MISSY POV

I stood leaning agenst the tree with Namu- oh um sorry kakashi as we waited for the rest of the group to show up.

I was holding Kimi on my back as she fell asleep not to long ago and we needed to get moving as soon as the twins show up.

Just then the two bursts through the brush and stood with us . "Speak if the Devils " I mumbled before addressing the group."ok now I'll give you a quick run down on things. We are leaving this place behind and going to the land of fire in hopes a a better life"

A colective gasp went through the group. Finaly one of the older boys spoke up " on who's athoroty? You know they don't just let us pass through the borders like that "

"Well that would be Namu " I said looking at the currently transformed kakashi.

"What are you talking about .. what's the new kid got to do with anything"

" kakashi if you would please properly introduce yourself so we can get going."

He shrugged " sure why not "

'Poof' once again right in my face as I coughed and blew the smoke away from me

"what the heck who are you"

"cooool!"

and a very angry " WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY NAMI-CHAN" could be heard

"alright settle down " namu-err kakashi said motioning with his hands for us to settle down as a closed eyed smile came across his face "let me explain, my real name is Kakashi and I am a high ranking ninja from the land of fires hidden leaf village. my Hokage sent me here to gather intell on the hidden mist, but long the way we discovered all of you and the hokage has agreed to let you stay in the land of fire as we find you all homes. " a curiosity ran through the group "i had to stay in hiding and to do so I created Namu, though im not sure how I got that name" he murmured to himself "untell I could find a way to get you all out without being noticed. your friend missy here found out my identity and started asking questions. together we came up with a way to get you out of there"

I chocked "WHO came up with the plan?" I glared at him causing him a few nervous chuckles

"ya as I was saying Missy came up with a way to get you all out of there" I nodded approving the change in statement "so we had you all go about your normal day and continue your pickpocketing endeavors as to not rise suspicion and just had you meet up here instead of at the hideout. now we got to get moving.. we are wasting time just standing here"

shuffling feet and hesitant murmurs were all he got in responce

"can we trust this guy?"

"i mean it could be a trap, oh I hope not"

"hes already tricked us once"

thankfully Miko decided to help his case "well I trust you Nami-chan, even if your not nami-chan anymore"

his brother added on " ya and even so its still the best chance we have of getting out of here"

that did little to boost the others confidence . so I decided to put in my opinion

I stepped forward and as nonchalantly as I could " I hear the land of fires got good food , we can always just raid them and go camping if it doesn't wok out"

they all looked at each other before all twelve let out a sort of battle cry "ONWARD TO THE LAND OF FIRE"

i laughed as kakashi sweatdroped at the swarm of children now marching in the wrong direction.

*time skip *

KAKASHI POV

this is nothing like I expected. we have been marching for almost a week and we should get to the gates here by lunch tomorrow.

I anticipated being slowed down, but they haven't held us up very long. I also expected moaning and groaning about tired feet and empty stomachs. these kids really seem to know how to take care of themselves, easily hunting down or scavenging up food , and when the younger three would get tired (kimi included) the older ones would carry them through the forest.

I finaly stopped the small caravan of children behind me " ok we will camp her for the night, we should reach the village here early tomorrow"

cheers could be heard throughout the forest . "FINNALY good food awaits" I sweartdroped

'seriously... THATS whats been motivating them this whole time.'

to keep myself busy I went and started a fire soo we could cook up a rabbit Genna found earlier.

"Hokage-sama why did you leave me to babysit isn't this more suited for iruka" I sighed and pulled out my favorite book from my ninja pouch and began to read it.

MISSY POV

we truck through the last stretch of forest. I didn't have the hart to wake up little kimi soo im just carrying her there.. shes soo small.. way to small for even a 4 year old.. hum maybe this new place will help her get back into the average health parameters.

as we approached what I saw was amazing . I jostled kimi a bit with my shoulders "hey littleone you've got to see this " I heard her groan but pick her head up.. kimi never was a morning person

we all stopped to take in the scene.. in front of us stood a large gate and behind it a lively city out looking for lunch. but what shocked me was that. just outside the gates waiting for us were at least 10 ninja, judging from the headbands, about 5 nurses and a old man in a funny looking hat and matching robe, I you can call it a robe.

"well," kakashi spoke up over our aww "looks like they've been expecting us come on lets get you all introduced" we all walked forward after him I let myself fall into the middle of the group as to not draw too much attention to myself.

when we got there I heard some o the other ninja teasing kakashi. "well I never thought i'd see the day when THE kakashi Hakate came parading into the village leading a army of children"

"ya your right iruka, im surprised you didn't take the job instead IRUKA " kakashi shot back "and to be honest there only hear because I promised them food"

two guys sitting behind what looked like a table to the side of the gate fell over laughing.

it didn't take long for them to get organized and start taking staments from each of us. I don't see why they need it but the others were happy to oblige, seeming to enjoy telling there lifes story. kimi was having the most un as every other word she said she would get cooed over by the nearest nurse but I think Miko was a close second.

