X. Initiantion
"Hey mom. I'm back," Anya called out.
"Oh welcome back honey, I made dinner," Anya's mom called from the dinning room table.
"Oooo! What did you make?" Anya said smelling the food and slowly jogging in. She found her mother sitting with a dish of homemade Mac and Cheese.
"Mac and Cheese, one of your favorites," Ms Fante said as Anya eyed up the dish. Anya grabbed an extra plate and began filling her dish with Mac and Cheese and some Broccoli and a buttery sweet bun.
"What's the occasion?" Anya asked as she began to dig in.
"Well, you were part of that accident the other day and crime seems to be on the rise," Ms Fante responded, still finishing up her dish.
"Oh yeah, I heard crime rates are going up around the area," Anya told her mother confirming what she'd said," It was on the radio on my ride home."
"Speaking of which Anya," Ms Fante said as her tone harshened a bit," You always told me where you were going."
"Oh," Anya said surprised," That's because Dona didn't tell me where we would meet to hang out."
"Dona?" Ms Fante asked skeptical.
"My friend from work," Anya explained," She was a hostage in the situation and I wanted to make sure she was ok."
"Oh! That Dona," Ms Fante exclaimed finally realizing who Anya was talking about.
"Oh, I'm so glad you two are such good friends. I remember when she was over for dinner, she gave me so many compliments. You'll give her the recipes I owe right?" Ms Fante said, going on her own tangent.
"Yeah, I'll hand them to her tomorrow, I think we're gonna hang out again," Helena told her mother.
"Oh, where are you two heading this time?" Ms. Fante asked Anya. She has to take a moment to think.
"Um... I think we are going to the movies. I'm not sure what we'll see yet," Anya told her mother, trying to laugh it off a bit.
"Oh good, well missy, it's getting late, off to bed," Ms Fante commanded.
"Okay mom, goodnight," Anya told her before pushing her plate out and heading up stairs.
Anya sat on a rock waiting for Blake to show up. She'd been in Hex for at least five minutes. She wanted him to be the first to show her around because he was the only person she knew here.
"Hey," Blake said walking up the little hill. Anya turned to face him and his duel runner.
"So, shall we go?" Anya asked trying to get right down to business.
"Ah, getting to the point. Okay, hop on Anya," Blake responded, letting his engine roar. Anya got up and hopped on. Blake then began zooming towards the large city in the distance.
"Okay, so this will be a short ride but there is one thing I should tell you about," Blake began, as Anya turned to look towards him.
"There's this one guy who I really think you should avoid. He's a higher up in this little organization. He's dangerous and you should avoid him," Blake explained.
"We'll be there soon," Blake informed.
"But wait, what's this guy's name?" Anya asked, trying to get Blake to further explain. He looked as if he was hesitant to respond but then before either of them knew it. Blake and Anya were at the gates of Helos City. And the people waiting were armed.
"Halt!" One of soldiers shouted, pulling out a duel disk," Prove you aren't a Ghast!"
"Ummm... I can because I work with you on a daily basis, now let us through," Blake complained.
"Ah, so your a traitor then, bring a Ghast with you!" the solider assumed, throwing around the accusations.
"Umm, she's not a Ghast," Blake tried to say.
"Yeah, your just kinda dumb," Anya threw in.
"Yeah well, I'm calling out main officer!" the man shouted back as he began typing something in on a device.
"Actually, I'm already here," said a familiar voice from behind the crowd.
"Ugh, that's him... it's—"
"Hey Ryan!" Anya called out as he made his way to the front of the newly gathered crowd.
"Sup Anya," Ryan responded," I didn't know you were able to travel to Hex."
"Yeah, it kinda happened a bit ago," Anya responded.
"Oh neat come on in!" Ryan exclaimed guiding her. Anya turned back around as she saw Blake wasn't coming.
"Okay, so first thing is first, you've gotta be initiated," Ryan explained as they walked through the wall, which doubled as an HQ of sorts.
"Initiated for what?" Anya asked skeptically.
"Well, you can't just be in Helos City, we've gotta make sure you can help work before allowing you to all of its splendor. At least that's what I've been told," Ryan admitted," I can't tell you anything until after.
"Umm... that's weird but okay," Anya responded as they kept walking. The two came upon a big white door.
"Well, go on in. I'll see you after," Ryan said. Anya walked through the door and found herself in a pure white room. She looked around to see a tall man standing in front of her.
"It's time to duel," the man said," My name is Quil. And I will be the judge of how well you can do in this agency."
