-Last Time on Yugioh! GX-

"But I'm not done here! I sacrifice my Pixie Knight to bring forth another one of my favorites!"

Pixie Knight disappeared through a magical circle that appeared in front of her. A powerful aura filled the arena. But it wasn't as strong as the Dark Magician's.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Allow me to introduce to you the Dark Magician Girl!"

-Present-

Turn 7

Mokuba: 3000
Yuna: 3800

When the cute (and very popular) Magician appeared on the field with a cute wink, the whole male population of the Academy went crazy. Even Syrus, while initially worried, fainted on the spot! Jaden tried to catch his best friend, but utterly failed. 

"Sy! Sy! Speak to me!" cried Jaden, shaking his unconscious best friend.

Now that he thinks about it, most of the male population actually fainted when Dark Magician Girl appeared on the field. 

Yuna saw this and sweatdropped. 

"I-I didn't expect this...." she stuttered while Dark Magician Girl floated around the girl with a teasing smile on her face, giggling happily.

"Well it is nice to see so many of my fans!" giggled the Duel Monster. 

"Well, you are pretty popular," muttered Yuna, "though, it is time to get back to business."

The Spellcaster nodded and then turned to Scarred Warrior, who nodded in return. 

"Alright, Scarred Warrior attack Hypnocorn!" 

The Warrior Type Monster dashed across the field and sliced the Beast Type Monster, destroying it and sending it to the Graveyard.

Mokuba: 3000 - 600 = 2400

"Now, Dark Magician Girl, attack Mokuba directly, Dark Burning Attack!" 

With a wink, the blonde magician twirled her staff and sent a pink energy ball straight at Mokuba, who grunted at the slight pain.

Mokuba: 2400 - 2000 = 400

"I'll end my turn with two face down." finished Yuna, placing two cards in her Spell and Trap Zone.

Turn 8

Mokuba: 400
Yuna: 3800

Mokuba draws a card, slightly grinning, "I play Giant Rat in Defense Mode, and place two cards facedown."

"And since Closed Forest is still on the field, he gains 200 Attack Points, since there are two monsters in my Graveyard."

Giant Rat: ATK: 1400 + 200 = 1600

"Then I'll end this with two facedowns." 

Turn 9

"Not bad, I draw!" said the blackette, drawing a card. "Dark Magician Girl attack!"

With a quick twirl of her staff, Dark Magician Girl destroyed the Beast Type Monster.

"Thanks for that, now my Rat's Special Ability activates!" said Mokuba. "Now that he's destroyed, I get to Special Summon one Earth Monster with 1500 Attack Points or less from my deck. And I choose Yellow Gadget!" 

"In addition to that, he's got his Special Ability, I can bring Green Gadget to my hand!"

'Gadgets huh,' thought Yuna, feeling nostalgic. 'Just like that battle...between Yugi and Atem...'

"Scarred Warrior attack his Yellow Gadget!" 

"Not so fast, I play one of my face downs, Negate Attack, which ends your Battle Phase!"

Smiling, she ended her turn.

Turn 10

Mokuba: 400
Yuna: 3800

"Alright," he said, drawing a card. "I summon Green Gadget in Attack Mode!"

"And his Special Ability lets me add Red Gadget to my hand!"

'Oh boy...' thought Yuna.

"Now I sacrifice Yellow Gadget to summon Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera in Attack Mode!"

"I also play Mask of Brutality, which raises his Attack Points by 1000!"

AGGC (Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Chimera): ATK: 2300 + 1000 = 3300; DEF: 1300 +1000 = 2300

"Now attack her Scarred Warrior, Chimera with Mechanical Roar!" 

The gears on the Chimera started turning and a mightly roar headed straight for Scarred Warrior!

"And when he's destroyed, you take 700 points of damage!" 

"Sorry to break it to you, Mokuba," interuppted Yuna. "When Scarred Warrior is attacked by a monster, once per turn, he isn't destroyed!" 

"But you still take the damage!" 

While Scarred Warrior isn't destroyed, the roar went past him and hit Yuna head on. She was pushed back by the force of the roar and felt a spark of pain from the streaking roar.

