Note: What's up peeps? I'm back with a new episode!

Okay listen up, the duel in this episode was originally Alexis vs. Jaden, but I'm switching it to be Alexis vs. Yuna, and I will be following the duel on Alexis' side, however, I will be going through my deck to get cards that will counter Alexis' moves, mainly so Syrus doesn't get expelled. So I hope you guys are okay with it.

Also, a question for you all:
Should Yuna duel in the next episode? It's the 4th episode "Raring to Go," and if she does duel, who does she duel? Please leave your answers in the comments.

-Duel Academy-

It was a sunny day at Duel Academy, however to the students, it was the first day for actual classes. And already Jaden and the gang were off to a "great" start. They were currently attending Dr. Crowler's class.

"Duel Monster Cards can be grouped into Normal Monster cards, Fusion Monster cards, Ritual Monster cards, Effect Monster cards, Trap cards, and Spell cards." Alexis explained. "Trap cards can be divided into Normal Traps, Counter Traps, and Continuous Traps. Spell cards can be separated into Normal Spells, Continuous Spells, Equip Spells, Quick-Play Spells, Ritual Spells, and Field Spells."

"Perfect!~" sang Dr. Crowler. "Well done Alexis! Of course, I wouldn't expect anything less from one of my Blue Obelisks."

"Yes Dr. Crowler." came Alexis' reply as she sat down.

"Hmm, now who should we question next?" pondered Crowler, looking among the students. "You, Syrus Truesdale!"

Syrus nervously stood up, trembling under the gaze of the teacher and the other students.

"Explain to the class what a Field Spell is please." said Crowler.

Syrus, feeling the pressure, started to become a stuttering mess, "Um...A field spell is a...it's the...thing that effect the thing...is uh..."

Yuna looked at the stuttering boy in worry. It reminded her of the time when she and her brother were young. He was a stuttering mess before he solved the Millenium Puzzle. She wasn't different during her first few years in school either. She also had a shy streak going, until Jaden literally dragged her out of her shell.

"Even Pre-Duelers know the answer to this you Slifer Slacker!" shouted an Obelisk, which caused the almost the entire Obelisk and Ra students to laugh at him and the rest of the Slifers.

And Yuna was not amused.

"No, I know...it's a...uh..." came the weak reply from Syrus, who became totally red in the face.

"Relax Sy, you totally got this." Jaden said to him, a confident smile on his face.

"He's right Sy, don't let those bullies get to you." said Yuna, also with a smile on her face.

"I think not." replied Dr. Crowler, shaking his head. "Sit down. Now would someone please give me the answer. Preferably someone not wearing red, thank you."

This caused some of the class to laugh at the reds again. And Syrus felt embarrassed. But Jaden and Yuna were having none of that.

"I blew it," muttered Syrus. "I've made all the Slifers look bad."

"Y'know somethin' teach, you really shouldn't go making fun of us Slifers like that." piped up Jaden, causing Crowler to look over at him. "I mean, I'm a Slifer and I beat ya. So when you're make fun of us, you're really makin' fun of yourself."

Crowler bit his handkerchief in order to contain his anger towards the Slifer. And he was about to go off too, until...

"By the way, a Field Spell casts an environment over the dueling field, imbuing a special effect, often aiding monsters with its said effects. They remain on the field until they are destroyed or another field spell in put into play." joined Yuna, standing up and giving the Slifers a big grin.

At this, Crowler bit his handkerchief harder, as the Princess of Games gave HIM the answer.

Yuna sat back down as she and Jaden gave the other Slifers a big confidence boost.

'THAT'S IT! I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS SLACKER FOR ANOTHER SECOND!! I'LL SEE TO IT THAT HE'S TAKEN DOWN!!!' Crowler swore in his head.

-Banner's Class-

"So, as some of some you students know, my name is Professor Lyman Banner." greeted the teacher. "I specialize in some of the lesser known tactics and strategies in the world of duel monsters. Some that a few might even consider to be unnatural. Duel Alchemy for example is..."

