(3rd Person PoV)

Scene Set!

Setting was this huge Duel Arena filled to the brim with people watching a duel. Some were holding posters of Yuya's face on it.

"Get ready everyone! It's time for a Pendulum Summoning!" Yuya called out, holding her hand outstretched in the air with her bracelet sparkling.

"I set Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician in the Pendulum zones!" She shouted.

The two zones appeared and the two magicians were beamed up into those Pendulum Zones.

"I'm allowed to summon multiple monsters from levels 2 to 7. Swing, pendulum of the soul! Draw an arc of light across the aether! Pendulum Summon! Appear now, my monsters!" Yuya called out and the two magicians were beamed up in a pillar of light.

"The dragon with the heterochromia eyes! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Odd Eyes appeared and the audience cheered for it.

*snap*

"Now lay waste to everything you see," Yuya commanded as Odd Eyes squared up to another dragon, this one being less colorful and had leathery wings which Odd Eyes lacked.

"Spiral Flame Strike!"

As the attack destroyed the monster of Yuya's opponent, the whole crowd cheered for her.

"She did it!" Futoshi cheered.

"She is now the Duel champion!" Ayu added on.

Later, Yuya was given a trophy and held it up with a large smile on her face.

Yuichi, Syuzo and Yoko were present in the crowd and were celebrating Yuya's victory. Even Gongenzaka was there!

"Yuya, good job!" Tatsuya and Yuichi cheered.

Gongenzaka was crying with joy, moved by Yuya's victory.

Yuya held the trophy closed to her chest and said, "Thank you, dad. For getting me this far and for bringing smiles to other people's faces."

She looked up to see her father, Yusho, watching her from afar with a big smile on his face.

A single tear of happiness rolled down her face as she saw him.

And then a voice yelled out, "As expected from my teacher!"

"Ehhhh?!" Yuya turned around to see the same kid from last time, Sora, who raced towards her and embraced her.

"What are you doing here?" Yuya asked.

"You're so cool, please be my teacher! Pretty please!" Sora asked.

"Wh-what?" Yuya took a step back and fell off a rocky cliff and into a dark void????

Thud!

"Ouch!"

Turns out all of that ended up being a dream as Yuya laid on the floor after falling off her bed.

She just lay there, confused as all heck before getting up.

She then looked at her bracelet that was on her nightstand. Yuya barely takes it off, only in the shower and when she's going to bed.

She took it and stared at the pendulum that was swinging from it.

Being champion might have been a dream but Pendulum Summoning wasn't. I really did it. I beat the Sledgehammer with it! I promise you, Dad, that I will bring smiles everywhere just like you did, Yuya thought and slipped on her bracelet.

Leaving her bedroom while yawning, there was one thought in her head that made her confused as all hell.

What's the deal with that Sora kid? He took out Shingo and his goons with just a lollipop stick. And he asked me to be his teacher. Weird, Yuya thought.

"Arf!" Yuya looked down to see a small, brown dog barking at her, followed by a white cat with yellow and blue eyes.

"An! Core!" Yuya said, happily and picked up An the dog.

"Look at you! You've grown so much. Back when Mom found you, you were big enough to fit in my hand," Yuya remarked as An licked her face.

She then put him down and then brushed her fingers against Core's fur.

"And good morning to you, Core," Yuya said as Core purred.

"Yuya! It's time for breakfast!" Yoko called out to her daughter from downstairs.

"Coming!" Yuya called out and went sliding down a fireman pole that connects the upstairs with the downstairs.

As Yuya was walking towards the kitchen, she heard her mom talking to someone.

"Did you pick up another stray, Mom?" She asked and then stopped when she saw who Yoko was talking to.

"Morning, Sensei!" Sora waved which made Yuya fall on her face, anime style.

"What the hell are you doing here!" Yuya snapped.

"Yuya, be nice to our guest. I saw him wandering around the house and I couldn't help but to give him breakfast," Yoko explained as she placed a plate of pancakes where Yuya would be sitting.

"Mom, you can't just pick people up like that!" Yuya shouted, waving her arms around.

"Is he your apprentice?" Yoko asked, already aware and used to Yuya's outbursts.

"NO!" Yuya yelled before clearing her throat and said in a more calmer tone, "Sora, you can't just say things like that in the house."