Yuna: 3800 - 1200 = 2600

"You survived for now, but just you wait until next turn." smirked Mokuba, ending his turn. 

Turn 11

Yuna: 2600
Mokuba: 400

"We'll see about that," retorted Yuna, drawing a card. "I play the Spell Card, Monster Reincarnation! 

"By discarding one card from my hand, I can take one monster from my Graveyard and put it in my hand, and I choose Effect Veiler!"

'Can't do anything for now, guess I'll have to end my turn.' thought Yuna. 

Turn 12

"Not doing anything else, huh?" taunted Mokuba, drawing a card. "I'll destroy Mask of Brutality, since I have to pay 1000 Life Points to keep it on the field."

The mask shattered from Chimera's faces, reverting the monster's Attack Points and Defense Points to normal.

AGGC: ATK: 3300 - 1000 = 2300; DEF: 2300 - 1000 = 1300

"First, I summon Red Gadget to the field in Attack Mode!" 

"Then I play Monster Reborn to bring Yellow Gadget back out to the field!"

"Now I tribute all three of my Gadgets and summon Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon!"

When the Dragon appeared, its roar shook the arena, almost throwing those standing up, off balance. 

"Whoa! That's a big monster!" whimpered Syrus, since he and Jaden basically got front row seats.

"No way, THAT'S TOTALLY AWESOME!" yelled Jaden in excitement, jumping up and down. "Trash this thing Yuna!" 

"She won't be able to! Dragon attack Scarred Warrior with Stale Wind!" 

The dragon prepared to attack, but Yuna noticed something.

"Oh and when he inflicts battle damage, you take 400 points of extra damage because of Red Gadget!"

Scarred Warrior got hit again, but because of his effect, he wasn't destroyed, but Yuna still got hit with the attack.

Yuna: 2600 - 900 = 1700 - 400 = 1300

Stumbling to regain her footing, Yuna flinched at the Life Points lost. Why did Kaiba make the duel disks shock you every time they lose Life Points, for the effects?!

"I'll leave it at that for now."

Turn 13

Yuna drew her card, shock in her eyes, it was Kuriboh!

"Woo!" cooed the duel spirit, popping out of his card and floating around her shoulder.

"What?!" Yuna asked as Kuriboh squeaked, pointing at her extra deck slot. "You want me to use the card that Big Bro gave me?" 

The furry monster nodded before disappearing back into the deck. Yuna looked determined and looked at her field.

"Alright, I set a monster in Defense Mode and end my turn!" 

Turn 14

Mokuba: 400
Yuna: 1300

"That's all huh, pathetic!" taunted the 21-year-old again, drawing a card. 

"Nope, but before you get to attack, I'm gonna activate my Trap, Compulsory Evacuation Device!"

"I get to pick one monster on the field and send it back into your hand!" explained Yuna. "And I pick you Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon!" 

Gadjiltron Dragon roared as he disappeared from the field, returning to Mokuba's hand. 

"Fine, then I'll attack with Scarred Warrior with Chimera!" 

Yuna grunted as Scarred Warrior stood tall, albeit wincing at the attack.

Yuna: 1300 - 200 = 1100

"I'll end my turn." 

Turn 15

Mokuba: 400
Yuna: 1100

"Alright, time to end this...I draw!" grunted Yuna, drawing a card, her eyes widened again!

She looked at her Kuriboh card, and he winked at her in return, giving her the signal. Smiling, she prepared to make the move of her life.

"Alright, first I flip the Tuner Monster, Effect Veiler!" 

The little Spellcaster appeared beside Dark Magician Girl, who nodded at her fellow Spellcaster. 

"Next I summon Kuriboh! Come on out pal!" 

The little furball squeaked as he appeared on the field. And if Dark Magician Girl could make the guys faint, then Kuriboh could make the girls faint, as about a third of the female student body either squealed in delight or fainted by the monster's cuteness. 

"So what, you got two weak monsters!" retorted Mokuba. "What difference does that make?!" 

