This has a bit of the side of Yuko that she wasn't able to share or express when she had to take care of all the other orphans

Lunch was mostly quite. As long as you ignore choji's munching. I looked over and saw a large man with red hair looking up at the roof before walking inside. (A/N. No one freak out its just choji's dad)

So me being me I went and hid myself in a corner just behind the boys . That way I could see but wasn't too obvious. Though I guessing he was most likely a ninja so this wouldn't do much yet it was the only thing I could do..

I don't think I would care much normally. . However even from the roof you could tell he was a BIG guy.. bigger than Pa and that was hard to do. Who know what would happen if he didn't like me . I've had people smaller than him add to my scar collection and this man was big enough to have eaten 3 of them if not 4.

"Ahh there you are choji. I had a feeling I'd find you up here" the large man's voice strong yet comferting. "Hello shikamaru" he inclined his head twards the napping boy,who returned it with a lazy wave

"Hello Choza-san " he managed to mutter out before resuming his relaxed position.

"Hey Pa what are you doing here " ( in case you didn't notace from the anime/ Manga choji has almost always calls his father Pa.)

Looks like I'm not the only one who calls their father Pa.. good one less thing to be labeled as different for.

"I got home early. Figured I'd spend some time with you before I get called out again. I'll probably have to spend the next day or too in the answering questions about my last mission so ill be spending some time at T & I talking with Ibiki. Just brought him a new Rouge to .. well to do his job" he chuckled a bit

"He knows pa?" I mumbled under my breath. Choji and shika didn't hear me but the train ears of a ninja did.

"Well who is this choji.. normally it's just the two of you."he chuckled "making a new friend I see"

"Oh ya Pa this is Yuko she's new and it's her first day of school. Actually she's new to the village." Choji said turning to me in my shaded corner before looking back at his dad "most of the kids kept making fun of her so she came up here with us to get away from it. .. plus she didn't have a lunch .. I mean I couldn't just let her NOT eat ." Choji over exaggerated with hand gestures as if it where the worst thing that could happen.

Choza laughed "yes that would be quite the tragedy wouldn't it" he said good natured ly. "Come on out of that corner would you.. let have a look at you"

Though part of me said to trust him.. that he seemed nice.. years of my life stated otherwise. So I shook my head firmly No.

"Well what's wrong?" Thankfully choji answered for me.

"You see she's a bit self conscious around people she doesn't know.. she usually try to hide that fact.. like when she introduced herself to the class she seemed perfectly comfedent with herself.. but she dosent seem to like the attention."

"The attention only ever gets me the name freak. And ruins everything labeling me as different " the words escaped me before I could swallow them.

"Well you never know how people will react tell you let them." He said stated sagely "everyone reacts in there own way... may I at least ask your name"

Choji had already said it but I figured he wanted to hear it from me. "My name is Yuko..."

"No last name?"

" I have one I'm just wondering if my pa has told anyone about me yet"

"Well from what you said earlier I know the guy.. who is your Pa?"

I shifted a bit in my corner. "Ya ... my pa.. my Pa is Ibiki... my name is Yuko Morino " I stated more comfedently at the end sitting up strater obviously proud of my reatation to said man.

To say he was shocked was an understatement. Of course he quickly cover it up with a smile. "Your father is a good man. And an old friend of mine, though I admit he can be a bit ... intence most of the time. "

" got that right " I laughed a bit he's trying to get me comfortable around him.. though I can't say that it's NOT working.. I just can't help it he has the same friendly aura as choji.. "he's no different at home I can tell you that".

He smiled and I squirmed a bit. Unused to the positive attention. This is just like that one guy at the flower shop.. with Inos dad.

"Come on" he patted the spot in front of him "its warmer in the sunshine"

I hesitated "ya Yu-chan it's fine, it's just Pa .. he's nice I promise"

Now I don't know if it was because it was choji , i guess you could call him a friend. . Right?, or if it was the new nickname... Yu-chan ? But I found myself slowly standing up.