"Yeah yeah. It isn't a big deal and your sister's pancakes are delicious. Oh wait, you called her mom right? Sorry, it's just that you look young and beautiful enough to be Sensei's sister," Sora stated.

His compliments repeated in Yoko's mind and she gave him a wide grin.

"All is forgiven! You're such a honest kid like that! You can have more pancakes," Yoko said and grabbed Yuya's plate of pancakes just as she was about to dig in.

"Hey! That's my food!" Yuya snapped.

"Aww thank you!" Sora said, blissfully ignoring Yuya's protest.

He then added on, "what other flavors of syrup do you have? I like chocolate syrup."

"I think we have a lot of chocolate syrup," Yoko assured him.

"GIVE ME BACK MY F*CKING PANCAKES!"

In the back of Yuya's mind, she wonders if Yuichi's anger issues are rubbing off her.

(Later)

After a ton of protests, Yuya finally got her pancakes and after getting ready for school, was walking to there with Yuichi meeting her at the halfway point.

"Is he really at your house?" Yuichi asked, holding his bag over his shoulder.

"Ugh yes! He is still there. I don't know how did he find me!" Yuya complained.

"Sensei!" Speak of the devil...

"And he still calls me that!" Yuya grumbled before the two of them turned around to see Sora waving at them.

"What do you want!" She snapped which took Yuichi by surprise at her tone.

And here I thought I was the one with the issues, he thought.

"Well I am your apprentice and wherever you go, I go," Sora explained as he raced up to them.

"Now when did I make you my apprentice?" Yuya demanded, already done with this sugar addicted kid.

"Since when we met. Come on, Sensei! I saw how you duel and how fascinating Pendulum Summoning is. I want to learn how to do that," Sora told her.

"Listen here you little...look, you'll need Pendulum cards in order to Pendulum summon," Yuya told him.

"Please show me again?" Sora begged, doing puppy dog eyes but as a master of doing puppy dog eyes herself, Yuya refused.

Sora then turned to Yuichi.

"Tell her to show me how to Pendulum Summon," he said.

"Umm, why?" Yuichi asked, not wanting to get dragged into the conversation.

"Well she might do it if her boyfriend asks her," Sora explained.

...

...

"B-Boyfriend?!" Yuichi repeated, blushing.

"Did I get that wrong?" Sora asked, finally reading the room between the two of them.

"YES!" Yuya and Yuichi replied.

"There's no way I would date a crude guy like him! Hell no!" Yuya made an X with her arms and a red tick mark appeared on Yuichi.

He pulled out his fan from who knows where and whacked her with it.

He then stormed off muttering something about why did she have to say it like that? While still blushing.

"Sensei, are you alright?" Sora looked at Yuya who was just lying on the floor dramatically.

When she finally arrived at school, Yuya went straight to class and pulled out a textbook.

She placed it upwards so she can stare at her Pendulum cards without the teacher yelling at her.

I wonder if anyone with Pendulum cards can perform a Pendulum summon? She thought with a sigh.

She knows she just told Sora that but it was mainly without thinking. But as she pondered about it, it definitely seemed to be the case after her duel against Shingo.

Someone must have told him how to use them but who? She thought.

Unbeknownst to her, Sora was up in a tree, spying on her with a pair of binoculars.

"I wonder why Sensei is making a serious face like that? What's up with her?" He muttered.

So throughout the day, Sora continued to be a pest to Yuya.

During a soccer game at P.E, Yuya was about to make a pass to team member when she heard Sora cheering her on from behind a bush which made her lose concentration and tripped over her own feet.

Later at lunch, Yuya was in the middle of eating her sandwich when Sora popped up from behind a trash can to cheer for her, almost making her choke.

In class, Yuya was surprisingly paying attention in class. It was history and the teacher was teaching the history of dueling.

However, when Yuya answered a question correctly, Sora could be heard cheering for her in the back of the class. Apparently no one noticed him being back there.

"AHHHHHH!" Yuya screamed in frustration at the end of the school day.

"How long do you think he'll be like that?" Yuichi asked.

Yuya grumbled something but before she could answer, he stopped her.

"Don't bring that attitude to You Show. Things are rough enough for now. Remember your motto about being a bright and fun entertainer," Yuichi said.

Yuya sighed at this before slapping her cheeks to snap her back to reality.