*YAWN*

Yuna's attention was drawn from the teacher to her ever yawning childhood friend. Then again, Jaden almost always slept during class, even back at their middle school days. It's a wonder on how he barely scrapes by with his grades.

"By the way, thanks Jaden, Yuna." came Syrus' grateful thanks.

"Sure no prob, for what?" Jaden replied, bored and droopy eyed.

"Sticking up for me." said Syrus.

Suddenly, Professor Banner turned to look at the three Slifers. This caused Jaden to quickly perk up.

"Uh oh, I'm thinkin' I might have to do it again in a second..."

"Syrus," called Prof. Banner as the boy hastily stood up with a quick, "Yeah."

"Do me a favor and grab Pharaoh, would you?"

"Uh Pharaoh?!" came his confused reply.

Yuna noticed a cat lurking around Syrus' legs. Before she could say anything, Prof. Banner spoke up.

"Unless you are minoring as a scratch post."

Syrus felt something wrap around his legs, looking down, he saw a brown cat rubbing and purring against his leg. Some of the class laughed a bit.

-Girl's Gym-

Yuna was waiting with the rest of the girls in a separate gym, away from the boys. She recognized a few of the girls, but most were giving her odd looks. She didn't mind them though, she was used to it.

Suddenly one girl screamed, something about a boy. But when Yuna saw who the boy was, it didn't take her long to find out.

"Syrus? What are you doing here?" asked Yuna.

"Um, for PE, why?" came the confused boy's reply.

"Sy, the Boy's Gym is next door. This is the Girl's Gym." explained the blackette.

"Oh not again!!!" cried Syrus in a panic, as he ran off to the Boy's Gym.

She sighed, her poor friend was having a rough day.

-Time Skip Brought to You by Grilled Cheese-

Yuna was sitting in her dorm room going through her deck. She sighed, for some, it was a good first day of classes. But for Syrus it was like going through the his own personal nightmare.

As she looked through her deck, she heard a faint "woo" from her right. She looked over and saw her Kuriboh chatting avidly with Jaden's Winged Kuriboh. She grinned, her brother sure knows how to pick confident Duelist.

*Knock Knock*

Looking over at her door, Yuna wondered who could be out here at this time of the evening. Opening the door, she saw Jaden, who was rubbing his hair with a towel, possibly just getting out of the outhouse.

"Hey Yun, have you seen Sy anywhere? Chumely told me he just left. He seemed to be in good mood..." asked Jaden.

"No, I haven't...but that sure doesn't sound like Syrus...." replied Yuna, scratching the back of her head.

-Meanwhile-

Syrus was rowing across the lake to the Obelisk Girl Dorm. A big goofy grin was plastered on his face.

"Alexis! I'm coming for you my darling! I'm coming!" declared the lovesick teal head.

-Girls' Dorm-

By the lakeside port, Crowler, dressed in a black jumpsuit, snapped the lock to the Girls' Dorm and sneaked into several bushes until he stopped in front of the Obelisk Wading Pool. He could hear the conversation going on inside.

"Hey Alexis, wanna chill out in the Obelisk Wading Pool."

"No thanks, we'll wave and the guys'll rage. I'm not in the mood for a game of Tackle Marco Polo."

"Hello? Girls' Dorm? No guys allowed remember?"

Crowler peaked from behind the bushes, an excited grin on his face.

"This will be perfect! Thanks to that faux love letter I wrote!"

"Jaden will show up looking for Alexis, but all he'll find is trouble instead. Once he arrives, I'll snap a picture of him!"

"And then, I will have caught him red handed breaking campus rules! He would be ruined!"

Meanwhile, while Crowler was daydreaming, Syrus arrived at the Girls Dorm. He jumped off his boat and ran past the gates, oblivious to the broken lock on the ground.

-Inside the Girls' Dorm-

Inside the Wading Pool, Alexis was with her two friends, Mindy and Jasmine, relaxing after a day of classes. Until Jasmine brought up a certain topic.

