Dying!Country!Reader X Fem!Hetalia (sad as shiz)
You smiled softly, staring at the brightly glowing screen in front of you, small tears glided down your cheeks like a fast moving stream. One after another they fell onto your lap, small sobs wracking your body.
Your lip quivered softly, still keeping it's soft curved smile.
"I-it's over isn't it..." You took a pained breath, your (h/c) hair softly falling into your eyes.
"And as the leader of the communist republic of (C/n)... I hear by declare, that this nation is dissolved."
Your stomach dropped at those words. But over all the sadness, came fear.
"I-I'm going to die..." You wheezed, clutching onto your shoulders.
You knew this was going to happen, your boss had told you weeks before.
You were a powerful country, one that had ruled for five hundred years now. Why did it all have to end here?...
You knew it would happen, and yet you were still afraid.
You couldn't take it.
The worst part was that you didn't really have any siblings, you never had an underling either. You raised yourself, had to learn a lot of things the hard way.
You had no one to turn to at times like this.
You were a communist nation, so it's not like you had many "friends" either.
You were going to die, and no one would be there for you in your final moments.
You came into this world venerable, weak, afraid. And now it looks like you would leave that way too.
You were exhausted, your people had figure it out by now, and started a rebellion.
Communism, while it sounded amazing on paper... Never worked.
You felt your body wrack with sobs and coughs.
Your government had desperately been trying to gain control of its people, but it didn't work.
They demanded anarchy. And your already weak body from the war with isis had made you a weak, and easy target.
You just wished you could start over, begin a new.
But you couldn't. Your sobs turned into loud coughing now.
If you had only two days to live, what would you do with it?
It was a stupid question, but it was one she had been forced to answer now.
Her chest felt like it was burning, and yet on the outside she was a shivering mess.
Her eyes felt dry and misted over, slowly becoming more blurry.
I just wish I had someone with me now...
You sniffled, going back to when times were happier.
Training with Prussia as a kid, being a pirate, staying at Russia's house for a while...
Your whole life flashed before your eyes, yet one memory stood above them all...
You sighed, walking up the stairs to yet another world meeting, your bones aches from the recent bombings in one of your cities, and you'd rather not talk about that right now. As soon as you entered the room you were flooded with questions. People who would normally never speak to you came up and talked to you, especially France and America.
Even though these were countries with opposite governments to you, they still gave you words of sympathy. Some even complimented you on your strength and dedication. Little things that made you smile, or your heart flutter.
Maybe they really do care about me...
Or the meeting after your boss had informed you about the situation, everyone acted normal around you, except for one albino in particular... Who actually decided to come to the meetings for once.
"Hey (Name)!" I turned around slightly surprised to see Julchen, her red eyes were happy and full of energy as usual.
"Oh, hey..." I greeted softly, smiling.
She studied me closely, my tired eyes, the way I slumped more then usual. "You don't look so good... Is something wrong with your country frau?" She questioned, walking with me down the hallway, towards the meeting room.
There's no point in lying to her...
I thought, sighing softly.
And if anyone could help me right now... It'd be her.
"Yes actually..." I answered, my throat felt dry and scratchy.
Julchen stopped for a moment, leaving me to walk in front of her for a few paces, before turning back, realizing she was no longer walking with me.
"D-don't tell me..." She said, looking you over. This must be all too familiar to her, I realized.
I swallowed my pride, nodding softly.
"Yes..."
"Nein, I can't let this happen! I'll get west to-"
"Don't... Just... Please. My boss has already made her decision." I mentally begged her to stop, the headache from before returning.
She was the closest thing I could call for a "friend" however. She deserved to know.
"And what about your decision!? You don't have to end like this! Are you really going to let those... Arseholes take control of your land!?"
She was talking about Isis. I was one of the bordering countries, since our citizens found out about the corruption, they had decided it'd be a jolly good time to up their attacks on my country.
I stared at the ground, I wouldn't cry now... I couldn't...
"My people are angry Preußen..." I explained softly, her eyes widened at the use of the german word.
"They wish for freedom... Something I simply cannot give them..." I could feel myself close to crying, Prussia shook her head.
"You can! You just need to stay strong! I'll get West to help you! S-she'll be able to fix you!"
I sighed, "I don't wish to be fixed Julchen."
"You're a coward." She hissed, "you wish for isis to win?!"
I swallowed, I didn't want them to win... But what choice did I have?...
"My people wish for them to win... So I have to follow their will. If they want my land to become part of that tyranny..." I sniffed, rubbing my eyes with my sleeve. "Then I have to listen to them! To my boss!"
Prussia sighed, "you were so strong long ago... It's strange I could ever consider you a friend." She said, shouldering past you.
"You fucking coward." You could feel her icey red glare, eyes as hot as fire, yet gaze as cold as ice follow you for a brief moment before she stalked past.
Even though she was behind me now, I could see the glimmer of tears in her eyes as well. I now truly was alone.
You sniffed, wishing you could just start over. But you couldn't.
You could feel your government collapsing, but who were you kidding... What government did you have? It was corrupted from the start... Half of the people in your system had left, fled at the threat of isis, and the civil war that was just beginning.
Please, if there is a god in this horrible world, let it be so that a new country be born, one that will know better, and do better then I have done...
Your body became numb, your body starting to crumble away.
First your fingers and toes
Then your hips, your torso and shoulders.
"Goodbye..." You mumbled, closing your eyes as you melted away into ash.
((God, this is a horrible story... ARE YOU READY TO BE HAPPY NOW??! Cause here comes the epilogue!))
--epilogue--
A wise man once said that everyone deserved a second chance. Life is precious, and should never be waisted...
50 long years have passed since (Name)'s death, and the world is still feeling the scars.
But, their not sad scars. Isis has finally been defeated, and Syria was finally coming back from the war.
The country sighed, walking through the reconstruction of his country, people were starting to come back now, and several countries were helping to rebuild the nation.
He walked up the hill, looking over the lands where the country of (c/n) once stood, Syria had been offered the land after the war, but he believed that it should be left alone for now. A monument to the scars the war caused.
However, there was something strange that had occurred...
A large flower sprouted in the middle of the ruins, it's petals just beginning to spread open.
"What's this flower doing here?..." He wondered, walking over to it. The petals had spread open now, to reveal a young girl, dressed in a kind of white gown.
"Hello sir, do you know what I am?"