"You're right! I'm going to switch gears and go into overdrive!" She cheered.

"That's what I like to hear," Yuichi gave her a smile.

They arrived at the You Show school and Yuya pushed the doors open and announced, "Ladies and Gentlemen ack-!"

Wouldn't you know it, Sora was also there.

"You're late, Big Sis," Futoshi told her.

"You shouldn't keep your apprentice waiting," Ayu said.

"Hi," Sora waved and Yuya looked straight up furious.

Syuzo appeared and pulled Yuya aside.

"Is he going to enroll too?" He seemed very excited about a new student.

Yuya pushed him aside and stomped over to Sora.

"For the last time, you are NOT my apprentice!" She snapped.

"You leave me no choice, Sensei," Sora yawned before pulling out a Duel Disk and point it to Yuya.

"I challenge you to a duel so you must show me Pendulum Summoning. It's just so cool and I'm looking forward to seeing it," Sora said.

"Why should I duel you?" Yuya asked.

"Come oooooon!" Sora began to tear up which worked wonders for everyone else.

"Don't you feel bad for him?" Ayu asked.

"Just duel him already," Futoshi said.

"I mean...you could duel him just this once," Yuichi told her.

"Yeah I don't remember training you to be a duelist who runs from a challenge," Syuzo added on.

"Pretty please?" Sora gave Yuya puppy dog eyes again.

Yuya still didn't seem amused and shook her head.

Sora looked down in disappointment and everyone just looked at her.

"..."

"..."

"FINE! Just this once!" Yuya shouted and Sora perked up again, happily.

"But on one condition! If I win, you have to stop following me and calling me Sensei," Yuya told him.

"Sounds lame but I understand. Oh and I win, I get to follow you whenever and call you Sensei," Sora said.

"I WON'T LOSE!" Yuya shouted, determined.

At least she's fired up, Yuichi thought.

Sora and Yuya went to the duel arena with the latter jumping up and down, excited.

"This is going to be so much fun!" Sora cheered while Yuya sweat dropped at this.

"Our two duelists are going to be facing off on the Action field, Wild West Duel Town!" Syuzo said from the speakers and pressed a button.

The arena then shifted scenery to show a Wild West town, a single tumbleweed rolling through the town and a large sign on the entrance that says, Hell River.

Everyone seemed impressed by this...

Well everyone except Sora, who was looking around the field.

"Booo-ring! I dislike boring things," he said.

Syuzo looked at him, surprised and then Sora turned his head where the control room is and asked, "Do you have any interesting Action Fields that you can use?"

"Umm, let me check. Hmmm, this one? No we just used this one. Definitely not this one...aha! I think you might like this one," Syuzo said and pressed a button.

The field changed to be a whole land of sweets and gingerbread houses.

"Awesome! Thank you!" Sora jumped up and down, satisfied with the field.

"D'aww, he's adorable," Syuzo said which Yuya stared at him with disappointment.

"Alright, let's begin our duel!" She exclaimed and the two of them prepared their duel disks.

"Duelists locked in battle!" Yuichi started.

"Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monster," Ayu chanted.

"They storm through this field!" Futoshi cheered while doing a little shake.

"Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of dueling!" Tatsuya shouted.

"ACTION!" All four of them shouted and snapped their fingers together. Action cards got scattered around the field.

"Let's Duel!"

Yuya - 4000 LPS

V.S

Sora - 4000 LPS

"I'll start. I summon Performapal Hip Hippo (ATK: 800. DF: 800) and since I can't attack on the first turn, that's all I'm doing. Over to you!" Yuya started as she hopped on Hip Hippo and rode away.

"Alright, my turn!" Sora drew a card and smiled.

"I activate the continuous spell Toy Vendor. Once per turn, by discarding a card, I get to draw a new one and reveal it," Sora began.

A giant toy vendor machine with balls looking like there's a mystery inside of them appeared. Sora discard a card from his hand and drew a new one.

A gold coin appeared and got inserted into the toy vendor.

"If that card is a level four or lower monster, I can special summon it to the field. Otherwise, it's discarded," Sora explained before looking at the card that he drew.

The toy vendor then rose its arm and a prize rolled out. It opened and poofed out a pink, stuffed bear with wings.

