ARJUN POV:

Can it be because I haven't given her a proper proposal?

May be because I haven't popped out the big question? About getting married to her?

Is it because am I urging her? Am I nippy?

But heck only 5 days more and sixth day is her wedding but I didn't even plan anything to stop it or discuss the same with her just because i don't want to rush her!!

Is she regretting our kisses? nah that cannot be!! She just kissed me good bye

Thousand thoughts and her bland eyes were gnawing my brains. No amount of pressure to my sense was enough to ebb myself out of her house gates. I just cannot able to leave her here all alone when her brain is nagging her on some petty issue. Must be petty

After irking myself for 1 hour and 10 minutes, I locked my car deciding to confront and comfort her by all means on what is troubling her. Passing a quick glance to the watch man who is in his own world of dreams, I made my way towards the door which is securely latched inside. After no response for couple of knocks and hootcalls for her I raised my hand towards doorbell. On another thought I sprang out from doorway and walked towards the backside of her house from where I can see her room window in first floor. I don't want to disturb her sleep, if at all she has got some sleep after lamenting her mind. I looked up to see the piping system and started to make my way to her room through it.

I know! I know!! This is insanely ridiculous. But I say when you fall in love and that too irrevocably it is okay to do some insane things.

Never in my life had I thought I would take up this way to reach any rooms. After a trial of 6 times I landed myself in the ramp which was near to her room window. I sauntered into her room not to appal her.The sight before me made me feel that I haven't done wrong in climbing the pipe to reach her room. There stood my Chand before an easel, palette in hand deep engrossed in painting me.

Isn't it me in the frame? Oh my!!! Is she painting me?

Of course yes!! can't you see you dumb head my brain did the job of mocking me.

When I said she will be best in everything, I meant it .My Chand is so keen in proving me veracious. I knew nothing about paintings and its intricate ideas but when I see something beautiful I know its worth, just like the girl standing before me. A sudden surge of pride and respect for her grew in my heart for what she is and made me rue on my squalid thoughts. Days back I thought she is nothing but another rich girl surviving on that perv's money.She is nothing like I thought, she is trying to find her own self.

She was so involved with painting that she is oblivious to someone watching her in a closed bedroom of hers. I decided to let her know my presence when her voice startled me

"Oi Handsome, why are you louring at me like that?" she asked trying to maintain a straight voice, but I could see the curve of her lips from her side profile.

What the eff ?How come she knew I was here ogling at her ?

Before I could speak out she was moving close to the canvas in which my mirror image was there and repeated "Say me nah Buddhu? Why do you lour at me?"

So madam is busy talking with my image when  I am all available for her.

"Mr.Charmer what have you to done to me? The day I met you I knew that there is going to be a history between us. But see, am being a zany girl, talking to your image but you are busy sleeping in your penthouse. Tch tch tch what am I going to do with such an idiot? I was all dull today, you should have cooed me to let my worry out but sir is busy acting like giving time to me. Buddhu, if you are now before my eyes I would bite you hard to punish " she was going on and on with my portrait that I could not help chuckle at her naivety.

Oh my sweetheart

I walked to where she stood and hugged her from behind making her let out a shriek. She was startled and turned in my arms with her mouth wide-open.

I planted a sound kiss on her cheeks seeing her shocked face "Baby any idea to close your open mouth or should I help?" I asked eyeing her lips and that did the magic

"Ar Ar Arjun How come you are here?" she could not let herself believe that I was there before her.

"Hmmmm let's say your charmer oh no your Budhhu has come to get punished by you. So this cheek or this one "I swayed my face teasing her

"What?" she asked getting comfortable in my arms.

"You said you want to bite me right? So which cheek Basanti ? I asked ,making her go russet.

"Arjunnn "drawling my name she hid her face in my chest.

She looked more in peace now, just like my Chand.

"So seems my Basanti is okay now? What did the magic? Is it her Arjun?" I asked hoping she would say yes.

I so wanted to hear her say that I gave her peace that my presence can make her life smile

She was playing with the button of my shirt and said "I am okay because something happened that I so wished for "she said pushing me in abyss by her words. Before I could let her words sink in she continued saying "but am happy because of you "

Her words had a desired effect in me, she looked up and gave a wide smile before puckering her lips into a kiss.

She pulled me towards the bed, I sat against the headboard stretching my legs, while she sat between my legs and took my hands to wrap around her.

"How did you come here Arjun and why ?" she asked with a smile that has never left her from the moment her eyes landed on me.

"I thought you would say me what was bothering you eventually but not getting any answers I could not help myself to stay away from you so I contemplated whether to see you or leave the house after you bid me bye. After waiting for some time I decided to meet you, then recalled myself from disturbing your sleep so made my way through your window." I aid giggling thinking how come I reached her room safe without any damage.