"I think you forgot the word Tuner. I tune Effect Veiler with Kuriboh and Dark Magician Girl!" 

Effect Veiler turned into a single ring while Kuriboh and Dark Magician Girl jumped into the ring and turned into seven stars. 

"Clustering wishes will become a new shining star. Become the path it's light shines upon. Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!!!"

The beautiful dragon gave a mighty roar as it appeared on the field, having the audience stare in awe. Zane looked down, impressed, but wonders what the girl was going to do. It was like watching Kaiba and Yugi duel.

"No matter how many times I've seen that Dragon, it never fails to put me in awe." states Bastian.

"No kidding, that Dragon Yuna has is one of a kind." agreed Alexis. 

Back down by the arena, Jaden and Syrus were glad that they got to see this duel up close. A Chimera, a dragon, and a warrior! Who knows what Yuna was thinking now!

"She's got this in the bag! Go Yuna!" cheered the Fusion duelist.

"Way to play Yuna!" came the voice of their cyan haired friend. 

"Not bad," grinned Mokuba. "But I am busy, are you done yet?" 

Yuna smirked, "Of course not! I'm gonna pull a Jaden..."

She grabbed a card from her hand, and revealed it, shocking the arena and even Mokuba himself.

"...and win! I play the Spell Card, Polymerization!"

"I fuse Stardust Dragon with Scarred Warrior!" 

The audience around them stared in shock as the Synchro Duelist used a Fusion Summoning Card, just like a certain Kuriboh-haired Hero duelist.

"When did she get a Fusion Monster?!" asked Bastian, staring as the summoning was proceeding. 

"Beats me, but fusing two Synchro Monsters is amazing!" replied the speechless Alexis.

Zane stared, his blank face now expressing surprise and intrigue. That Muto girl would make an interesting opponent someday. 

"Come Forth, Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste!"

The dragon appeared in a whirlwind and roared, shaking the arena.

"No way!" mumbled Mokuba, looking up at the monster.

"Yes way!" replied Yuna. "Now Draco-Equiste, attack his Chimera with Whirlwind Lance!" 

The dragon roared and took its giant lance, surrounded by swirling winds, and dived for Chimera, destroying it. Mokuba got blown back, and landed on his back.

Mokuba: 400 - 900 = 0

Winner: Yuna!

The whole arena erupted into cheers and applause as the monsters faded away.

"Gotcha!" said Yuna, winking.

Mokuba laughed, standing up, "You did good Yuna. You sure surprised me."

Yuna walked over to her friend, holding out her hand, "You weren't so bad yourself, Mokie."

Mokuba turned red, "Don't call me that!" 

Nonetheless, he shook her hand in respect, then they both let go. Then Chancellor Shepard and Dr. Crowler walked up to the duel arena. 

"Well done Yuna, I'm very glad to say that you're here to stay at the Academy, well done." congratulated the Chancellor while Crowler nodded beside him.

"Thank you Chancellor." Yuna replied, bowing, but before she could respond more...

"YOU DID GREAT YUN!" yelled Jaden enthusiastically, jumping on the girl, hugging her, causing her to fall over. "YOU TOTALLY GOT YOUR GAME ON!"

"Jay, can't breathe!" gasped Yuna, turning a bit purple as Jaden was crushing her.

-Announcer's Booth-

Up high in the announcer's booth, two people were watching the entire duel and its aftermath. 

"Seems like she still has it." said the shorter one of them, smiling.

"Hn, she just got lucky, that's all." grunted the other, taller, figure. 

The shorter figure gave a chuckle and continued to look down as Jaden and now Syrus, jumped on Yuna in happiness.

-Arena-

"Alright, now that your duel is done Yuna," began Crowler, "Jaden and Syrus now must duel for their admission into this school." 

Yuna nodded at the Professor and turned to Jaden and Syrus, who lost his enthusiasm.

"Give 'em everything you got you two." Yuna encouraged as she and Jaden fist-bumped.

"You got it!" replied Jaden, a big smirk on his face. 

And so the Tag Duel will now commence!
