"Mom?" You looked around, trying to find her.
"Oh, bonjour (Name)!" You looked over in the kitchen to see your mom. There were dark circles under her eyes, and over all she looked sickly.
You hugged your mom, looking her over.

"Are you alright mom?..." You asked, frowning.
She nodded "oui, oui I'm fine..." She said. The glow she used to have was completely deteriorated.

"Are Matthew and Alfred here already?" You asked, she shook her head as the two of your sat down at the kitchen table.
"Non... Arthur... Wouldn't let them c..." She spaced out for a moment, looking at the table blankly, her expression dull.

"Mom? Mom!"
She snapped out of your thoughts, "oh, I'm sorry! What was I talking about?..."
"Matthew and Alfred... Are they coming?"
She shook her head, "Arthur wouldn't let them come. That bastard..." She hissed, "he dares to take my children away from me!!!"

You looked at your mom in shock, she never got mad like this, and she most certainly never swore.

"Mama, are you sure you're alright? I could call Julchen if you want..." The mention of her doctor friend cause her to snap her head towards you, glaring.

"Non! I told you I was fine! Why don't you ever believe me?! Why are you ever here!?" She demanded, glaring at you like you were her worst enemy.

You gulped, "M-mom... You invited me here..."
She seemed to snap out of her temper, "O-oh... I'm sorry... I-I don't know what came over me..." She stuttered.

"I brought my diary, if you wanted to read the letters..." You smiled softly, trying to change the subject.
"Letters, what are you talking about...? I already brought the mail in today..."

You shook your head "no, the letters that I write to you, remember?"
She nodded softly, "I-I think..."

You were about to ask her if there was anything wrong when the phone rang, "e-excuse me for a moment..." She said, slowly getting up. As she did, you noticed how thin she looked, her muscles had completely deteriorated.
She looked utterly sickly.
"No, mom, I got it..." You said, standing up and moving her back into her chair.
"Non. You sit down and enjoy your time..." She demanded, shuffling over to the phone.

She picked it up "Who is this?..." She asked, as she was on the phone you looked around, seeing that she had covered all the windows and mirrors.

Your mom LOVED having a beautiful view to look at, she liked to see the world from all sides, so there were plenty of mirrors and windows in her house usually.
She liked having things tidy, and had quite a knack for finding art to hang on her walls.
But now things were disorganized and disheveled, everything was out of place. Paintings were shoved into boxes or in corners.

Something was seriously wrong.

After your mom got off the phone, you smiled.
"I have to call my dorm mate to let her know I've arrived, I'll be a moment..."

Your mom nodded absentmindedly , only a soft grunt in response.

You stepped out into the living room, dialing Arthur's phone number. Your 11 year old brother picked up the phone.
"Hello?" Matthew greeted, "hey Mattie, do you think I could speak to Arthur really quick? It's (Name)."
He nodded and put Arthur on the phone.

"Yes (Name)?"
You took a deep breath, being careful to be as quiet as possible so your mom wouldn't hear you from the other room.

"I-I think there might be something wrong with Mom..."
Arthur grunted, his tone of voice coming out cold, "has that bitch wound herself up a tree yet?"
Your eyes narrowed, "no! I'm afraid there might be something really wrong with her! She keeps forgetting things, and she's looking really sickly."

"Shouldn't you be calling Julchen or Isabella then instead of me? I have no interest in what she's doing! Now, unless there's something else you need (Name), I'm afraid this conversation will have to end."
(Name) frowned, "no, that's all." You spat. "Goodbye!" You said coldly, hanging up on him, sighing frustratedly.

"You called Arthur didn't you?..." You turned to see your Mom leaning against the door frame.
Small tears filled her eyes.

"Mom..." You breathed, walking towards her softly.
"I tried to be a good mother to you three... Why does he hate me?... I bet Matthew and Alfred hate me too... Don't they?"

You shook your head, hugging your mom gently, as if she was made of glass.
"What, no! We love you mama! Arthur's just a jerk that's all... I'm more worried about you..."

She hugged you back, kissing your forehead.
"I'm sorry... I don't know what's been coming over me lately..." She said, before backing away from you and breaking into a coughing fit.

"Mama!" You held her up so she wouldn't fall over.
"Sit down on the couch." You told her, helping her over to the couch, assisting her in sitting down.

"I-I'm sorry..." She breathed, leaning against the back of the couch.
"We should call Julchen... I-I'm really worried about your mom..." She nodded softly, admitting to her illness.

You smiled softly. "Good.. You said relieved.
"(Name)..."
"Hm?..."
"Will you read me those letters of yours?..."
You beamed softly, nodding and getting up to grab your diary. You sat down, reading every single entry up to this point.

You heard your mom laugh for the first time in a long while, her "ohohon"s filling the room at parts. Like when you read her the story about how two of your theatre major friends ended up reenacting romeo and Juliet while drunk one night.

"Thank you (Name)..." She said softly, holding your hand as you finished, closing the notebook. Her tired eyes drifted closed.

"I'll love you forever, even though..." She tried to say as you walked down the hallway, drifting off at the last sentence.
"M-mama?"
She fell onto her knees, her whole body twisted in pain.
"Mom!!!"

---

You sat at her hospital bed, Matthew and Alfred beside you, both were crying.

Julchen looked down at her friend, shaking her head softly. "I told her not to push herself... Dombkolf.."

You nodded. "She doesn't have that much time left... It's up to you if you want to pull the plug or not..."

"I'll think about it..." You said, staring at your mom.
"Mama..." You said quietly, your mother opened her beautiful blue eyes.
"(Name)?..." She breathed, "Alfred and Matthew too..." You said, Francine smiled.
"Thank you... For bringing them here..."

You smiled and nodded, tears in your eyes.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be a good mother to all of you..." She took a deep rasping breath.

Small tears fell from your eyes.

"Don't push yourself." You said, kissing her on top of your head.

"We'll love you forever, even when you're gone. Mama we love you, and all that you do and have done."
You sniffed, she smiled, squeezing your hand softly before closing her eyes, the heart monitor let out a loud beep, letting you know that your mama had left this world, but not forever.

You swore you could have heard her reply in your head.
"I love you my children, my greatest gifts..."

--- Epilogue ---

You yawned softly, hearing a loud crying sound coming from outside your room. You wriggled out of your husband/wife's arms and walked down the hallway to the nursery. You took your baby out of its crib, rocking her back and forth. The new born slowly stopped crying, looking up at you.

"I'll love you forever, my sweet baby girl, my treasure, my child my pearl."