"I special summon Fluffal Bear (ATK: 1200. DF: 800) and since that doesn't count as my normal summon, I can regular summon Fluffal Leo (ATK: 1600. DF: 1200)!" Sora shouted.

A small, yellow lion plush with wings also appeared.

"Huh, since Sora used a continuous spell, he is able to summon two monsters in one turn," Syuzo noted.

"He must be a good duelist. Still, that bear reminds me of something...," Yuichi muttered.

"Oh, Big Bro! I think Yuya once told us that you had a stuffed bear named PuffPuff when you were little and you still have it sitting on a shelf somewhere," Ayu said.

"Yeah, it's really cute," Futoshi added on.

"Wait...Yuya told you that?" Yuichi asked and the two kids nodded.

...

"YUYA YOU B*TCH!"

As Yuya continued to ride on Hip Hippo, she looked at where they were watching the duel.

"What did I do to piss Yuichi off this time?" She wondered.

"Yuya watch out!" Tatsuya called out and Yuya looked in front of her to see a lake of juice in front of her.

Hip Hippo tried to stop but it ran off the edge and both it and Yuya fell into the lake.

They both surfaced and the kids awkwardly chuckled.

"I'll begin my battle phase. Attack Fluffal Leo!" Sora shouted.

His monster raced over and pounced but before the attack could hit, Yuya held up a card and shouted, "I activate the Action Spell, Evasion. Your attack is negated!"

Hip Hippo did a somersault to avoid the attack and Fluffal Leo landed on its paws with a look of disappointment.

"Hey don't dodge! That's unfair!" Sora whined.

"Sorry but this is an Action Duel. It's in the cards for us to dodge attacks," Yuya said with a wink.

"I wonder how did she get an Action Card like that?" Futoshi asked.

"She must have got it from the lake," Tatsuya replied.

"You're right!" Yuya said.

"Wait watch out!" Syuzo, Yuichi and Ayu shouted.

Too late, Hip Hippo and Yuya ran straight into a cake roll but thankfully, they emerged on top.

"Alright fine. Guess I'll attack you with Fluffal Bear!" Sora exclaimed and his monster raced over to attack Yuya's hippo.

"Not on my watch," Yuya held up another Action card.

"She really does have an eye for these things," Yuichi noted.

"I wonder how did she manage to find an Action card in that cake," Syuzo wondered.

"I activate the Action card, Candy Shower!" Yuya shouted.

An orange orb appeared and exploded which caused candy to shower all over the place.

Sora looked at it in awe until he heard some munching noises in front of him and saw that Bear was chowing down to a large pile of candy.

"What the heck! Why are you eating candy instead of fighting?" He asked, waving his arms around.

"Candy Shower switches a monster from attack to defense," Yuya explained, wagging her finger.

"I end my turn. Man, I need to find an Action Card myself," Sora said and looked around, rapidly.

"Then it's my turn," Yuya drew a card before getting out of the cake roll and jumped down to land in cake batter.

She looked up to see Sora on top of Fluffal Leo who was being held up by Fluffal Bear, trying to get an Action card from a house made out of waffle cones.

Hip Hippo, with Yuya on it, dashed towards the house as Sora was about to grab the card from a rooster wind vane when a gust of wind blew it off and it went fluttering down.

"Jump!" Yuya commanded and her hippo leaped in the air high enough for Yuya to grab it.

"Yahoo! Lucky!" Yuya did a peace sign while Sora whined that this was unfair again.

"Hmmm, I got a pretty cool card that I just drew so I think I'll introduce you to what everyone has been waiting for," Yuya announced which everyone perked up at this.

"I set Scale 1 Stargazer Magician (ATK: 1200. DF: 2400) and scale 8 Timegazer Magician (ATK: 1200. DF:600) to set the Pendulum Scale," Yuya called out and Sora grinned with excitement.

"Let's go, Pendulum Summon!" Tatsuya and Futoshi cheered.

"I can now Pendulum Summon monsters from level 2 to 7 at the same time! Swing, Pendulum of the soul! Draw an arc of light across the aether! My monsters are ready to swing into action!" Yuya shouted, the pendulum on her bracelet glowing.

"Appear, Performapal Skeeter Skimmer (ATK: 500. DF: 1600)!"

A skeeter with a top hat appeared.

