Damian's POV

Y/N was finishing getting ready when she brought her necklace over to me.

"Can you help me with this? My shoulder is bothering me today," she said wincing in a bit of pain.

"Remind me to give you a massage later," I said taking the necklace as I kissed her cheek as she turned around and I put the necklace around her neck. Her hair was already lifted as she wore her hair in a french twist. I fasten the clasp of her necklace as she stepped forward and turns to me.

"How do I look?" she asked as she smiled. She wore that pretty royal purple dress with cap sleeves, scoop neck and the skirt hit just above her knee, nude heels, her favorite necklace from her parents, the new earrings she bought in Minneapolis and the engagement ring.

"Breathtaking," I said making her blush and look away from me.

"Luis," she said smiling.

"You asked. I answered," I said hooking her chin and turning her to face me. I peck her lips "Ready?"

She took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

"I think so," she said as I took her hand and laced our fingers before bringing her hand to my lips and kissing it.

"Remember I am at your side," I said as we walked to the door. She grabbed her clutch and I grabbed my wallet, phone and keys. She let out a very nervous laugh before taking a few deep breaths as I open the door "Y/N relax."

She looks at me. Her eyes soften as soon as her eyes met mine and I could see the tension in them dissipate almost immediately.

"Okay," she said "And don't let me forget about my massage later."

I chuckled as I pulled the door close "I promise I won't forget," I said kissing her temple as we walked to the elevator bays.

The Restaurant.....

Y/N and I walked into the fancy Italian restaurant we were the first to arrive. My family wasn't far behind as I had gotten a text from my Mom saying they were three minutes out.

Y/N had nervous energy as we waited for the maître d'

"Phew," exhaled y/n.

"Amor. Relax. I don't need my family meeting you while I am giving you CPR," I said as I cupped her face in my hands "Just breath. They're going to love you. I promise. I think they already do," I half smile.

She smiled as she rest her hands on my wrists "You're right. I just well I just never met my fiancé's family before," she said making me laugh as I kissed her forehead as the door behind us opened and in walked my family. I quickly lace my fingers with y/n's giving it a light squeeze.

"Luis," said my Pops.

"Pops," I said as I bring y/n to my side "Everyone I would like you to formally meet y/n y/l/n," I smile down at her and she's looking at me for reassurance and calming. I wink at her.

Pops didn't hesitate he wrapped y/n in a warm hug and I see the tension melt away. Mom was next and hugged y/n. Followed by Manuel, Gina, Lorenzo and Rachel.

Rachel is first to notice y/n's hand as she took it "Oh!" she said looking at me and then y/n "Welcome to the family," she embraced both of us in a hug.

Mom looked at me and then y/n before hugging her again "Bienvenida a la familia mi hija," she said. (Welcome to the family my daughter.)

"Gracias señora Martínez. Estoy muy feliz de unirme a tu familia.," said y/n effortlessly making me smile. She was coming along so well with her Spanish even in only four months. (Thank you Mrs. Martinez. I'm very happy to be joining your family.)

Mom smiled at me pulling y/n into a side hug.

"She's learning Spanish?"

"Sì mamá," I said "Been practicing with her," I smile as I took y/n's hand as the matre 'd finally came over to the station "Martinez party of eight for eight." The maître d' took us to a large table in the corner of a large dining area. I held the seat out for y/n, as my Pops held one for my Mom and my brothers held out one for their spouses.

We sat as we all grabbed our menus Come What May by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor came on and y/n was singing it softly without even realizing it making me smile to myself as it meant she was comfortable. Pops was the next to notice and he looks at me. I gave him the shhhhh with my finger.

"Y/N are you singing?" asked Rachel glancing over her menu. Y/N blushed and lowered her menu.

"Sorry," she said.

"Don't be. You have a lovely voice," she smiles.

"I do?" squeaks y/n before clearing her throat "I mean I do?"

Rachel smiled at her and nods "Yeah," she said "Light and airy," she gave me a smile "Luis. I see why you're in love with her."

I blush and smile before taking y/n's hand in mine "It's not hard to fall in love with her," I said. As y/n blushed and leaned in kissing my cheek.

"Same goes for you Luis," she said.

"So how did you propose?" asked Lorenzo.

