Day two of the tournament was under way. Kari raced out of her room with glee and skid to a stop upon arriving at the main hall. Mai and Tea chuckled when they arrived at the main hall as well. Mai ruffled Kari's head while Tea high fived  her happily.

"Ready for day two?" A voice called. Joey then picked Kari up which made her yelp in shock. Everyone laughed. "Awe, come on it's only me!" Joey laughed and Kari relaxed. Joey then put Kari back down and gave her a fist bump.

"I wonder what the rules are today..." Kari hummed aloud. She sounded deep in thought about yesterday since she knew many things were to come. That was when the jumbo trons flicked on, startling Kari out of her thoughts as her eyes snapped upward to look at the jumbo trons.

"Hello," Seto Kaiba called and everyone cheered. "Today's rules are team duels.  You can only be in teams of two. This is NOT like a tag duel. So, first you find out which team goes first and which goes second. Both team members draw a card and play their cards at the same time. When both team members are ready to end their turn it goes to the next team and back and forth until a winner is decided. The duel system has been updated so now you can have up to ten monsters and spell/trap cards on the field for the team battles." Seto explained and Kari blinked. "One more thing. Team members must be in the SAME class and battle the SAME class. Tomorrow will be another team battle but you can chose from whatever class you want to and battle whoever. Now, BEGIN!" With that said the jumbo tron turned off and everyone scrambled to find a team partner. Atem tapped Kari's shoulder and smiled kindly.

"Would you care to join me, Kari?" He asked and Kari rolled her eyes with a smile. She shrugged and giggled.

"Sure." Kari replied and the two were off. They were a pretty good match and dueled very well together. When the day ended everyone went back to their rooms.

But for some reason Kari felt weird and could not sleep that night. So she decided to go for a stroll. It was very dark and cold out tonight as the crickets chirped. Kari looked around and sighed, every little noise she was not sure of made her jump out of reflex. A chuckle soon caught her off guard

"Shouldn't you be in bed child?" Kari turned around with a shiver and saw no one. She gulped at the new voice and looked to her left then her right then behind herself again. "Aw, scared you haven't I?" Kari blinked and bit her lip lightly. That was when a hand gently rubbed Kari's hair causing her to go stiff from surprise and a small whimper escaped her lips. "Aw, don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt such an adorable girl, oh heavens no. My name is Maximillion Pegasus." The man then turned Kari around so she could face them. "Wow, such dazzling eyes, like blood-rubies." He smirked and Kari blinked then felt herself take a step back.

"Wh-why are you here?" Kari stuttered. Pegasus hummed and looked at Kari in her eyes.

"Oh my dear child, I'm just here because I'm a member of this tournament. I entered just for fun." He chuckled and Kari narrowed her eyes, not believeing the older man in front of her as she took another step back. Kari then saw an opening while Pegasus was yapping about something she did not under stand and fled back to her room and locked the door, shut and locked the windows and grabbed a stick just incase Pegasus somehow got into her room.

----- moments later, servalince room in the main hall. -----

"Mister Kaiba, sir." One of the guards called as he got Seto Kaiba's attention.

"What?" The teen huffed and walked over with crossed arms.

"You need to see this. Those shadow duel things are back after some time now." The guard said and Seto widened his eyes.

"Put it on the big screen so I can see it better!" He ordered and a projector played the footage of Kari's duel with Yami Bakura from day one. He watched then widened his eyes more and more as the footage played on. "It's that girl again..." Seto whispered in a low tone so only he could hear.

"And THATS how you win a duel!" The video then stopped and everyone gasped as they saw what Kari was capable of. Seto hummed and then he noticed another video. A more recent one that was recorded moments ago. It was Kari, who was at firsh just taking an innocent stroll until she was confronted by Pegasus. He then replayed the footage from Kari's duel with Yami Bakura again and replayed it over and over, trying to wrap his head around such odd events.

"Hey big bro," Called a voice as a young boy walked in with some coffee. "Here's your coffee. I made it just like you like it."

"Thank you Mokuba..." Sato yawned lightly. It had been hours since Seto had first seen the footage and it was wearing him out. Mokuba blinked and saw Seto click replay again.

"You still watching that footage of Kari?" Mokuba asked as he sat down and Seto nodded then froze and looked at his little brother.

"How did you know her name?"

"I looked at her registration forms a few hours ago while you were in here watching this video n-teenth times." Mokuba shrugged. Mokubo, who was about Kari's age yet a month older, blinked with an amused shrug. Seto just stared then stood up.

"What else did the forms say?" He asked as he went out of the room with his little brother close behind.

"Well, she has three older brothers and uh, that's about all it says in relation to personal affairs. She just got into duel monsters a few weeks ago, I don't have much else other than that."

"Tell the research team to do research on her. Her family too if necessary. I need to know as much about these... Events as soon as possible and in as much detail as possible. I need to know if she is dangerouse or not so no one gets hurt. I do not want to deal with that anytime soon." Seto sighed and then went to his room since he had a big day a head. Mokuba nodded and went to in from the research team of their new job.

Days three through ten had come and gone with not much interesting happening other than Kari and Joey being on the same team on day three and now it was time for day eleven. Everyone gathered at the same place to hear the rules. But today it was the guard that greeted them wham they arrived that was giving the rules instead of Seto.

"Good morning duelists!" He called out and everyone talked amongst themselves then heard the guard again and began to listen. "Seto Kaiba had more pressing matters to attend to so I am giving you the rules for today's duels." He called then cleared his throat. "Today will be a battle royal between anyone and everyone. Duels MUST consist of EXACTLY four players that are against each other. This will be the deciding point of who stays to play and who stays to watch. We are picking out the weak from the strong. If you lose here it is game over for you for the rest of the tournament. When you lose your wrist band will beep three times then go blank so we can identify who has lost." Everyone gulped and began to look around as the man kept going. "Now... BEGIN!!!" Everyone rushed around frantically with the newbies avoiding duels as much as possible while some rookies did the same and the more experienced duelists began to go at it with everything they had.

Kari looked around and before she knew it she was on a duel with three other guys.

"Hey, let's see if we can beat such a weak little girl!" One of them called.

"We?! I'm gonna beat her to a pulp!" another called.

"Your both wrong cuz it's gonna be me who leaves this duel victorious!" The third guy called out with a laugh. Kari sighed with an unamused look. It was obviouse that they did not see her wrist band and that these three were full of themselves. The duel started and in no time Kari had won with little effort.

"Wh-whaaat!?!" Kari smirked and crossed her arms the held up her wrist band.

"You three should pay attention to your opponents..." She chuckled then the three all hung their heads in defeat. "But I must say, you guys were kinda fun to duel. Your strategies were pretty cool and your card play was amazing." Kari complimented then went off with a wave, winning more duels.
