True Love? {Anna x Fem Reader}
A/N
Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't write about Disney characters.
1) I wouldn't like to ruin Disney's reputation with little children, because of my twisted desires. Hey! I'm human, I have my wants and needs.
2) I don't watch a lot of Disney movies in general, but with this whole pandemic, and me having access to Disney+. I've been watching a lot more Disney movies lately.
3) And, writing Disney characters isn't really my thing. I prefer writing anime, video games or comics.
Those are just examples. The real reason is I've started to realize how gay I truly am. My twin brother hates Frozen with all his heart's content, I watched the second one; thought it was pretty good.
But, the same thought came running though my brain though most of the Disney movies that involve a princess.
Was that princess always pretty?
I re-watched the first Frozen again. Same thought ran though my mind. Was Anna always this cute? Was Elsa always this pretty bombshell?
My point being, Disney girls are opening up new gay gates that I didn't know existed. And frequently, I don't mind.

"Wait, wait. You're in love with him, even though you just met him?" This wasn't making any sense, love at first sight? You didn't think people actually believe that, right?
Anna sighed dreamily, slumping herself against the stand. Can this girl even stand? "Ah, yes. It's in fact true love! We have so much a like! He likes sandwiches, I like sandwiches. He likes chocolate and I like chocolate!"
You hum, the tone coming off as boring and uninterested. You love this girl and want to hear all about her life, but you didn't think Anna was this love hungry.
I mean, kinda makes sense. Sister shut her out, she hates being alone or feeling rejected or neglected. Her whole life...she's been alone.
"What's his name?" You breathe out, you at least need to know what his name is or what he looks like if she wants your blessings.
"Hans Westergaard! Oh! Did I tell you he has twelve older brothers?!" You choked on...nothing, just the air. Him?! No! Why him?!
"Wait! Fair, slender. I'll give to him he's got looks. Auburn hair, green eyes and sideburns?!" The strawberry blonde looked taken aback.
"Yeah, him. Why? You know him?" You slouch in your seat, you hate your life already. "You're engage? Break it off with that...man." Disgust coated your tone.
Her eyes widened, a small gasp leaving her lips. "No! Why?! It's true love!" You sigh, again. Pinching your nose bridge to keep some sense of reasoning in you.
"Anna, never trust a man with twelve older brothers. You don't even know if half of them are related to him." You stand up off your seat, wondering where you put your jacket or winter cloak?
But, the princess wasn't done with this conversation. She grabbed you by the sleeve and harshly pulled you back into place. You stare at a very angry looking princess.
"You sound very judgmental, (Y/N). He's a good guy, you just have to meet him for yourself." Her optimism is coming back, the bright smile you're all too familiar with.
Are you acting out of jealous? Maybe. Are you acting out of concern? Yes. Are you protecting her from men that will take advantage of her, all because she trusts strangers a little too easily? Definitely.
And this Prince Hans doesn't feel or sound trustworthy. "Feisty, look. I'm not being judgmental. He doesn't sound like a very loyal person. I've met dudes like him before, back when I was an ice harvester. Men that have lots of siblings and suffer abuse from those siblings and being neglected by one of the parents."
You breathe a breath of realization, Anna isn't going to listen to you. She's stubborn, she thinks she's found true love and is going to see the end of this.
"Look, you're not going to listen to me. But, just keep in mind that this man probably had suffered abuse from his brothers. Father never noticed him, and he hates his family. I bet you a reindeer that he's a cold, sadistic, apathetic sociopath!"
Princess frowns her brows, clearly mad at your choice of words. She turns on her heels, and walks towards the door. Not giving you a second look.
"Anna. A wise man once said, that only fools rush in. Don't be that fool, please..." You let your voice fade out, begging the girl to just stop and think about her decisions for once.
She stopped, hand reaching for the doorknob. But, she stopped. To finally give you one last look, she smiles; the smile that made you realize you're deeply over heels for her.
"Thank you (Y/N). I-I...just need some time alone, tell your uncle I said hi." The door creaks, and her figure walks though entrance. The wooden door shutting behind her body.
You fall back into the chair, hands running though your hair, trying to get a grip of yourself. She's gone, she's finally out of your grasp. You already thought she was out of your league, but now; she's truly out of your hands.
Another door squeaks. A low sigh is heard from the side. "Youth love? Don't you think, kid? Why didn't you tell her?" You gritted your teeth, each one grinding against each other.
"I can't! She's engaged to some abusive, manipulative fuck!" You didn't mean to yell, you just couldn't help it.
You're mad, you're sad. You're grieving, your best friend is so sheltered; that she can't even see though a man's disguise.
Your uncle softens his face, despite his face being rough and tough. His eyes were the softest, for emotions. His hands continue to rub against the towel, before putting the hand on your shoulder.
"Kid...I understand. It's hard, you don't want to lose what you have with her. Just don't want to risk it, even if it means your true happiness is slipping." You feel your face scrunch more as you gulp down a sob.
"I-I love her...I don't know what to do. I...just don't want to be a jerk and I want to be there for her. But, she truly doesn't know love, cause I've been there by her side for her whole life!"
You give up. You give up on this tough front and cry, you let out the most depressed, miserable sob. Your uncle winces, hand caressing your shoulder tenderly.
"It's okay. Just gotta' deal with it healthy, it's not nice for grief to manifest in an negative way."
All you could do was nod, still sniffing. You just wanted to bury yourself in a twenty-feet drop of snow.

