So I aged up Mokuba, as you can see from the last chapter, so he can be a little more helpful and know how to fight off kidnappers rather than just being kidnapped :P yeah.... Well, enjoy!

As the number of duelists began to decrease, Seto talked to someone over the phone while pacing in his office while Mokuba walked in.

"So, you know nothing?!" Seto growled in frustration and was silent as the person on the other end replied. "Whatever, just find SOMETHING on this! And hurry up!" Seto then hung up the call and then sat down in his seat and melted in the cushion as he let out a frustrated groan.

"Big bro. We couldn't find much either. Other than the stuff already know." Mokuba sighed and gulped while Seto grumbled and sat up then began to type some things in the computer and Mokuba left.

"Who is that girl and what is she?" Seto thought aloud in a low tone as he kept searching.

Soon the day was over and everyone in the group had made it, Joey just barely scraped by. It was now dinner time and everyone ate in silence. Soon Yugi spoke up.

"So, we'll have to fight each other soon, huh?" He sighed and everyone nodded. Kari blinked and smiled.

"I can't think of anyone else to give me a challenge!" She giggled and the whole group chuckled.

"True, I'm actually glad I'm gonna duel you guys!" Joey called and Mai smirked and crossed her arms.

"Oh, and that just about seals it for you. Better pick out a seat in the stands." She taunted and Kari snickered. Joey blushed in anger.

"H-hey! I've gotten a LOT better Mai! I'll show ya!" He called and Mai rolled her eyes. Kari sighed happily and continued to eat. In a flash it was the thirteenth day, the day of the semi finals. Joey and Mai were out and Kari, Yugi and Atem were still in the game. There were a few familiar faces around such as Mako Tsunami, Rex Raptor, Weevil Underwood, Maximilian Pegasus, and sadly Yami Bakura. There were some other people there but not many. They last few people were led outside and to a football sized arena that was walled up and had no roof. It was tall, yet not as tall as the main hall, and was colored silver with bits of steel here and there. The remaining competitors entered the building and were then told the rules by Seto Kaiba, who appeared on a screen in a waiting room type lobby.

"So, you made it this far. Whatever, so each of you will be pared to duel on each levels of the floor. When each duel is done the remaining will take the elevator up to the next floor while the losers use the stairs down. You are being filmed and shown to the others in the main hall. When there are only three left the semi finals TRUELY begin. Now good luck... And, BEGIN!" Kaiba seemed in a hurry as the TV turned off. The two guards then drew cards to figure out who was against who. It was Kari verses Mako, Rex verses Yugi, Weevil verses Atem and Yami Bakura verses Maximillion as well as two other matches going on. Soon it was just Kari, Atem, Yugi and Yami Bakura and two others. Kari glanced at Yami Bakura as he was leaning on the elevator wall with his eyes closed and his arms crossed. She shivered and gulped then the elevator stopped and she stepped out. It was Kari verses Yugi, Atem verses some random person, and Yami Bakura verses some random person. Kari frowned but then nodded her head with a confident smirk.

"Good luck Yugi." Kari giggled and Yugi smiled with a huff.

"You too, Kari. DRAW!" He called. Eventually Kari had won and Yugi had to climb the stairs down and sit with the group. Kari gave him a high five before he left and then entered the elevator to the next floor. Atem smiled at her and comforted her since he knew she felt bad about doing that to Yugi.

"It's ok. It was bound to happen at some point." Atem sighed and rubbed Kari's back. The teen nodded and smiled lightly at Atem.

"I know... I just wish it was on the first floor. That way he wouldn't have to take the stairs down." Kari giggled and Atem laughed. Yami Bakura glared at them from afar then smirked. Soon the doors opened and they entered the third floor to see Seto Kaiba standing before them with crossed arms and a slight glare. His legs shoulder width apart. Seto scanned the final three and then set his eyes on Kari for a while then spoke.

"Well, looks like I won't need my research team to do much. I'll have a front row seat to the show." Seto thought then cleared his throat to speak.

"Well, look who finally decided to show. Took you three long enough. Anyways, now its time for you three to duel. I will be joining your ranks now to even out the odds." Seto called then took a remote out of his pocket and clicked the red button on it. A TV lowered from the ceiling to show a roster that was beginning to be shuffled. Seto clicked the button again and it stopped. It showed the Semi Final match ups. It was Atem verses Seto and Kari verses Yami Bakura. Kari shivered and gulped then looked at Yami Bakura as he glanced at her with evil intent. This made a shiver jold up her spin quickly as her symbols began to glow brightly out of fear.

