No Power- Markiplier (Part 1)

~Mark's P.O.V~

(A/N: Most of the YouTubers mentioned in this are a little Out Of Character so they fit the imagine. Sorry)

A sigh escaped my lips as I stated in the mirror, my reflection looking as nervous as I felt. The Police uniform I had been given fitted me perfectly, but it didn't make me feel as safe as it should. After joining the police force a year ago I hadn't expected to be transferred so quickly, but alas here I was. Devils Cove. There had always been stories about this place, bedtime stories that you wouldn't want to hear before falling into slumber as a small child.

A place where the anything could and did happen. Training was the worse for the stories, everyone sharing ideas about what the place was like. Some saying that Police Officers sent there were never seen again; others mentioning a whole cult with a ruthless leader who destroyed anyone who entered their town. With most awful, and unlikely story, that those who enter Devils Cove never leave. But that couldn't be true, from what I had seen after moving in only two days earlier it was nice town, although I was yet to meet any locals.

With one final sigh I grabbed my car keys and left the house, locking the door behind me. As I gaze out onto the street I noticed a group of three people all stood beside a pretty beat up car, baseball bats in two of the hooded figures hands. Seconds later another figure turned up, an oldish woman with greying hair and kind features. Her eyes widened at the sight of what I could guess was her car, her hands coming up to her hair and tugging frantically.

Rushing over I took note of the stance of the three hooded people. None of them looked fazed by the woman's distress, the pair with baseball bats seemingly enjoying her panicked state. "Hey!" I exclaimed, catching the attention of the single law breaker without a weapon. From under the hood a pair of (E/C) stared at me, an almost soulless gaze. "Just what do you think you're doing?"

"Newbie." One of the armed figures spoke, the voice noticeably male.

"Oh, fresh meat." The seconded armed criminal added, his voice also male. Both men sounded distinctly British, surprising me quiet a bit. Without a word the (E/C) eyed figure slipped their hand down the first males arm, taking the bat from his grasp and swinging at me before I could react. The wood slapped harshly against my temple, sending me sprawling to the ground. A frantic voice sounded over me, the greying woman hovering over me for a few seconds before scurrying away.

"How about meeting your fellow Officers before trying to enforce anything?" Whispered a female voice near my ear before the trio walked away from me with their heads held high, the woman in the centre with the bat slung over her shoulders, her hands gripping either end of it. Shaking away the dizziness she had inflicted I stumbled towards my car, already taking the hint as to not to follow them. After sitting for a few moments I turned my key and started the engine, driving quickly towards the station so I could find out what the hell had just happened.

When I finally reached the police station, the biggest building I had seen on the drive, I jumped out of my vehicle and hurried inside. Instantly I bumped into man who was slightly smaller than me with bright green hair. In his hands he held a mug of coffee and a smile presented itself onto his face when he looked up and saw me. "Ah Officer Fischbach! It's nice to finally meet you, I'm Officer McLoughlin but you can call me Jack!" An Irish accent was weaved with his words.

"Then please call me Mark." I replied with my own smile.

"Great! Let's meet the rest of the force shall we!" He lead me into a room where three other men sat. "That's Officer Kjellberg."

"Felix or Pewds will do fine."

"Officer Barnes."

"Wade is good."

"And Officer Muyskens."

"Please call me Bob."

"And this is Officer Fischbach, also known as Mark!"

"There's only five of us? How are we supposed to keep this place together with only five of us?" My questioned earned raised eyebrows from all four men.

"You haven't been told, have you?" Wade asked, shaking his head slightly as he slouched in his chair slightly.

"We don't keep this place together Mark." Bob added, adjusting his glasses slightly as he looked at the obviously old computer. "We can't keep this place together, not with her running around."

"Her?" My mind raced in confusion, what were they going on about? Did they not do there jobs? Surely they wouldn't be scared of one person, right?

"(Y/N) (Y/L/N)." Felix answered. "When she's out an about there's no hope for anyone."

"How about you take a seat and we'll fill you in on what we know okay?" Jack suggested, leading me to a spare seat and watching as a let my body drop heavily. The stories, were they true? "In this, town, the citizens are split into three categories so to speak."

"The cops." Wade piped in.

"The citizens." Felix added.

"And the cult." My heart almost stopped at Bobs contribution.

"W-what?"

"What do they teach you before sending you idiots here?!" Jack's voice rose slightly, his hands being thrown into the air. "I swear it gets worse every time a new one comes. And yes, before you ask there had been others before you, sent to join us. But they all went home in a wooden box and a letter of condolence from the four of us. Killed while out trying to do what you think you can do, I can already see it in your eyes."

"No one can change this place Mark, no one had survived for more than a week when they've tried." Felix's voice sounded washed out as the sound of my own heart invaded my ears. I had been sent to my death.

"No you haven't." Wade chuckled, walking over and slapping my shoulders. "Just stick with us, listen to the advice we give you and you'll be great!"
