-Last Time on Yugioh GX-

A green and purple summoning circle appeared in front of Yuna, and both of her Spellcasters were sucked in. At once, large amounts of magical power began to pour through the circle.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, allow me to introduce one of my favorites!"

A VERY familiar purple-clad magician jumped out of the summoning circle, causing many students, including some of Yuna's friends, to gasp in shock.

"Say hello to Dark Magician!!!"

-Stands-

Most of the school went ballistic. They were seeing a legend right on the field with their own eyes.

"No way! She actually has the Dark Magician?!" Syrus gasped.

"I thought it was only the King of Games who possessed that card." said Bastion, also surprised.

"So who cares, we get to see a living legend in action! This is sweet!" cheered Jaden, starry-eyed. "GO YUNA!!"

With Alexis, she too was also amazed at the summoning.

"She might turn this duel around!" she muttered.

Above the stands, a blue haired Obelisk also stared down, impressed.

"So what hun?" scoffed Missy. " my Princess is still more powerful than your puny magician."

Insect Princess: ATK: 3400

"That may be, but not without this." chuckles Yuna. "I play the Spell, Blustering Winds! This spell raises Dark Magician's Attack and Defense Points by 1000!"

Dark Magician: ATK: 2500 + 1000 = 3500; DEF: 2100 + 1000 = 3100

"Now attack Insect Princess with Dark Magic Attack!"

With that, the purple-clad magician twirled his green wand and directed a very powerful blast of magic right at the bug, sending her to the Graveyard.

Missy: 2200 - 100 = 2100

"I'll end it off with a facedown."

Turn 7

Dark Magician: ATK: 3500 - 1000 = 2500; DEF: 3100 - 1000 = 2100

"Alright Miss Princess, I play Monster Reborn to bring back my Insect Princess!"

"Next, I equip her with Insect Armor with Laser Cannon!" said Missy as mechanical armor appeared on Insect Princess' body. "This gives her 700 more Attack Points."

Insect Princess: ATK: 1900 + 700 = 2600

"Hold there Miss Buggy, I play Threatening Roar! So you can't attack this turn!" said Yuna, saving herself.

Missy growls and ends her turn.

Turn 8

"Okay, here we go." said Yuna looking at her newly drawn card. "First off I activate Monster Reincarnation! By discarding one card from my hand, I can have one monster from my Graveyard return to my hand."

"So with that I bring back my Effect Veiler! And I'll summon him to the field!"

"Now with both of these monsters, I got everything I need for a Synchro Summon!"

-Stands-

"A level 8 Synchro Summon?" asked a curious Bastion. "That's fairly new."

"Yeah, I wonder what kind of monster she'll bring out." Syrus said, also curious.

-Field-

Yuna looked to her two monsters, who nodded in approval. Effect Veiler gave her a thumbs up and Dark Magician gave her a small smile.

"I tune my Dark Magician with Effect Veiler!"

Effect Veiler glowed and turned into one green ring and Dark Magician entered the rings only to turn into seven stars.

7 + 1 = 8

A bright light shot through the ring and a mighty roar came through.

"Clustering wishes will become a new shining star. Become the path it's light shines upon. Synchro Summon! Take flight, Stardust Dragon!!!"

The beautiful Dragon let out a mighty roar as it emerged on the field. The people in the stands stared in awe at the large Dragon, even Missy was a bit shocked.

"S-So what?! My Princess is still more powerful than your stupid dragon!" stuttered Missy.

"Oh he's more powerful than that. I play Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your Armor."

A large gust of wind stirred up and destroyed the armor on Insect Princess.

Insect Princess: ATK: 2600 - 700 = 1900

Missy growled again at her disadvantage.

"Now Stardust Dragon attack!" declared Yuna. "Cosmic Flare!"

With a loud roar, Stardust Dragon attacked and destroyed Insect Princess on the spot.

Missy: 2100 - 600 = 1500

"And I'll leave it at that."

Turn 9

"You're really starting to get on my nerves Hun." growled Missy, drawing her card, which was the spell card Lightning Vortex.

Smiling, Missy went on with her plan, "I activate the Spell, Lightning Vortex, by discarding one card from my hand, I can destroy all monsters on your field."

As lightning gathered above them, Yuna smirked.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that Buggy." teased Yuna. "I activate Stardust Dragon's special ability!"

"Oh and what does that do?"

"By sacrificing himself, I can negate the effect of a spell, trap, or monster."

Stardust Dragon disappeared into the Graveyard and the lightning stopped.

"Grr, you're really getting on my nerves, you runt." Missy said angrily, looking at her hand for help, but saw no cards that could help her.

"I end my turn."

At that, Stardust Dragon returned to the field in a shower of Stardust.

"Hey wait, I thought he was sent to the Graveyard?! What gives?" Missy asked irritated.

"Simple, Stardust Dragon's effect allows him to return to the field if he was sacrificed due to his special effect." explained Yuna.

"That's one unique special ability." said Bastion.

Turn 10

"And with that you're left wide open for an attack!" said Yuna. "Stardust Dragon, attack with Cosmic Flare!"

With that command, Stardust Dragon let out a mighty roar and sent white and purple flares right at Missy.

"Noooo!"

Missy: 1500 - 2500 = 0
Yuna: WINNER!!

"And that's game!" said Yuna, copying Jaden's signature pose.

With the end of that duel, the entire crowd roared in excitement.

"ALRIGHT SHE WON!" Syrus and Jaden cheered.

"That was quite the duel." agreed Bastion.

By the Obelisks, Alexis smiled at the Slifer Girl as Jaden and Syrus ran down and tackled her.

"Well done Yuna," came Chancellor Shepard's voice over the intercom. "Not only have you defeated a 2nd year Obelisk, and won, but you did it with such an inspiring zeal as well."

"It is with great honor that I promote you to Ra Yellow!"

"Sorry Chancellor, but I must decline." said Yuna, shocking everyone.

"How come Yun?" asked Syrus.

"Three reasons Sy: One - The Slifer Dorm is my home. Two - I wanna prove that we Slifer Reds are a force to be reckoned with and not some pushovers. And Three - There's no way I'm gonna leave my friends." she replied, ruffling his hair.

Syrus was touched by Yuna's declaration and began to cry happy tears, hugging the red-clad girl, who stumbled into Jaden, who was laughing his face off at the situation.

"Haha! Well welcome home Yun!" laughed Jaden, ruffling her hair.

The three friends continued laughing as the entire stadium applauded and cheered.
