Carly: Cloud, you seem to be upbeat, hearing about the ranking duels to start on the next edition. How are you feeling?

Cloud: How am I feeling? What a STUPID question from a STUPID journalist. Of course I have felt injustice since losing early on in the Duel League Championship tournament. Now granted I have a chance to show that I am a worthy contender despite my place in the rankings. I can beat anyone AND I MEAN ANYONE to be one step closer to contention.

Frost then walks in.

Frost: Anyone? 

Cloud: Yeah, you heard me. ANYONE.

Frost: You claim that you deserve a spot at the top just because you ALSO wield the Sacred Beasts apart from those Cloudians. 

Cloud: Yeah, so what? They're powerful.

Frost: Well, I agree with you about the part on losing early AND wanting to show that my ranking goes beyond my skill. So...

Cloud: So what, you got mopped by the evventual champion. So you're nothing more than a glorified welcoming mat for guys like me to prove our spots.

Frost: There we go. In come the arrogance. Guess what, as early as now, you're already losing the duel. But if you want to prove me wrong. Meet me out there. I've been given clearance for us to duel. So, prove it. Unless your head is stuck up the ass of those cloudian monsters. - walks away -

Cloud was enraged and began to walk away from Carly.

Kaiba: Well at least we get more matches before the main event but right now, this announcement has riled up the duelists and we will see more of this to come. So onto our next duel shall we?

Jack: As those two are about to enter the duel field, well both of them were handed defeat early on in the tournament

Frost: I tune Fishborg Launcher to your Cloudian Posion Cloud and Dupe Frog (1*+3*+2*=6*) to synchro summon, Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier in attack position (WATER/6*/Sea Serpent/Synchro/ATK2300/DEF1400).

Crackdown is destroyed.

Jack: He summoned Brionac! Not good...

Frost: Brionac, destroy one of his facedowns!

Cloud: Cloudian-Sheep Cloud's effect activates as it is destroyed by battle. It special summons 2 Cloudian Tokens (WATER/1*/Fairy/ATK0/DEF0). Both in Defense position.

Frost: General Wayne's effect activates. When it is special summoned, I can add 1 Ice Barrier spell or trap from my deck to the hand. I select, Medallion of the Ice Barrier (Spell Card) to add to hand.

Frost: I'm not finished, I activate a Spell Card, Surface. I can target 1 Level 3 (3*) or lower Fish, Sea Serpent or Aqua monster in my graveyard and special summon it in defense, I select Dupe Frog (WATER/2*/Aqua/ATK100/DEF2000)

Jack: He's gonna synchro summon again!

Frost: I tune up Cryomancer of the Ice barrier with General Wayne of the Ice Barrier and Dupe Frog (2* + 5* + 2* = 9*) to Synchro Summon, Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier (WATER/9*/Dragon/Synchro/ATK2700/DEF2000). 

Jack: He did it....

Joey: That's mad! 2 Dragons?

Kaiba: One of them's actually a Sea Serpent...

Frost: Trishula's effect activates. I can banish 1 card each from my opponent's hand, field and graveyard. On your field, your lone facedown monster will be banished. From the Graveyard, Cloudian-Poison Cloud. From your hand, at random, the third card!

Kaiba: This is what we almost saw in the 1st half of the 1st round. But Cloud was just a spoiler.

Jack: Well we all saw the full wrath on display of the Ice Barrier Synchros. Trishula most of all.

Joey: What a great display of force before the Rank duels begin. 

Kaiba: And the ranking goes like this. Only the top 10 duelists in the ranking are eligible to challenge for the championship. Wins and Losses will be recorded beside the name and the rankings will be displayed for updates. And so far, we have just heard that for the next edition, the following Ranking Duels have been announced

Jack: I will take over. It will be of course, whoever will be the champion, who will always be number 1 in the ranking, will be up against (7) Strike.

Joey: And from earlier, (18) Mahad will be up against (24) Magnus. 

Kaiba: The fight of the Dark Magician wielders.

Kaiba: We also heard this, (13) Vaan to be challenged by (17) Wallace.

Jack: We also got a rematch from the tournament. (4) Odin will be challenged by (5) AK.

Kaiba: Redemption battle. 

Joey: That is not all. After revamping himself, we will see (8) Pat go up against (9) Fenix to secure his spot.

Kaiba: We've seen too many fights in the top 10, we now will see (10) Xavi defend his 10th place in the rank against (11) Draco. 

Jack: As a result of the earlier contest, challenging (15) Crow will be (22) Frost

Joey: And to try to make up for his loss, (19) Wolfe will be challenged by (23) Cloud. 

Kaiba: Wolfe's debut duel after the tournament and now bearing both the beasts and Gladiators. 

Jack: Given how many duels we can fit, the change in rankings and movements will only be shown 2 editions after the rank duels begin. So stay with us, our main event will be next.