"and we were all like WOOSH, and Kiaza was all POW and we ran to the forest to meet up with Missy and then nami-chan, oh oops I mean kakashi-san was all like POOF, and everyone went WOOOW and that's not even the best part......" well you get the point as to what Miko was doing. with hand gestures and all. the poor guy almost got smacked in the face

kaiza just sat there and answered questions or corrected his brother on anything he got wrong.

I sat in the shade of a large tree a we were all now gathered at the park I haven't been addressed yet and so I just sat there watching all these different versions of the story. when I heard kakashi walk up beside me.

"soo Missy this is were you were, has anyone talked to you yet?" he questioned never looking up from hi book

"nope, im just hanging back and watching the show. its more entertaining than I thought. and the food it GREAT " it was true turns out the hokage had set up a picnic like buffet or us " and plus there getting the story in sooo many different ways why do they need mine"

his eyebrow raised "you just don't trust us enough to talk to any of the ninja right?"

"nail on the head" I answered with a shrug, kakashi Is one thing but the others.. well lets say there are adults here WAY to many adults and that fact alone drove me into a corner.

I can deal with three or four low rank thugs but we are in a village FULL o high rank ninja. who knows what they could do to me and the others.

I saw kakashi walk over to the old man in the red hat, whom I assume is the hokage kakashi talks about. they chat for a bit before the old guy comes walking my way, and here we go again

I felt his shadow loom over me. not threateningly but you could tell the authority this man held. you can feel how respected he is "hello young one, kakashi informs me that you wont talk to the ninja taking statements. you are Missy correct?"

I figured I may as well be nice "ya you got it correct, the others call me Missy."

I thought I heard him mumble " the others call you , so it not actually your name hu?" but I ignored it keeping my head down out of sight "may I ask why your so reluctant "

"sure you just did " he chuckled "i just haven't had to many good experiences with adults in my life time so forgive me if I don't trust them" I kept my head down and my body in the shade so he couldn't get a very good look at me

these people expect me to be like all the other kids. trusting and hungry , well I am hungry but that's about it, and if they see my scars it will be a bit starting.. there ninja the last thing you want to do is startle them. im not gonna risk doing anything to change there opinion .

the old man hummed thoughtfully noting my position in the shadows. "not very good experiences hu? well I sorry I cant do anything to change the past but who knows you may like it here in the leaf. you must be hungry why don't you go get you some food and ill find someone to talk to you when you are done.

with that he walked away, keeping an eye on me from a distance 'I know what your doing old man, getting me out of the shadows to see why im hiding. using the temptation of food to lure me out, I wish I could say it wasn't working but *insert stomach growl here*.. oh well what have I got to lose

with that I stood up and cautiously stepped out of the shade to the table of food.

3RD POV

as missy steped out into the sunshine a collective gasp spread though the ninja and nurses. a look of horror past the expression of those who stared long enough to get a good look at her.

its hotter here than in the mist village and so he coat was abandoned back by the tree. revealing her stolen tanktop and he too small pants that limited her motion to an extent.

from the looks of it iruka was about ready to cry. though her cloths fit better than most the orphans, her scars drew all the attention. the hokage bowed his head a bit in realizing what he put this girl up to .

Miko was the first to speak up. "hey what'ch all gasping about, its just Missy. we already told you how she usually took the beating for us soo what the problem?" the boy asked confused " is it because she dosent wear shoes"

kaiza spoke next "ya I mean the only thing off bout here today would be the fact shes not wearing her coat, with makes since with this weather."

little Kimi went above and beyond by jumping up and running over to said girl clinging to her leg and smiling up at her "HIII MISSY-CHAN where have you been you just dissapoofed "

missy chuckled "hello kimi, and I was just sitting in the shade. I couldn't have gone too far I did carry you here in the first place" Missy proceeded to grab an apple and a bit of bread and butter before tossing another apple to kimi "here little one eat up, its been a long day "

as she walked back to her shady area she could here the adults

"what happened to that girl?"

"THATS Missy, you said she gets hurt a lot but I didn't think..."

and a hushed hokage speaking "kakashi why didn't you mention this in your reports "

"must have slipped my mind, I had other things to worry about after all" came his closed eyed smile

this response caused Missy to smirk an bit, getting a reaction of a few more horrified and slightly scared adults

I told you so kakashi
