Ellá Bremule was a French inspired restaurant built next to a man-made Rivera, otherwise known as a canal but rules stated it to be called a Rivera. The walls were painted like clouds in the night sky as lights designed like stars lit the establishment. Anya stood at the front in a tight black suit, doing her job as a waitress. A couple walked in and Anya got ready to seat them.
"Hello," Anya said in a more adult tone," How many tonight?"
"Oh it's just the two of us," the man responded, as the girl held onto him.
"Ok then," Anya said, giving a gesture for them to follow her. She lead them to a couples table by the window. She lit the candle in between them and left them be.
"Hey Anya!" A woman called walking up behind her.
"Oh Dona. Is it my break yet?" Anya asked her friend.
"Is that really all you think about?" Dona asked her.
"Yeah, even a hard worker like me can somehow be lazy," Anya replied sarcastically.
"Haha," Dona laughed," Yeah you hard working 27 year old."
"Shhhhh, nobody's supposed to know my identity is fake," Anya whispered to Dona.
"I know but I can't help but mess with you about it. Anyways, it's your break so you were right," Dona told her, still chuckling.
"Thanks Dona," Anya said sincerely.
"No prob, now go take a break!" Dona told Anya as she walked off towards the break room. She plopped down on a little couch and took off her little sailor hat.
"Ugh! I've seriously gotta get a raise for this!" Anya complained to herself, seeing nobody else in the break room. "Seriously, at least tips are good here," Anya said, sighing. She then heard a thud from the entrance. Anya quickly got up and dashed out of the break room. She got to the front of the restaurant to see two men with guns in hand.
"Where's the money?!" the larger of the two said, pushing the gun up against a woman's head. Anya saw it was Dona at gun point. Fortunately, Anya saw the emergency case and broke it quietly. She pulled out an Assault Riffle. She pointed it at them and spoke up.
"Hands up!" Anya called out, ready to shoot at first moment's notice. The other man turned to point his gun at her.
"Sorry girly, but you've seem to forgot to do your math, theirs two of us but one of you," the man pointing the gun at her told her.
"Ah shoot," Anya thought. She hadn't thought this through. She hoped somebody called the authorities and the standoff would last.
"Well unfortunately you don't need math when dealing with guns," a masculine voice spoke, coming from the other side of the robbers. Anya looked past them to see a man with black hair wearing a drama mask. He was in a classy white suit and had a lone rose in his pocket.
"I believe this is where we begin the negotiations men, and my fair maiden," the masked guy said, nodding towards Anya with the last statement.
"I propose a duel then," the man spoke up, seeing nobody else was talking," If you win, you'll be able to get the money from the cashier, but if I win, you'll have to leave. But if the authorities get here then it's a forfeit."
"Why should a we accept?" The bigger guy asked.
"Because it's the best offer you'll get now. We can always wait here and you have no chance as the authorities drag you away. I'd rather not have any casualties," the masked man explained.
"Girl, keep the gun pointed at them in case the try anything," the masked dude spoke, activating his duel disk.
"Fine then. Two on one!" the smaller guy said confidently smiling.
"I'll still have more life points though," the masked guy warned.
"But we have teamwork!" the larger man said, as he and his associate activated their duel disks.
"Okay then, let's start this duel," the masked man said.

"Now what shall I call you two?" the man asked surprising casual for Anya to see.
"The name's Blue and I'll be going first!" Blue yelled," I'll special summon Robber Rat while I have no monsters on my field."

"And I'll special summon my Robber Rat since another Robber Rat was special summoned," the bigger man spoke," I'm also Maroon."
"I now special summon another Robber Rat since another Robber Rat was special summoned. I can activate the spell Polymerization to fuse out 3 Robber Rats into Thieving Rat Hourus!" Blue spoke as the rays combined to form a big rat in thieving gear.

"Now, activate!" Link to the future!" The little man said pointing at the sky," Summoning Conditions are one Fusion Monster. Now I Link Summon Hack Thief Genome!"

"Next I'll activate Monster Reborn and bring back Thieving Rat Hourus!" Blue called out ending his turn.

"I guess you all can call me Phoenix, and it's now my turn!" the masked man said, drawing a card.
"I'll start by summoning Star Child and then activate the spell, Spacial Rend," Pheonix said casually.

"Special Rend allows me to destroy a monster on my field and special summon a monster from my deck that is the same Type as the monster I sacrificed. I special summon Destiny Orb and now special summon Star Child via his effect.

"Destiny Orb's effect is now triggered, special summoning a monster from my hand that's the same level as it or another monster on my field," Phoenix explained, playing another card and adjusting his mask.
"I special summon Shining Aura and also special summon Darklight Aura from my deck via its effect."

"Congrats, you succeed in summoning a bunch of weak monsters," Maroon spoke up.
"You really think I wouldn't have the skill to back up challenging you. I activate the overlay network and use all my monsters to XYZ summon!" Phoenix shouted, as his monsters all became light and fell into a black vortex.
"I XYZ Summon Rank 3 Master Moon!"