"Well. Y/N wasn't suppose to meet back up with me until yesterday here in Cleveland. But Demi bought her a ticket and surprised me in Minneapolis. I couldn't wait any longer and I proposed the moment we got back to my hotel room." Okay so I may have left out the fact that we were well on our way to making love but I didn't want to share that tidbit with my parents sitting right there "And y/n luckily said yes," I squeeze her hand as she looks at me lovingly.

"I would have done backflips if I could have," smiled y/n "but I would have probably injured myself," she laughed lightly.

"You're not that clumsy," I smile.

"Luis. You saw for yourself I was walking a straight line and still tripped over my feet when Demi and I were walking to catering on Monday."

"Oh so the floors hate you too," said Gina "They hate me too," she gave a warm smile to y/n.

"Floors, walls, tables you know basically anything inanimate hates me," laughed y/n "Don't know why. I never did anything to them."

The entire table laughed. She was fitting so well into my family. Like a glove to a hand.

"Told you there was nothing to worry about," I said leaning over to y/n as we continue to look at the menus. She smiled as she touched her menu to mine before leaning in and kissing me.

"I love your family so much Cariño. They're fantastic," she said with a smile.

"I think the feeling is mutual Amor," I said with a warm smile at her.

"It is," said Mom making y/n and me blush before giggling at each other.

"I forgot to tell you mamá has bionic hearing," I said.

"That I do," she said.

"Mrs. Martinez. Luis tells me you love the song When You Say Nothing At All," said y/n. Mom's eyes light up.

"It's one of my favorites," she said.

"Y/N's too," I said.

Mom's face got even brighter as she pats my cheek "You picked a good girl Luis," she said making me blush.

"Thank you Mrs. Martinez," said y/n as Mom held up a hand.

"Please call me mamá," she smiled reaching over me and grabbing y/n's hand "y/n."

"Okay mamá," she said blushing deeply.

The dinner is going better than I expected. We have small talk before we enjoy a nice Italian dinner, as it is one of y/n's favorites. At the end of the night Pops taps his glass of wine before standing.

"I would like to propose a toast," he said holding up his wine glass and we all follow suit "To familia," he smiled before turning to y/n and me "And to y/n. I have never seen my son so happy before with someone. He has been on cloud nine since he met you and I do not think he is coming down," he smiled.

"I don't ever plan on coming down," I said kissing the side of y/n's head.

Pops continues "And to my son," he said "I am happy knowing you have someone who loves you as big as the sky and all the stars in it. She is definitely the one who danced away with your heart," y/n wipes away tears "No matter what comes you two will face it together. Y/N welcome to the family and Luis and y/n here is to many years of love, laughter and joy."

We all clink glasses and took a drink before I stood smoothing my suit jacket as I raised my glass "I would like to propose a toast of mine own," I said "First to my family. Thank you for always being there for me. For guiding me and supporting me. For giving me the courage to do what I have done for the past twenty years," I said "And lastly but certainly not last in my heart," I turn to y/n "Y/N. What can I say that I haven't already said. I love you more than all the stars in the sky and all the words in the universe. You complete me and my puzzle. I am so looking forward to spending forever with you. To y/n," I smile as y/n's tears fell.

"Luis," she whispered as she was choked up as she stood and I bent to her and kissed her before we clink glasses.

Y/N turned to the family as I wrap an arm around her waist "I would like to say something," she took a deep breath "Before I met Luis. I never thought I could be loved in this way. I always thought love was something that had to be forced because I loved freely but the man never reciprocated it. But with Luis. It's different," she looks at me "you have given me a love that I never knew was possible," over the loud speakers I Promise You (With Everything I Am) by Backstreet Boys began "and for that I will always be grateful. You make loving you so easy. I will love you with every beat of my heart and every breath I take. I can't wait to share my forever with you and I can't imagine what it has in store but with you at my side I am ready for that ride. Te amo Luis. Y aquí va nuestro para siempre," she said as her tears fell. (I love you Luis. And here is to our forever.)

I wipe away the tears before I kiss her "Yo también te amo y/n. De aquí a siempre," I said. (I love you too y/n. From here to forever.)

After finishing up we said our goodbyes and y/n made plans with my Mom and sister in laws for the next day as I had media most of the day and was going to busy from sun up to sun down so they were going to have a girls day with just them and Esmeralda, who had been with Rachel's mom back at the hotel during the dinner as Rachel's mom and step dad lived in Cleveland.