The shop's been quiet lately, usually when the winter season hits, the store is busy with customers after customers.
You groan as you move things over to make room. Your uncle's in the back, cutting ice from the frozen lake in the back of the shop.
You keep grumbling on how your day has been and you wish something not so predictable happens; again. The bell rings, signaling someone has arrived.
You huff a breathe of anger, before forcing a polite look on your face. You turn, stuffing your hands in your trousers. "Hello. Welcome to the shop, what can I get you?"
A nervous chuckle comes from the open door, slightly creaked open just enough to peak in. You raise a brow, you did want something different, just wasn't expecting what's happening in front of your face.
A head full of strawberry blonde hair pops in, making you jump when the person fully walks in. Anna?! The hell she doing here? Thought she was in hetero-paradise?
You feel your body tense, muscles stiffening under her gaze. Body temperature heating up, old habits never change.
"Hi..." She sounds quiet, why? You two were practically connected to the hip. She sounds so uncomfortable, it makes your heart tighten in pain. She isn't comfortable around me?
Her body leans against the door, stare drawn downwards towards her boots. She lightly rocks off the heels, still avoiding your eyes. You tilt your head to the side, confusion clear on your face.
"What's wrong, you good?" You know this feeling, that face, the body language. It was the same aura she gave off when her sister shut her out, she ran to you. Balling all her emotions onto your shoulder, you sat there, stroking her hair with care.
It was in those moments, the moments when she was vulnerable. That you finally opened your eyes, you thought it was just a girl admiring another girl. But, that theory slowly started to become just an excuse.
You love this girl, you love her so much you'll risk your life for anything. You could drop the world to her feet, and you still don't think it'll be enough for Anna.
She looks around, still nervous. "Is your uncle on shift?" You take a look towards the back door to the outside world, still shut close and tight.
"Not at the moment, he's outside cutting ice. Why? Need him for something? If you want the original amount of ice, I can tell him to start cutting you some-"
"No!"
You shut up, staring at the girl who starts to tremble. You flinch, a small gasp of some sort slipping out. "Are you cold? Shit, maybe I should of left the fire going."
You move out from the counter, moving towards the fire with swift motion. As you go to grab more fire wood, you run pass the princess who grabs your arm before you move too far to reach.
You come to a halt, feeling like a klutz; you don't know how to comfort her. "An-" You're cut off again being pulled into a warm, tight, secure hug.
Guess the Lord heard your complains. You stay still, hearing the girl in your grip sniffling against your chest.
"Y-You were r-right..." She sniffles out, you raise a brow. Right about what? To wear appropriate clothes for the winter season? That she shouldn't be riding bikes indoors?
You softly place your hands on her shoulders, pushing her back gently. She rubs her face, trying to stop the tears from falling.
You take a quick glance around your surroundings, doing the same outside before flipping the sign to 'close'. You make the crying girl sit by the fireplace, making a quick stop to grab chocolate.
You sit across her, placing chocolate and hot coco in front of her; you didn't forget to add extra marshmallows.
You clear your throat, sitting upright. "Alright. Who do I got to beat up?What do you mean 'I was right'? Please fill in the blanks, the light isn't flicking."
She lets out a breathy giggle, stopping her sobs but still sniffing. "So, I told you about Hans?" You squint your eyes at his name, that man should never be put in your line of sight.
"Mmm" You hum, nodding for her to continue. "W-well...you were right. All he wanted from me was the throne, he didn't truly love me. He made me think he was the one."
She throws her head into her hands, becoming a sobbing mess again. You huff, really annoyed at this situation. You pull her slouching silhouette into your lap, cradling her as if she was cold.
"Eat. The chocolate will melt." You hand her a piece of chocolate, she takes it with trembling fingers and beings to nimble on the dessert.
"Well...how do I start this? I told you to be careful but you don't listen, which I understand why. But, that's what you get for trusting and marrying a man you just met."
You feel Anna's body tense more, scrunching up as to make herself small and not noticeable. You sigh, giving comforting strokes though her braided hair.
"...I'm trying not to sound like a insensitive asshole, cause I'm not. But, I really care about your choices. You can't call someone your one if you've just met them, you can't call it true love if you haven't establish a bond yet with this person."
You pause, thinking of your words carefully. "If you really want true happiness, true love? You'd wait it out, you'd wait to meet that perfect someone. To create and develop a bond, one that grows deeper as the relationship grows."
You feel the princess's body grow relaxed, body tissue and muscles loosen it's tension in it's nerves. At least she knows you're not mad at her, just concerned for her well being.
"There's more fish in the sea, you'll find him someday." You push a strand of lose hair behind her ear and smile, the one that always made her feel better.
"Don't swim against the current, follow it. Just go with the flow." You make a weird hand gesture, making Anna giggle more.
"Now," You fix your posture, slouching to feel more comfortable. "Eat and drink your chocolate. It's getting cold and melting, it's the latest batch the townsfolk made."
The sound of slurping, gulping, and chewing filled the room. The wood crackling as the fire burned it slowly, you stare at the heat source, smiling to yourself.
"(Y/N)?" You hum at the sound of your name being called, knowing it's the redhead in your arms.
"Thank you...for being there when I needed someone the most." You feel the corners of your lips twitch into a wider smile, feeling your heart beat against your rib cage faster.
"Yeah, your welcome. It's my job, without me. You'd still be in a abusive relationship."
