Kari woke up with a stretch and moaned like a cat with a small smile then got ready for the day. She got out of her black and yellow horizontally striped pajama tank top and matching shorts then put on her usual clothing. She decided not to wear her hoodie but she did wear her cap and goggles. Kari also tied on a silver ninja headband as well as blue fingerless biking gloves with silver lining to hide her symbols, which no one knew about other than her and her siblings. Not even her friends knee about them. She giggled then strapped on her duel disk and put on her deck holder then left her dorm with Tea and Mai close behind. The two headed to the main hall and watched as Kaiba appeared on the jumbo-tron in front of them.

"Morning," He huffed and began to explain the rules. "Today is similar to yesterday but it is like a free for all. Whoever you want to battle is your target, but only with in your class. You were given a class yesterday and then a wristband with your color. So only duel those with the same color wristband as you. You can duel at anytime through out the day except when it is meal time. If a duel is going on when a meal begins then the duel is called a draw regardless and players are forced to stop the duel and restart later. Before I begin if you lose you are NOT disqualified, this tournament is a point based one so if you lose just try again later. But, like the classes, if you have the least amount of points when the tournament is drawing to a close then you are no longer a part of the tournament and there for can not duel others until you leave this island with everyone else... Now... BEGIN!!" Everyone cheered and then scrambled around the island, seeing if their wristbands matched before dueling. Newbies were red, Rookies were orange, Experience were yellow, Pros had green and Veterans wore blue. Hours went by and it was time to eat. Kari had won three duels happily and explained to the group since they were busy dueling on their own.

"That sounds so cool!" Joey called with a chuckle. "Next time ya duel I'm watchin!" He smirked with crossed arms.

"You should, Kari was amazing!" Tea called out happily, then Yugi got an idea.

"We should all watch, that way we can see how well Kari holds up against other people." He giggled and everyone nodded while Kari blushed nervously. Soon they were out and about looking for challenges. Kari was challenged in no time by a boy with similar hair, but it was slightly more silver.

"Hello, I'm Bakura may I see if we are both in the same class?" He asked innocently and Kari showed him her wristband and he did the same. They were both pros. Kari blinked and looked at the boy in the eyes and the two got ready to duel. The group cheered for Kari happily while Atem watched with crossed arms, getting a bad feeling. Bakura chuckled. "Another soul for the shadow realm." He said with a more sinister tone. A strange glowing emanated from his chestfrom what looked like a ring and Bakura was out cold while another boy with Bakura's appearance and the same ring stepped up and grinned then shoved Bakura's limp body out of the way. Atem and the group jolted and went to stop this turn of events, but by the time they were close enough to help Kari was sucked into a shadow duel. Kari shivered and looked around, a little startled.

"Wha-what happened?" She said with a shiver in her tone. The boy laughed manically.

"You're in a shadow game, thanks to yours truly." He said. "Oh, I'm Yami Bakura by the way." He smirked and then the duel began.

"D-draw!" Kari called, still startled but she was getting more confident. "I summon Mystical Beast Cerberus!" Kari called out and placed the card down in attack mode. "Now I put down two face downs and end my turn."

"I draw!" Yami Bakura called and glanced at Kari. He widened his eyes slightly. "Why is she giving me that look? The look of a person who won't back down. She was quivering like an infant moments ago!" He thought then shook the thought from his head and looked at his cards. "I place a face down monster then put down one spell/trap card." He huffed then turned it over to Kari.

"My go, draw!" She called and drew her card.

Outside of the dark mist dome the gang was trying to help Kari and trying to find a way to get her out, but their attempts had failed.

"KARI!!!" Tea called sadly, banging on the dome with her fists. Joey and Tristan along with Duke were ramming against the dome with their bodies while Mai was punching it and Yugi was kicking it, gritting his teeth. Atem blinked and watched his friends try and save Kari.

"... Guys stop." He called and everyone looked at him. "We need to stop, that's not helping. Just let her be. Trust that Kari will win." He said and everyone exchanged sad looks then hesitantly stopped and watched.