"Slice and dice, Performapal Sword Fish (ATK: 600. DF: 600)!"

A blue sword fish with an Elvis haircut appeared.

"And now the star of the show, the dragon with the heterochromia eyes! Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon!"

Her Ace has arrived.

"Amazing! Pendulum Summoning is so amazing!" Sora exclaimed, still on the roof.

"I'll continue my turn by using Sword Fish's effect. I can reduce an opponent's monster's attack points by 600. I'll target your Leo!" Yuya exclaimed and multiple copies of Sword Fish went flying over to Fluffal Leo.

1600 —> 1000 ATK

"And now I'll use the Action card that I have. I activate Nanana which increases a monster's attack by 700 until the end of my turn! Performapal Nanana, lend me your strength!" Yuya shouted.

A yellow mascot appeared and surrounded Odd Eyes, increasing his attack.

2500 —> 3200 ATK

"Whoa 3200 whole attack points!" Tatsuya gasped.

"Battle, Odd Eyes! Attack his Leo! Spiral Flame Strike!" Yuya commanded and Odd Eyes charged at Leo before charging up his attack.

He shot out a spiral of flames that destroyed Leo which also knocked Sora off the roof.

Thankfully he landed on a bed of marshmallows but his life points weren't spared.

4000 —> 1800 LPS

"She just landed him 2200 damage! That's what a hot blooded duel should be like! But wait shouldn't Odd Eyes have dealt double that?" Syuzo asked.

"No because it only works on level 5 or higher monster," Tatsuya corrected him.

"Yah, Fluffal Leo is only level 4," Futoshi added on.

"I end my turn so Odd Eye's attack goes back to normal," Yuya stated.

3200 —> 2500 ATK

Sora just kind of laid there on the marshmallows, not moving.

"Is he ok?" Ayu asked.

"Was the last attack too hot blooded?" Syuzo also asked.

"Oi, don't you feel bad for him?" Yuichi asked.

"Hey, you guys wanted me to duel him. Now you want me to take it easy on him? No way, this is a duel," Yuya placed her hands on her hips and glared at them.

Suddenly, laughter could be heard from the marshmallows. It was Sora!

He got up while laughing.

"Wow so that was Pendulum Summoning! It was just as cool as I thought it would be!" Sora exclaimed, happily.

He then drew a card from his deck to signify his turn is up.

"Hey Sensei, it's time for me to show you the full power of my deck," he told her.

"What do you mean?" Yuya asked.

Was he not dueling at full power just now? She thought.

"Try to find out. I activate Toy Vendor again. I'm sure you remember its effect right?" Sora asked as he discarded a card.

"What'll come out, what will it be?" He chanted before drawing.

"I special summon Edge Imp Scissors (ATK: 1200. DF: 800) onto the field!" Sora exclaimed.

Large sharp scissors with an eerie shadow that held violet eyes appeared.

"And then...I activate the spell card, Polymerization!" Sora shouted and placed a card on his disk.

"What? You have that card in your deck?" Yuya cried.

"Yep! I'm going to fuse Edge Imp Scissors and Fluffal Bear together," Sora said before chanting, "Claws of the demon and fangs of the beast, become one and reveal to use your new form!"

"What's going on?" Futoshi asked.

"He's doing a fusion summon! That's where someone fuses two or more monsters together in order to summon a monster from the Extra deck," Tatsuya explained.

A yellow glow came from Sora's Duel disk and a card slipped out which Sora took out.

"I fusion summon! Come forth, horrifying beast that shreds all! Death-Toy Scissors Bear (ATK: 2200. DF: 1800)!" He continued his chant.

A large pink stuffed bear with sharp teeth appeared and  large scissor blades ripped out from the bear's midriff.

"That's a Fusion monster?" Yuichi asked, his eyes widening.

"Big Bro, that monster is scary," Ayu hugged Yuichi who assured her that it'll be ok.

"Fusion Summoning gives me the shivers," Futoshi said, shivering with excitement.

"This is the first time I have actually seen a Fusion Summoning!" Tatsuya gasped.

"I'll show you what happens when I get serious," Sora said with a wide, determined grin.

"Alright, bring it!" Yuya stated, determined.

A/N: finally an update! It's been a while, hasn't it?

I was just putting this off until one day I got sudden motion to write in this. One thing led to another and here's the final product.