"Can you believe what that Jaden kid said to Dr. Crowler in class today. And the nerve of that Yuna girl, talking back to him." retorted Jasmine. "They've got some nerve to talk to a teacher like that. Completely disrespectful! Don'tcha think, Alexis?"

"And what's with everyone calling her the Princess of Games. I mean Muto is a common last name right?" asked Mindy.

"Actually I thought they were kinda cool." came Alexis' reply.

"What?! Them, cool?!" came Jasmine's shocked reply.

"They could be, if they had the talent to back up that talk maybe." said Mindy.

"I think they just might. Still, I won't know until I duel them myself, Yuna especially." Alexis replied.

"Why her though? Is it because of the rumors?" asked Mindy.

"Dunno..." said Jasmine.

-With Syrus-

Syrus was just walking up by the Obelisk Wading Pool as Crowler hid in the nearby bush.

"Come Jaden, right into my trap like the Slifer Sap you are."

"Alexis?"

However, when he saw that it was not Jaden, but SYRUS! Crowler flipped!

"THAT'S NOT JADEN! IT'S THAT STAMMERING FIELD SPELL NITWIT!" Crowler yelled, revealing himself from his bush.

But an Obelisk Girl walked out of the Wading area, hearing the commotion outside.

"Who's there?"

Crowler quickly turned and saw three more girls notice him.

"IT'S A BOY!"

Soon a big commotion started as Crowler panicked.

"I am not a boy, I'm am man! I mean! OH JUST FORGET IT!" screamed Crowler, covering his face and running away until he slipped into the water. "You don't know me! You don't know me! AH!"

Instead, Syrus was caught!

And the nervous boy was not taking it well.

"Let me go! Please!" whimpered Syrus.

"Not until you tell us why you're here. And it better be good!" said Jasmine, scowling at the young Slifer.

So Syrus proceeded to explain to Mindy, Jasmine, and Alexis about why he was here. And he soon showed them the letter that was supposedly written for him from Alexis. But that was thrown out the window as Jasmine read that the letter was intended for Jaden and that Alexis' name was spelled incorrectly.

Unfortunately, before they could figure out what to do with the poor boy, Ms. Fontaine appeared from upstairs. Luckily, Alexis quickly made an excuse, despite it almost being midnight.

And it was there that Alexis thought up a plan to finally duel Yuna Muto.

-Slifer Dorm-

Meanwhile, Yuna was hanging out with Jaden, who was avidly playing on his handheld Console and was rapidly pulling combos.

"300 move combo! YES!"

"Jay, at this rate you'll wake up the entire dorm!" scolded Yuna, watching him pull of the combo.

That was, until her Duel Pad started beeping. A Message? Yuna quickly answered it, with Jaden pausing his game and listening.

"We have your friend, Syrus. If you want him back, come to the Girls' Dorm now. With only one other person."

The voice was distorted, so they couldn't identify who was the sender. But what they did know, was that they needed to get their friend out.

"Oh Syrus, what did you do now..."

-Girls' Dorm-

Crowler swam to the front of the dorm, using a straw to breathe. He surfaced and he was mad.

"You try to expel one kid and the entire world turns against you!"

He then turned to see Jaden rowing another boat, with Yuna on board with him.

"You're a little late."

At the docks, both Yuna and Jaden saw Syrus tied up and held captive by Alexis, Jasmine, and Mindy.

"Hi Jaden, Hi Yuna." he greeted.

"Hey, so what exactly is going on here?" asked the clueless Slifer as he helped Yuna off the boat.

"Well, uh...to make a long story short, I'm basically a big loser..."

"Your friend here trespassed into the Girls' campus!" retorted Jasmine.

"Is that true, Sy?" asked Yuna, looking surprised.

"Hey, it's not like that!"

"And now that Jaden is here, he's trespassing too. Though, I'm not sure about Yuna though..." said Mindy.

"That's right, so if you don't want us to turn you in, Yuna's gonna have to win your freedom by beating me in a duel right now." said Alexis with a smirk on her face.

"But if you turn us in, Jaden and I will be expelled! And Yuna is going to get in suspension!"

"Don't worry Sy! I won't let that happen!" said Yuna. "Now let's duel, Alexis."