Soon Kari was getting weak and was about to lose the duel since her life points were so low. "Man this hurts..." She thought with a wheeze and looked to Yami Bakura, who had a smug expression.

"Your move girl." He said smugly and Kari growled as she took her next card from her deck.

"... The name's Kari Himura." She muttered under her breath as she glanced over her hand.

"What?" Yami Bakura asked, not hearing what Kari said. Kari growled and lowered her head so her eyes were hidden by the shadows of her bangs, her body hunched over slightly.

"I said..." She muttered and then she whiped her body back up in a slightly straight position which made her hair sway backwards. Her eyes began glowing brightly as well as her symbols, which were glowing through her clothing while a strong energy surrounded her and messed with her hair and clothing as if a cyclone had surrounded her. "THE NAME'S KARI HIMURA AND I"M GONNA BEAT YOU!!! I SACRIFICE MY ANCIENT ELF AND ALCHEMIC OF BLACK SPELLS TO SUMMON COSMO QUEEN!!!!" Kari called out at the top of her lungs. Bakura went wide eyed at the scene before him. Everyone outside went wide eyed seeing Kari's silhouette as well as the glowing. "Now I activate Bound wand!" Kari called. "This card can only be attached to a spell caster card and raises that card's attack power times 100 its level... And I chose Cosmo Queen!" Cosmos Queen's attack went from 2900 to 3700. "Now I activate Book of the secret arts! This raises a spell caster's attack and defense by 300! I attach it to Cosmo Queen!" Cosmo Queen's attack went from 3700 to 4000 and her defense went from 2450 to 2750. "NOW!! ATTACK COSMO QUEEN!" Kari called and Cosmo Queen went for a direct attack to finish Yami Bakura who had 3900 life points left. The attack landed and Kari won, ending the shadow duel. "And THAT'S how you win a duel!" Kari growled, glaring at Yami Bakura, her symbols still glowing. Yami Bakura fled with Bakura and Kari turned to her friends, her pupils now slits as the cyclone of energy calmed down.

"K-kari?" Mai stammered with wide eyes.

"H-how did you do that?" Yugi gasped and Atem stared with wide eyes. Kari blinked and sighed as the glowing stopped and her eyes went back to normal. She looked at her friends sadly and gulped.

"I... I'm sorry... I didn't want you to find out..." Kari stammered as she stood still, her head low. "M-my brothers and I... Were born with these abilities..." Kari gulped and glanced up to the group in front of her then back down to the ground. "We-we were supposed to keep it a secret c-cuz of what happened before.. B-but now... Now you know..." Kari shivered lightly and Atem came up and put a hand on her shoulder. Kari slowly looked up at him, worried at what he would say to her.

"That was pretty cool." He said with a smile and Kari blinked, shocked at his words.

"Pretty cool, he says. That was AMAZIN!" Joey called out with a smirk and Tristan nodded in agreement along with Duke.

"You know, maybe we could figure out how to help you out if you ever need it." Tea giggled with a toothy grin.

"Yeah! And don't worry about a thing, we'll keep it quiet." Yugi smiled as he put his index finger over his mouth with a wink. Kari was frozen for a moment. She blinked in shock then a smile grew on her face as tears trailed down her cheeks but she wiped them off quickly before they could notice.

"Th-thank you..." She gulped and looked at everyone. "Thank you so much! You guys are the best!" Kari called out happily. Things looked up now for the girl but many trials were soon to come.

"How could this happen?!" Yami Bakura growled to himself. "I thought no one had powers like they did back in Egypt! And those powers were only because of the millennium items!" He growled while Bakura watched the other pace back and forth, talking to himself. "I have never seen such... Such strength, such power, never!" Then Yami Bakura stopped in his tracks as an evil grin slowly appeared on his face as he got an idea. "Well, this will be quite fun." He chuckled lightly and Bakura shrugged at the other then left the room to grab a snack from the cafeteria. "I will need time but this should work." Yami Bakura went on talking to himself then went to his bed and began to write down a few notes in his journal for his plan.