Her mouth wide open, eyes dilated she gave me you are unbelievable look.

"Basanti my offer is still on "I said making her go crimson.

God she blushes too much whenever I talk about kissing her, and when I do it she turns into different shades of red urging to do that often.

"What would have happened if you had fallen?" she asked coming out of trance

"Nah now stop your questionnaire I got many things to talk and you are going to answer all my questions being a good girl" I said letting my lunula dance across her hand which is enriched in maroon shade of mehendi. I so wished to see her hands hours back but her bland face made me forget to fancy her hands.

She let herself relaxed along my posture and hmmed.

"Were you upset because I haven't given you a proper proposal? " I asked my first question.

She simpered and answered in an instant "Nah Buddhu I know you love me and you know I love you so what's with proposal and all. I don't believe in fancy dates and bouquets Arjun. I believe in you ,I belive in us .I just want your memories and not some gala proposal.So don't even dare to think such useless thoughts "

Oh that's a shocker!!She is different from others.When all these days i though girls are goner for bouquets and fancy dates,here my sweet Basanti wants memories to make.

I placed a kiss on her forehead and asked "Am I urging you? Am I nippy?"

"From where are you getting such crazy thoughts Mr.Charmer? As far your question no you are not nippy neither urging me. I so want this us just like you want Arjun"

Her answer just relived me and made me feel light at heart so I stated my next one"Then why were you worried?"

"I was expecting something when I didn't get any positive signs I become flustered "she was talking in riddles.

"And what was that?"

"Welll.. That is something you will get to know latter" she said trying hard to squirm away from my hold

"No squirming stay where you are " I gave a mock glare and she rested herself once again in my arms twisting her lips.

Girlie you are not doing me any help being this cute, with our close proximity and to top blame my stupid male hormone. I mentally chided her

I made my mind to let that go and concentrate on my main question.

"I haven't popped out the big question? About getting married to you? We have only 5 days more and sixth day is your wedding but I didn't even plan anything to stop it or discuss the same with you just because i don't want to rush you Basanti!!"

Now she chuckled loudly making me glare at her. "Believe me Arjun , you don't have to pop the question because you have no routes to escape from me. You are tied forever with me. And as far wedding is concerned leave it to me"

She spoke so coolly making me wonder what she is having up her sleeves. But when she is so confident and happy I don't want to scramble the mood so thought to lighten up the situation.

"What were you doing when I landed in your room?" my voice was laden with mischief now that I got my most questions clarified.

"I was painting your image and talking with you "she replied in the same way as I posed my question.

"And when i am here what is the use of my portrait?" i gave a cocky grin an she elbowed me replying "you are not there with me 24/7 so to cover the time you are not with me i use to paint you"

I was amazed by her sweet answer "Is this the first painting on me?"

"Nope.I have much more already painted" she said popping the 'p'

"Well I am going to take that back to my home when I go" I said nuzzling her neck.

"And why is that?" her meek voice queried back because of the hassle am creating in her senses

"Because that is mine "and in an instant she said "but you are mine so officially the portrait is mine too" she retaliated in an innocent tone and that undid my patience. I crashed my lips on hers.

Damn her naivety and her cuteness

Even 2 hours later am unable to slip my gaze from her angelic face, which is deep covered in a peace sleep. After myriad of kisses shared she drifted into sleep in my arms. I took her mehendi clad arms and planted a kiss on her palms. The whiff of the henna with her own lime essence made me lose my senses. Before I could lose my last shred of control, I place a haste kiss on her crown, wrote a note and scurried away from her room.

This night is going to be ever etched in my memory. Our own twilight date!!!

A/N:

OH yeah full on Arjun and Chandini!!How was it?Good/Bad?

Initially i decided to have this "twilight date" with previous update but then that was already 2.8K words and dragging may bore you!!! So decided not to bore you i have rewritten this part and posted this one!!!

Thanks for all your lovely comments and PM's on knowing the story is about to end.So few clarifications.

* I am not gonna rush the story, i have it planned from start till end,each and every scene- so we will get proper closure(a happy ending )

*Yup!! I Said 10 chapters at max but again that is just a rough estimate it may be even more .That entirely depends on how lengthy i write the forthcoming chapters.Usually my update will have minimum of 2k words so i may take another couple of chapters to complete the story

*I remember am yet to give prologue but that was planned to come at the end,so another 4-5 updates,you will get to read prologue

*And for those who were confused how come Pradeep-Chandini marriage is planned in next 6 days,remember in GAME ON and IT's A DATE update Chandini's marriage date would have been discussed.