"Ok.. I guess its fine. As long as he nows my Pa I guess I can trust him" I made an excuse so I didn't only have the "take your word for it" reason.. it was more for myself than anything.

And so I found myself sitting in front of this VERY large man.

"Aww I see what you mean by labels." I put my head down a bit "However I doubt those scars are your fault." I nodded and smiled a bit.. probably making me look worse.. but all I got in return was an extra riceball and a friendly conversation between the father and son. Shikamaru enjoyed his nap well he ,not so secretly, eavesdroped.

Lunch was over all too soon and we where on our way back to the academy.

We had to pass through the park, but about halfway in somthing nocked into me. Throwing off my balance and setting me flat on my butt.. an adorable puppy now resided in my lap looking up at me with big inosent eyes giving me a small yip in apritiation for catching him

"HEY AKAMARU. .. akamaru sorry Budd I didn't mean to throw you that far " the Inuzuka boy from class came running after the puppy now laying across my chest. I was still sitting up so he was laying vertically, it didn't look to comfertable but he seemed fine so I could do nothing but stare down at the furry thing laying on top of me.

"Um why would you thow your dog?" I spoke up breaking out of my shocked state.

"Well du.. because he asked me too. He wanted to see if he could fly. Who am I too tell him he's wrong. So instead I just let him figure it out himself"

"We will meet you in class Yuko.. dont be too late " shikamaru said continuing walking

"Ya by Yu'-chan" choji waved before running off.

"Hey arnt you that new kid.. kinda creepy if you ask me" Inuzuka stated harshly completely ignoring shika and choji.

"Yes that's me.. my name is Yuko not new kid alright " I huffed turning my head away a bit. Normally I would have hid or something but.. well I'm already holding the puppy, akamaru I think his name was, so it gave me a bit of a confidence boost..

"Hum.. well I still think your creepy. But I saw you in tai jutsu class and I guess you where pritty good. " he paused at a bark from akamaru "oh ya and the mutt seems to like you too so I guess your cool.. thanks for catching him"

"Y-ya no problem "

Akamaru barked a few times at his partner. "What no I'm not. Your the Mutt not me you stupid dog." Another bark "hey do I look like I have four legs too you.. no so your the dog" again with a yip " WHAT no your the stupid one"

This went on for a while.. let me say it's quite entertaining to watch a boy argue with his dog. It later revield that akamaru was using me as a shield as he would not let go. In the end I ended up walking to class with them listening to them argue untell we got through the door of the classroom right in time for class to start.

The puppy finally detached himself from me and went to his seat with Kiba, as I figured out from the walk here was his name, and I took my seat next to choji in a considerably better mood Than I had before lunch.

FINALLY school was over.. well actually it was about 40 minutes before we got out but you know close enough.

And just my luck I got saved from such boring lectures. My hero? Non other than Pa.

Yes that's right.. Ibiki Moreno came and kick down the classroom door. Disrupting class all together. "HEY BRAT GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE. "

Everyone in class visibly flinched at the sight of the intimidating man

"Ibiki-san, not that I'm not happy for your visit, I would hope you let me know ahead of time.. your scaring the kids"

"Ha sorry iruka but the only kid I need to worry about emotionally hurting is mine... now come on kid we got stuff to do "

I stood up and used my desk as a spring board "COMMING PA!!" As I ran over to him a heard lots of talk

"THATS her father"

"No wonder. That explains alot"

"Why would you call your dad Pa.. "

And last but not least "you know I can see the resemblance "

I swear at my response. Proving my relation to the man... one of Choji's chips dropped from shock and aww

"So what you come get me for"

"Its a special day.. you get to help me teach a few Co-workers of mine some manners... they refused to believe me when I told them about you " he coughed a bit at the last part.."well squirt ready to raise some hell ?" He lifted an eyebrow at me jokingly

"You bet I am Pa" I threw my fist into the air and skipped out of class with my parent. Only just hearing a quick

"arnt you glad I didn't show up with the other parents iruka. . That would be a desaster"

"It already is.. started the day you became a influence to the mind of a young child.. never could picture you as a father " oh iruka you don't know how right you are.
