(3rd Person PoV)

"Ultimate...Duel Tournament?" Kotori asked.

"Why yes. You have all gathered together to duel each other," the voice said.

"But why?" Ruri asked.

"The reason...there's no particular reason other than to test your strength," the voice replied.

"That's not a reason," Battle Max crossed his arms.

"Yeah, we all have busy lives so we don't have time to test our strength against other duelists. We can opt out of this tournament right?" Roa asked.

"Nope! You can only leave when there is one winner," the voice explained.

"Then...what happens to the losers?" Serenity asked.

"..." the voice was eerily quiet.

"Hey, respond. What happens if we lose?" Edo asked.

"Well we'll figure it out on the way there. You will be provided with the necessities that you need such as food, water, someplace to sleep, dueling manuals if you need a refresh on dueling, you name it!" The voice exclaimed.

Everyone looked at each other, concerned.

"We will start the tournament tomorrow! But before we go, here are the lineups so you can prepare yourselves!" The voice shouted.

"What?" Ruka asked and then a screen flashed in front of them and names appeared on that screen.

I believe there's a total of 70 people here. How did this person managed to kidnap that many of us? Shark wondered, counting off the number of people on the screen.

The tournament starts tomorrow but I have a bad feeling about this, Blue Maiden thought.

"So what do you want us to do now?" Romin asked.

"Great question! You may all mingle now. Go and eat or sleep. Prepare yourself for whoever is going tomorrow. Good luck...you'll need it," the voice said, a bit of eeriness at the end of their voice.

The platform then smoothed out and different exits of the stadium appeared.

The teams decided to stick with whoever is familiar to them aka each other.

They arrived at a huge cafeteria and food was already there, prepared.

Some of the stomachs of the duelists began to growl and they, hesitantly, went to grab some food.

However, three certain duelists stayed behind in the hallway.

"If this was in other circumstances, I would be glad to see you all again," Judai said.

"Agreed but that isn't the case sadly," Yusei sighed and held onto his arm where the head of the Crimson Dragon mark lay.

"So 70 duelists from different timelines or dimensions maybe, were kidnapped and thrown into this tournament that we didn't agree to enter," Yugi started off.

"That's something I'm unfortunately familiar with," Yusei murmured before sighing, "I don't think I need to tell you that everyone here is in danger."

"Yeah. The voice didn't even tell us what happens when a duelist loses! Something tells me that it'll be real bad," Judai said, waving his arms around.

"We need to vigilant. Discuss possibilities with your team and whenever we can, also discuss with each other. We can't afford to relax," Yugi stated and the two of them nodded.

"Depending on how long the duels end up, I believe Yusei and I are going to be dueling tomorrow. I'm up against this Roa guy," Judai told them.

"And I'm up against Misawa. His name sounds familiar but I can't place my finger on it," Yusei stated.

"Oh I know Misawa. He goes or went to Duel Academy with me. He's a tough and calculating duelist, always ready for everything and anything," Judai explained.

"I see. Well, we should head back to our teams before they get worried," Yusei suggested.

"Right," Yugi nodded and the three of them left.

(Later. Yugi's PoV)

I went to the room that was provided to me and entered in.

It was a cozy enough room with a purple bed, cream colored wallpaper and a purple rug in the middle.

There was a big book on the bed and it read, 'Dueling Manual.'

"This is useful in case there's any new way of dueling in other places that we don't know yet," the Pharaoh suggested.

"You're right," I nodded and opened it up.

Some of them I was familiar with like Fusion and Ritual Summoning. I sort of knew what Synchro Summoning is because I saw Yusei do that during our duel with Paradox.

But then I saw a bunch of unfamiliar tactics.

"XYZ summoning...Pendulum Summoning...Link Summoning...Maximum Summoning. Wow, dueling sure has evolved," I noted.

"You're right. Look, there's even new ways of dueling," the Pharaoh pointed to a couple of pages.

"Turbo Duels, Action Duels, Speed Duels and Rush Duels. That's interesting...too bad this isn't the best situation to be fascinated by all of this," I sighed.

"True, we must figure out a way to get everyone out of here. Whatever this voice is going to do, we must stop them, whoever they are," Yami said.

"Thank you for the reassurance. I needed that," I told him and he smiled.

We all must get out of here, even if we're all strangers to each other! I thought.