"I'll now use one overlay unit to allow Master Moon to gain 1000 Atk, by discarding a card as well," Pheonix said, speaking with confidence.

"Now I'll have Master Moon attack Hack Thief!" Pheonix called out.
"Sorry but because of Hack Thief Genome's effect, you can only attack Fusion Monsters on my field now," Blue responded.
"Well then I'm attacking Thieving Rat Hourus!" Pheonix called as the planetoid figure rammed into the giant rat.

"I can now activate Rank Up Magic: Battle Force to evolve my XYZ Monster further," Pheonix called our, sliding a card into his duel disk," Now come Rank 4 Master Planet!"

"Next, Master Planet will Attack Thief Hacker!" Pheonix called forth.

"I'll activate another Rank Up Magic Battle Force so I can rank up again!" Pheonix yelled," Here comes Rank 5 Master Gas Giant!"

"Using Rank Up Battle Force only allows me to attack monsters so that's end of my turn," Pheonix said shrugging a bit. Anya could see facial expressions through the mask and the man seemed like he was bored.
"Well it's now my turn so say good bye to your big ball!" Maroon said, drawing his card.
"I'll now activate the spell Fool's Gold, allowing me to destroy a card in someone else's hand, and I'll be choosing my good bud Blue's last card," Maroon said, pointing his gun at Blue as indication. Blue discarded the last card in his hand.
"I can now activate the effect of Thief Rider! He's special summoned back to the field and I can add a Polymerization card to my hand," Blue spoke up.
"Fool's Gold now allows me to draw a card!" Maroon said drawing as Phoenix just watched intently.

"Next I'll activate Polymerization to fuse Thief Rider with Scandal Opal to Fusion Summon Dysilver, the Living Treasure," Maroon called out, unleashing his monster onto the field.
"Now I'll summon Escape Driver, and open the circuit! Summoning conditions are at least one Fusion Monster! Link Summon! Link-2 Pyladies Informant!"

"Pyladies effect! Fusion monsters are revived next to his Link Markers. Come back Hourus and Dysilver!" Maroon called out, trying to intimidate Phoenix with a death glare.

Dysilver the Living Treasure (2500 Atk|800 Def) Fusion, Level 7, Earth, Ghost

"Battle Phase with the quick play Tri Attack! All of our monsters can attack together, adding up their attack points!" Maroon shouted activating the card.

(2000 + 2500 +2300 = 6800 Atk)

The three monsters all attacked Master Gas Giant, creating a massive gust of wind. Phoenix stayed standing and didn't flinch, like Blue and Maroon as the attack went through.

Phoenix: 8000 -> 4000

"So you can get attacks through on opponents. I would have never guessed," Phoenix taunted them. It was a large hit and another like it would end the game. Anya clutched the gun tightly, making sure to keep the aim at them. She looked over to Dona and found her trying to mouth something to Anya. Anya couldn't read her lips but Dona lightly pointed, enough for Anya to see the extra gun in Maroon's pocket. Anya decided to stay quiet and prepared for some shooting after the duel.

"Anyways, my monster lives due to its effect and by using an overlay unit," Phoenix spoke as the smoke cleared and they saw his monster still there.

Master Gas Giant (OU 5/4)

"Now I draw!" Phoenix shouted with passion, "I activate Double Burst Rank Up Magic, allowing me to rank up an XYZ monster by two ranks. Come! Rank 7, Master Star!"

"I'll now activate Polarity Star! This spell is now equipped to Master Star, giving it a bonus attack. It's destroyed after the end of this turn though. Master Star attacks Dysilver and Hourus!" Phoenix yelled at the thugs as if they didn't know what they were doing.

Maroon: 4000 -> 2400

"Next comes Master Star's effect, by using an overlay unit, it gets another attack!" Phoenix told the thugs.

Master Star (OU 5/4)

"Master Star will now attack Pyladies," Phoenix stared as his star monster crashed into the computer thing.

Maroon: 2400 -> 1200

"Now if only I could use it more than once per turn. Oh well," Phoenix told himself disappointed. He could hear the sighs of relief from both thugs.
"I'm just yanking your chains! I totally can use this effect more!" Phoenix said laughing a bit.

Master Star (OU 4/2)

"I do believe that's the end," Phoenix said as the giant star crushed into them, ending the duel.

"Now like we promised, you'll wait here for the authorities," Phoenix told them.
"Ugh! You little bastard!" Maroon screamed, whipping out his second gun at Phoenix, only to find a rapier to his chest.
"Awe that's cute, you thought I wouldn't be armed," Phoenix said, looking smug though the mask.

They stood at stand off for a few more moments until authorities eventually arrived and arrested the two men, Anya wandered around the restaurant looking for Phoenix, who disappeared soon afterwards. She ran around and eventually found him in the side alley.
"Thank you for everything tonight," Anya told him as he turned to greet him.
"No problem, but I do need to talk to you about something else," Phoenix told her, a bit solemnly.
"What is it?" Anya asked pleadfully. She watched as the man took off his mask.
"So, what's up?" The guy asked as Anya gasped.

"Blake?!"
