Kaiba: Look at him, with such poise and confidence he marches out. A champion. 

Joey: The man's self made! No mentors, no links!

Jack: May wanna be careful about that part. But I must admit, he can be comparable to a certain King.

Irvine makes it into the middle of the duel field and here he is given a microphone and greeted by the fans in attendance cheering his name. 

Irvine lets it sink in until he finally speaks.

Irvine: Wow! To be honest, I never expected this. You all sure can welcome someone. - crowd cheers - You see, back in the tournament just because I was in the first half of the first round, facing off against Frost, some people doubted if link summoning can get me over the top against someone who uses Ice Barriers. Now I'm not the type to blame my loss on my opponent but maybe due to a bad hand, I won. And as the commentary guys and analysts called it, from one who beat a favorite to becoming THE favorite of the tournament. Now some duelists were actually more favored than I was. You had, AK and the Blue Eyes. Pattou and the Dark Magician, Ancient Gear Golem and we all saw it earlier, Wave Motion Cannon combination. We know full well about the god users in Odin and Vade who will go up in the main event tonight. Also, to my finals opponent, the 2nd in ranking, the Fire King, Blaze. Man, even as some doubted me like Strike did, I was able to pull away with the victory. And my pledge as the inaugural Duel League champion is to be a fighting champion. I know you all see the leaps and bounds my link summoning can do. But I feel, there's more to this deck and I cannot wait for the next challenger and to whoever they may be - raises the championship belt - bring it!

Strike then makes his way to the duel field with fierceness in his eyes.

Kaiba: Who in the? He's not even top 5 in the rankings.

Joey: The man was overlooked and wants to make our champeen here remember

Jack: Well, we shall see if that is indeed the case.

Strike: So you forget about me huh? You forget that ....

Irvine: I'm sorry, but this was a Champion's address. But why was it I don't recall our duel? Oh right, you were one of the other competitors who cannot touch my life points. So, I am guessing here you are wanting to remind me and make an example out of me, that you're indeed this - mockingly says - big warrior - returns to himself - but apparently, you're only careless and luck has only brought you to the quarter finals that time. 

Strike: Oh, so you wanna prove it to me one more time? I did get unlucky but I can prove to you that old is gold and I should be the one wearing that gold.

Irvine: You are entitled to your opinion but I doubt you can beat Vade, let alone, me.

In comes Blaze with a microphone in his hand

Kaiba: Gentlemen, things are beginning to look interesting. 

Joey: Oh yeah, the runner up

Jack: And according to the rules, he is entitled to a rematch.

Blaze: What the hell is with this line jumper? - points at Strike - If anything, if you want a chance at the champion, you have to go through me. But lately, as a god slayer too, I want my shot first at the title next week.

Irvine: Well he does have a point and some standing so...

AK comes out from the other entrance way

Kaiba: Oh, this is surprising

Joey: Oh stow it Kaiba, it's already obvious

Jack: Well Joey, we shall see about that. 

AK: If anything, I deserve a shot at that too. 

Blaze: Is that so you spoiled brat? Well, just because you can throw your weight around because of daddy dearest over at commentary, doesn't mean you get a shot either. 

Strike: Yeah! - at AK - And you lost earlier so back away and back off!

AK: Need I remind you Strike, I am above you in the rankings and I will show you why.

Kaiba then began to step in and from the commentator's area addressed those talking.

Kaiba: Alright I see where this is going. We already have one duel set for next episode with Pattou v. Magnus. Why don't we then have AK v. Strike, the winner will face the champion.

Irvine: Uhh Kaiba, I'm right here you know. 

Kaiba: I left the champion unnamed because next week, we will have the Duel League Championship Tournament Finals rematch between you and Blaze, and it will be for the championship. 

The crowd cheers at the announcement as the four duelists looked at each other and saw what will be in store.

Main Event

Joey: And now, it's time for our main event for this edition 

Jack: Battle of the Nordic/Aesirs v. Sacred Beasts.

Kaiba: God battles. Who can come out victorious? 

Announcer: This next duel is our Maaain Event! First, Odin!

Joey: You sure that's all you can say? He eliminated AK, remember?

Announcer: And his opponent, Vade!

Kaiba: This was the first time we saw a dominated Vade in the finals. And all due to the man who is now our champion.

Joey: We saw the weakness of these god users. No set up, they fold up to try to get them out quick.

Jack: Well, knowing he is up against Nordic Aesirs, this is quite a main event and fantasy match up.

Announcer: Let the duel, begin!

Jack: Knowing how those play, I wouldn't be playing scared.

Odin: 3 cards face down and I summon Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts (LIGHT/4*/Beast/Tuner/ATK1600/DEF1000). I end my turn.

Jack: This is uncharacteristic of Odin or any Nordic Aesir user

Joey: Maybe there's a plan?

Vade draws a card

Vade: I attack Guldfaxe with Zure!

Odin: I activate a Quick Play Spell Card, Forbidden Dress! I target Zure and until the end of this turn, Zure loses 600ATK (Zure, Knight of Dark World ATK1800-> 1200)

Zure is destroyed by Guldfaxe (600 Life Point damage to Vade)

Odin: I set a card and activate a Trap Card, Gleipnir, The Fetters of Fenrir, I can add 1 Nordic Monster from my deck to my hand

Vade: I activate a Continuous Trap Card, Mistake! Neither player can add cards from their Deck except by drawing them. Gleipnir negated!

Kaiba: But wouldn't that be a dual edged sword. He uses Dark Summoning Beast which will be negated by that!

Joey: He got no walls!

Joey: He gave him another monster to control!

Jack: But wait!

Odin: Tyr of the Nordic Champions's effect activates, as there is no other Nordic monster on the field, this card is destroyed.

Joey: One monster left and it's on Odin's side of...

Vade: I activate a Spell Card, Owner's Seal! Return control of all monsters on the field to their owner's.

Kaiba: Cold! He gains back Radian since it came from his hand.

Radian, The Mutlidimensional Kaiju is returned to Vade's side of the field.

Vade: In exchange, Skyblaster monsters I control cannot attack on the turn I activate this effect. But I won't need to because I sacrifice Phantom Skyblaster and the Skyblaster tokens to Summon Slifer the Sky Dragon (DIVINE/10*/Divine-Beast/ATK?/DEF?).

Kaiba: Oh no...

Jack: To see it with my own eyes...

Kaiba: This...is just amazing!

Jack: Owner's Seal sealed the fate of Odin. We all thought that Kaiju being summoned was a mistake, but little did we know, that was all part of the plan.

Joey: Then in came Slifer to end it all.

Kaiba: End it all indeed. What a main event. Thank you all for joining us at home. Next edition, we have quite a few duels ahead.

Jack: That is right, Pattou v. Magnus, then Strike v. AK, then our main event for the Duel League Championship, the tournament final rematch of Irvine v. Blaze.

Kaiba: This will be quite a show to come but for tonight, what a show!