-Lake-

"I hope you know what you're doing Yuna." said Syrus as Yuna and Alexis both stood up on separate boats. With Yuna, Jaden, and Syrus being on one, and Alexis, Mindy, and Jasmine bringing the other.

Crowler was not too far off from the dueling field.

"Well well well, a Slifer vs an Obelisk. Put them in their place Alexis." said Crowler.

"Ready?" challenged Alexis.

"I sure am!" came her challenger's reply.

"DUEL!"

"It's Time to Duel, Alexis!"

Alexis: 4000
Yuna: 4000

Turn 1

"Alright, let's see," started Alexis, drawing a card, "Etoile Cyber, rise!"

"And I'm also going to play one card face down." finished Alexis, placing one card in the Spell/Trap zone.

Turn 2

"Okay, it's my draw," said Yuna, "first I summon Magician's Valkyria!"

"Now attack Etoile Cyber with Mystic Scepter Blast!"

A green burning orb formed from the Magician's staff and soared across the field towards Etoile Cyber.

"Hold it right there!" interrupted Alexis. "I activate the Trap, Doble Passe!"

Alexis: 4000 - 1600 = 2400

Valkyria's attack swung around Etoile Cyber and instead hit Alexis!

"Huh? How'd that happen?" asked Jaden.

"Doble Passe changes her monster's attack to a direct attack on me." explained Alexis. "And now my monster that she was about to attack gets to wage a direct attack on her!"

"Uh oh," muttered Yuna as Etoile Cyber approached her.

"Oh and when Etoile Cyber attacks someone directly, her attack points increase by 600!" said Alexis.

Etoile Cyber: 1200 + 600 = 1800

The dancing monster kicks Yuna straight in the chest, causing her to lose Life Points.

Yuna: 4000 - 1800 = 2200

"Yuna," Syrus called out in worry.

"Whoa, that Alexis is something else," muttered Yuna, "sacrificing her own Life Points just so she can get to mine."

"So you're impressed?" asked Alexis, overhearing her muttering.

"Impressed? I'm more than impressed," said Yuna, placing two cards facedown.

"You're sweet," complimented Alexis, "too bad I have to crush you. Now then, where were we?"

Turn 3

Alexis: 2400
Yuna: 2200

"I play Blade Skater!"

"And I activate the Spell Card, Polymerization to fuse Etoile Cyber and Blade Skater together to summon Cyber Blader!"

"Now Cyber Blader, attack Valkyria with Whirlwind Rage!" commanded Alexis.

Cyber Blazer twirled across the field like a whirlwind and delivers a graceful kick to Valkyria, thus destroying her.

"Aw man," muttered Yuna, recovering from the wind attack.

Yuna: 2200 - 500 = 1700

"Way to go Alexis!" cheered Mindy.

"Yeah! You got her now! I knew her title was a fake!" said Jasmine.

"Well, I'd be my pleasure to prove you wrong," mumbled Yuna, drawing a card.

Turn 4

"Alright, I summon the Tuner Monster, Effect Veiler in Attack Mode!"

"Next, I play my Trap Card, Call of the Haunted and bring back Magician's Valkyria!"

From the grave, Magician's Valkyria arose and floated alongside Effect Veiler.

"I now Tune Effect Veiler with Magician's Valkyria!" declared Yuna.

'Tuning?' thought Alexis. 'Like at the Entrance Exam?'

Effect Veiler turned into three rings, as Valkyria turned into four stars.

4 + 1 = 5

"Scarred Warrior who knows the pain of the Earth, prove your well and whole!! I Synchro Summon, Scarred Warrior!!!" chanted Yuna, as a stream of light blasted through the rings.

The heavily bandaged warrior arose from the rings of light, floating above the field in a formidable stance.

"Okay, it looks like it's going to be one Fusion Monster," started Alexis.

"Against a Synchro Monster, huh Alexis?" finished Yuna, as the Obelisk nodded in turn.

