Prom night- Jacksepticeye

You sighed as the cool air enveloped you body, the door closing and blocking out the music behind you. It was late evening of your Prom Night, everyone dancing in their dresses and suits, having a genuinely good time. Everyone expect for you, you had been left out. You had never really been into dancing all night long or partying, it just seemed pointless to you and that often took a toll on your friendship group who were all the opposite.

Due to your lack of partying/dancing experience your so called 'friends' had shunned you out earlier in the evening, leaving you alone in the corner of the hot and stuffy room. That was why you had made your way outside, into the small court yard the venue had open for your class. No one else was out, leaving you alone to your thoughts still as you made your way to the railings and the far end of the yard, folding your arms over your chest as you did so.

Your (F/C) dress swung around your legs as you walked, your heels clicking along the stand pavement in your steady walking rhythm. Once you reached the railings you tilted your head upwards slightly, your (E/C) eyes staring up at the setting sun. Bitter wind blew around you, causing you to involuntarily shiver, but no way we're you heading back inside just yet. As you got lost in your thoughts a small tear escaped your eye, all the emotion from the past few hours finally catching up to you.

The door behind you opened once more, not really catching your attention as you continued to look at the changing sky. A boy in dark blue suit and tie exited the loud room, ruffling his already tossed green hair slightly. His large rimmed glasses were pushed up his nose and his black shoes were polished to perfection. He allowed his light blue eyes to scan the area until they landed on your lone figure. From his distance he couldn't tell who you were.

Suddenly a small sob left your lips, startling the young man slightly. You brought a hand up to your lips as another sob tried to escape, tears cascading down you face quicker than before, you couldn't stop them. For once being alone seemed like a blessing to you, yourself still unaware of the blue eyed male watching from afar. Your legs gave out, your body crashing to the floor as you continued to cry out all your feeling. The green haired boy moved forward.

Kneeling beside you he gently lifted your face with his left hand, his knuckles tucked carefully under your chin. As your eyes met you both gasped quietly, neither of you having expecting the person in front of you. "(Y/N)?" He stuttered, unsure of what to say anymore.

"Jack." You mumbled back, dropping your gaze away from the popular Irish boy. He had moved to your school a little over a year ago after moving with his family to your hometown. He had instantly become popular amongst everyone, boys and girls alike. There was no denying his good looks or his loud and out going personality, but that didn't mean he was a good guy. You had head countless rumours about the green haired lad and had always swore not to get involved.

He had been in all your classes when you were in school studying, but he never took notice of you and when he did it was always with his best friend and right hand man Mark, who would just put you down and make fun of your intelligence. You pulled your face away from Jack's grip, turning it away from him. However, seconds later he pulled your face back to his gaze, his eyes flicking over your eyes and tear stained face. Mascara running a small bit down your face.

Without a word Jack began whipping the tears off your face with his right hand, his left still holding your face in place so you wouldn't pull away from him again. Silence washed over you both, neither of you looking each other directly in the eyes as the movement continued. Once he was finished Jack let his hands drop for a few seconds before he pulled his blazer off his shoulders and wrapped it around you, the warmth making you feel better as your arms moved to slip into the sleeves.

"Why are you out here crying?" Jack finally asked, shifting his position until he was sat cross legged in front of you. Concern dripped from his lips, something you had never expected from his. You knew rumours weren't always true, maybe you shouldn't judge someone before speaking to them.

"I've been left on my own." You answered honestly, pulling the blazer closer to you as you spoke. "I'm not used to this sort of thing and apparently that doesn't make me a good friend." Jack hummed slightly, his eyes narrowed and aimed towards the door, causing you to turn around and look. No one was there, on lights and moving bodies could be seen further inside. The green haired Irishman jumped up suddenly, holding his hand out for you take.

After a few moments you allowed him to pull you to your feet, your bag gripped tightly in your left hand as your right held Jacks warm left one. He began pulling you inside, his hand holding yours tightly as you made your way through the crowd and towards the table he and his friends were sat at. Instantly you pulled back, not wanting to walk any further towards them. However Jack didn't stop, continuing to pull you over before taking your bag from your hands and placing his on the table where he was once sat.

Everyone looked towards you as you kept your head down, unsure of what to do and what was going on. A slow song began to play over the speakers, the mood calming instantly and couples taking to the dance floor in front of the DJ booth. Jack pulled your hand once more, leading you to the centre of the dance floor as several people, began gathering around the edges. "What are you doing?" You questioned, leaning forward slightly so Jack could hear you over the song.

Placing his right hand on your waist Jack slowly began leading you around the dance floor, your left hand moving to hold his shoulder as you went. Happiness filled your body as the green haired male began spinning you around, a laugh escaping your lips and eyes closed as you giggled. Together you moved all around the dance floor, everyone having moved off and standing to the sides to watch the two of you go, pleasantly surprised to see the pairing.

"I'll taste every moment, and live it out loud, I know this is the time." Jack sung along, pulling you closer as you continued to waltz around the wooden floor. "This is the time, this is the time to be, more than a name or a face in the crowd. I know this is the time, this is the time of my life, time of my life. More than a name or a face in the crowd. This is the time, this is the time of my life. This is the time of my life." As the song came to a close so did your eyes, a small still resting on your lips.

Something warm soon met your lips, a gasp escaping them slightly. Jack pulled you even closer, his own eyes firmly closed as he gently kissed you in the centre of the dance floor. The room erupted into cheers as you pulled away, your eyes opening to be met with a pair of light blue ones. "I think I've just had the time of my life." You whispered, pulling the laughing Irishman into a warm hug.
