I was really worried, what if someone took adventage of Johns' absence to attack us, I had a bad feeling about it, but I needed to forget, I didn't to worry about something like that since we have guards protecting us 24/7 .

I decided to bake some cupcakes, to help me forget, I have binge-watched Netflix series and read some books.

I really missed John, even though he had left for like a day, but I couldn't imagine my life without him, I didn't know how I went from hating him to falling in love with him, he is my everything.

Johns' POV:

I thought that the old me was gone, I thought that I was done being that cold monster I was back then, but when Ellie was hit, I wanted to destroy and kill every single person that was involved, or got in the way. She made me a decent person, but for her and the baby I'll do everything to keep them safe.

I was boiling out of rage, and I couldn't cool down until I get my hands around them.

Two weeks have passed, I hardly spoke to Ellie, if I heard her voice, or if she would to tell me to come back, I would become weak. Everytime I come close to find out who did this, it is like we went a 100 steps back, I got really angry over it. I was starting to think that we have a rat, and someone is giving them the informations.

Ellies' POV:

Today I have a doctors' appointement, to check if everything is okay with baby, I asked my mom to come with me, I was used to John going with me, but since he is not here, I thought bringing my mom with me could help me relax.

We arrived to the hospital, we were waiting in the lounge area,

"Mrs Salvatore, are you ready?"the doctor asked

We went to the room, she started checking if everything is okay with baby

"Mrs Salvatore, the baby is perfect, but you gained a lot of weight this month, I'm scared that you'll diabetes... you should drink more water and start walking, and you shouldn't stress about anything."

"Doctor, it is just that my husband left the country, he have some work stuff to do, and this while I started eating a lot of sweets."I responded

"That must be way, well you need to take good care of yourself, and I will see you in a month or so."

We were leaving the hospital, we were waiting for one of the guards to pick us up, I felt the sudden urge to use the bathroom,

"Mom, when they arrive get in the car, don't wait for me here, I will come to you."

She nodded.

When I got back, I searched for them, in  the parking, they where nowhere to be found, I called her and she didn't answer, I really got worried.

I called on of the guards to pick me up, and when I went home she wasn't there.