"That's fine by me," said Alexis. "Although, since they have the exact same Attack Points, they're just going to destroy each other. "

"Then you should know, Scarred Warrior can't be destroyed by battle once per turn." said Yuna. "Then, you'll be wide open for an attack. Scarred Warrior attack Cyber Blazer with Steel Earth Strike!"

'Someone hasn't done their homeowrk.' thought Alexis, smirking.

The two warrior monsters clashed, with Steel hitting steel. However, both of them were not destroyed!

"What?! How did Cyber Blader survive Scarred Warrior's attack?" asked Jaden.

"Simple," said Alexis, "Cyber Blader's special ability makes it so she can't be destroyed by an opponent with only one monster."

"But then, that would mean," started Yuna.

"Neither of us lose any Life Points." finished Alexis.

Alexis: 2400
Yuna: 1700

"Well, I guess you got me." said Yuna placing two cards face down.

"Oh, when I get you Yuna, believe me you'll know it." retorted Alexis, drawing a card, and smiled.

Turn 5

"Like right now, for example. I equip my Spell Card Fusion Weapon to Cyber Blader.

Cyber Blader: ATK: 2100 + 1500 = 3600; DEF: 800 + 1500 = 2300

"Don't think about attacking yet! I play my Trap, Threatening Roar!" said Yuna. "Now you can't attack this turn."

"Grr, I end my turn." growled Alexis.

Turn 6

"My draw, and first off I play Monster Reincarnation!"

"By discarding one card to the Graveyard, I can have one of my monsters return to my hand, so I pick Magician's Valkyria and play her!"

Magician's Valkyria returned from the grave, but Yuna has another plan for her.

"But she's not going to be here for long. I sacrifice her to summon Chaos Command Magician!"

A black and green portal swirled open and lightning cracked as the green clad magician exited the portal and landed on the field. The Magician's presence shook the boats, and almost drowned Crowler.

"Alright Yuna!" cheered Jaden and Syrus.

"Now you'll really get it, when you have two monsters on the field, Cyber Blader's Attack Points double." said Alexis, smirking.

Cyber Blader: 3600 + 2100 = 5700

"I know about that, and that's why, I came prepared," said Yuna. "I play my facedown, Tribute to the Doomed!"

"By discarding one card from my hand, I can destroy one of your monsters, like Cyber Blader for example!"

Mummy hands rose from the water and seized Cyber Blader by her legs.

"Oh no!" cried Alexis.

"This duel is over! Chaos Command Magician, attack her directly with Chaos Strident Blast!"

The green clad magician raised his staff, the Orbs glowing a bright green, and sent it flying at Alexis. She grunted as the attack hit her head on.

Alexis: 2400 - 2400 = 0
Yuna: WINNER!

"Alexis!" cried Jasmine.

"Uh, what just happened?" asked Mindy, shocked.

"YEAH!" cheered Syrus and Jaden, as Sy hugged Yuna.

"Alright, looks like that is game!" said Yuna, copying Jaden's signature pose.

-Later-

"Well a deal's a deal. I won so they get off free." said Yuna, as the two boats were now side by side.

"Okay guys I won't back out. We'll keep quiet about what happened tonight." agreed Alexis.

"Well if you ask me, I'd say we should turn both of them in right now." growled Jasmine.

"Well no one asked you." retorted Alexis.

"Alexis?!"

"Yuna beat me in a duel fair and square and that's all there is to it."

"Well there's more to it than that." said Yuna. "It was close."

"Yeah, you got game!" said Jaden, smiling along with his friend.

The Slifer Trio sat back down in their boat, ready to head home.

"Later! Have a good night!" said Yuna, waving at the girls as Jaden began to row them back to the Slifer Dorms.

'Even if I did win, I could never turn those two in. This place is a lot more fun with them, then without.' thought Alexis.

Jasmine looked at her friend skeptically, she wondered if Alexis actually respected Yuna as the Princess of Games or if she's really falling for the Slifer Boy.

Meanwhile, Crowler was seething at the fact that Alexis lost to Yuna and that Jaden and Syrus got off free. He swam away, needing to get home before classes start.
