Before Bela could complete her sentence, a loud growl took away our attention.

Gracious who was sleeping peacefully in my pant pocket too woke up with the loud sound and quickly climbed to my shoulder.

we kept looking here and there for the source of the uncanny obscure sound when a loud splash cut the tree into two, which was just beside us.

I looked up to see a bird kind of thing soaring, taking the rounds above our head.

only after a few minutes of silence, he landed on a tree in front of us.

I looked towards Bela who was standing scrupulously.

my gaze again traveled upon the weird-looking bird, before I could understand anything he crossed his hands around his chest , closed his eyes, and the next second he was standing with sharp sword in his hand left hand.

Too numb to react, I just nodded. Bela examined my reaction and without wasting a second took my hand in hers and ran, without looking back.

While she was focussing on running, I turned behind and saw the ultra weird rangrez chasing us with super speed.

I closed my eyes and tried to make him disappear, when I opened my eyes and followed his posture he stood there raising his sword to whack me.

His slash was about to cut me into two when I felt I was glided along.

I saw bela was running fastly dragging me along.

She held me such that I was getting dragged backwards. My front was facing the animal.

He tried to splash me mutiple times but every time his sword landed on the ground just near my leg. All because bela was running fastly.If not on Bela he would have killed me by then. In a matter of few seconds, something weird happened and we were in a small space like a cave.

I glanced at Bela, she was panting heavily. While gracious sat on shoulder horrified of what happened earlier.

I leaned on the cave wall breathing heavily, trying to register the possibilities of what would have happened if Bela had left me with that wild animal. It must have been a party for him.

When I opened my eyes I saw bela glaring at me.

I tried to smile at her but the corner of my lips moved downwards instead of rising upwards.

"What the hell you were trying to do? " she whisper yelled being dangerously close to me.

" Just shut up" She was raging.

I could see the imaginary horns peeking out of her head.

She looked cute. Ah! shit! wrong timing.

She glared at me again

"What did you thought? You could handle that vicious animal alone? What if he had sliced you up? " She grumbled questioning my sense.

I looked at gracious who shook her head left to right and sat quietly looking at bela.

I glanced at her scared, expecting some more scolding for my cockamamie attempt of bravery but her eyes were turning glassy.

"Bela.. "
I whispered.

I tried to touch her but she flinched back.

I turned my gaze to the ground.

"you are the most fallible human .frenzied idiot" I heard her muttering under her breath but didn't dare to look up at her.

After a long silence, she spoke up "this is a hollow space between a tree. We were successful in fooling that thing, we can't hide here for long as he will be searching for us "

I just nodded, with the corner of my eye I saw gracious too nodding her head as if understanding everything.

Or maybe she really understood everything. Anything can happen in this magic world.

"I needed some peace to perform the magic. We will just be here till the time I calm my mind and you don't try to be over smart " She finished fuming pointing particularly towards me putting extra weight on 'you' and 'over smart'.

Before I could reply she came closer and covered my mouth with her palm.

When I looked at her she signed me not to speak.
Listening carefully, I heard a strong whack .as if something was landing cutting the air.

Means a bird landed, means that animal landed.

My eyes grew wide as saucers.

Gracious travelled down and hid in my pocket.

As the space was really small, bela was almost sitting in my lap.
Her face very much close to me, her hot breath fanning on my face. Proximity was doing wonders in my stomach.
Sitting so close was making us both nervous.

Being aware of the vehement proximity she slowly withdrew her hands back, but then our lips were inches apart. Making the surroundings unusually hot.

Her doe eyes, her long lashes blinking every now and then, innocent face which was put just inches away from mine, and her sitting so close to me, All of that was creating havoc inside me. I have never been this close to any female species before. I was already nervous around her and this way making me more nervous. just not me it was making her nervous as well.

Probably I am seeing her nervous for the first time. I kept looking in her eyes and she in mine. her eyes have always fascinated me. Deep as the ocean, beautiful as deer. I always knew she was hiding a great secret in her eyes.

We suddenly heard the foot steps nearing.

Growling loudly he thrashed the top of the hollow tree in which we were hiding. the top of the tree fell down, unraveling us.

Without wasting a minute bela stood up with a sword in her hand which I didn't knew when she came up with.

He swung his sword towards bela but she defended like a trained fighter.

She threw him back with force.

Not wanting to back off he lifted himself up in the air and tiltled himself towards bela for a head on collision, bela rolled back swinging her sword.it fumed him more, seemed like he didn't like his attack to go wasted. He glared at Bela with fervor hate. Raging like a bull, he lifted his sword, with lightning speed he came towards bela, but bela lifted herself up on time. With the uexpected move of hers, he crossed Bela and missed the hit while Bela reached behind him, kicked him, and then whacked him.

His perilous eyes raged with fire, he encircled Bela in his tail and threw her.

"Bela" I screamed horrified and agitated.