"Danger..." Kari heard as she gulped. "Danger.... Danger... Danger, Danger, Danger, Danger, Dang--"

"Kari?" Atem called and made Kari jolt out of her thoughts, her symbols no longer glowing. She looked up at him and blinked. "You ok?" He asked with a concerned tone. Kari nodded.

"Y-yeh..." Kari gulped then sighed.

"At least... I hope so..." Kari thought then Seto took a step back. The Semi Finals then began. First up was Seto verses Atem. (A/N We all know how this is goin' down. Beats: It's goin' down!

Boom: We're yelling TIMBER!!!) Atem won and it was now time for Kari verses Yami Bakura. The two took their spots and got ready. Kari felt her knees shaking as Yami Bakura chuckled. The duel began in a snap and Seto watched and took a personal video because a small hiden camera was sewen into the jacket he was wearing while Atem gulped, knowing that Yami Bakura would make this duel a shadow duel in no time because of the last time. Sure enough he was right. After Yami Bakura drew his first card a black mist surrounded everyone even Seto and Atem.

"--- I set two wspell/trap cards and a face down monster... Your move, Kari." The way Yami Bakura said "Kari" made her shiver as she drew her card.

"D-D-DRAW!" Kari stammered and looked at her hand. she had only one monster in her hand. It was Gemini Elf. "I summon Gemini Elf to the field! Then I place one face down spell/trap. Now-" Kari pointed to Yami Bakura's face down monster card. "- Gemini Elf! Attack!" She called and Gmini Elf attacked and destroyed the monster. Yami Bakura smirked at this. The card was Man Eater Bug. Kari flinched at the reveal, knowing that she would have to say good by to her Gemini Elf.

The duel went on and Yami Bakura was in the lead by one thousand live points and overwhelming Kari. Atem was internally panicking while Seto watched with crossed arms, annoyed that he was not finding anything of use. Kari grumbled and her symbols began to glow brighter out of frustration. Seto widened his eyes then smirked.

"What's the matter Kari? Too tough for you? Are you caving under the pressure?" Yami Bakura taunted and Kari glared at him as a thin line of silver aura came from her eyes.

"Shut up..." Kari growled and looked down slightly.

"Oooh, I'm shaking in my boots." He taunted with a chuckle. This made Kari mad and she shot her eyes up to glare at Yami Bakura intensely with an animal like growl. Soon Kari's hair began to sway and spark like a fire. Everyone stared in surprise except for Yami Bakura, who was hoping for this. Soon Kari's hair was pure flame and swaying upward. The girl held her head in pain and staggered back with a yelp. Yami Bakura laughed evilly. "I see now!" He called and Kari gulped then stood up straight as the fire soon began to surround her head. "You can't control your abilities!" Yami Bakura called out. "You can't even keep a level head in a shadow duel! What a joke!" Kari winced and her rage grew.

"SHUT UP!!" She roared in anger and the flame was now covering her whole upper half. It did not affect her cards for some reason. Yami Bakura smirked as he saw Kari's rage growing.

"You are a monster, Kari. Look at yourself right now!" He called and Kari blinked then looked do9wn at herself, seeing the flame. Kari gulped and looked at Seto and Atem then back at Yami Bakura then to the ground.

"Don't listen to him Kari!" Atem called out, trying to calm Kari down. "You are not a monster! You can control this!!" He called and Kari gulped then closed her eyes and sighed. She then took her turn.

"DRAW!!!!" She roared and drew a card. Kari gave a light smile with a low giggle as she narrowed her eyes happily. "Hey, glad you could make it." She said then began to feel the flame around her get smaller. She put her new card in her hand and then took a deep breath. "ALRIGHT! I SACRIFICE BOTH OF MY ALCHEMIST OF BLACK SPELLS TO BRING IN MY COSMO QUEEN!!" Kari called out with a smirk. Yami Bakura blinked. Now Kari had her Mythical Beast Cerberus on the field, Ancient Elf and Cosmo Queen. Kari sent in her Ancient Elf to get rid of Yami Bakura's Jowgen the Spiritualist, then she sent in Mythical Beast Cerberus to destroy his White Magical Hat. Now it was time for Kari to finish the job. Yami Bakura's field was completely blank now, it was a deciding blow. "GO COSMO QUEEN!!! FINISH THE JOB!!" Kari called and Cosmo Queen attacked Yami Bakura head on, ending the duel. Kari over did it by two hundred points. Yami Bakura growled as he lost, ending the shadow duel. Kari smiled and giggled happily then trotted up to Atem and gave him a high five. Seto glanced at Kari, in shock at what he just saw. He grumbled in thought then decided to leave it be. The four then left the tower and went to their rooms to rest for the finals that were the next day.
