"No problem Baby. I worked up an appetite this morning so this should easily fill my belly," she said pours milk into the roux.

"Funny. I worked up an appetite too," I chuckled as I grabbed a slice of green pepper and walked over to her "Babe?" I offered her the slice and she gladly excepted it as she loves to just snack on green peppers.

"Thanks Luis. Luis?" she said "While I got you here. Mind stirring while I get the cheese and crumbled sausage from the fridge?"

"Of course," I said taking the whisk "Y/N?" I said.

"Hmm?" she said looking at me as she opened the fridge.

"You remember you have a doctor appointment at the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow," I said looking at her as I stir the gravy. Her face pales "But I am going to be with you. Remember?"

"I-I-I do," she swallowed hard "I'm scared."

I felt my heart hurt for her "Honey. I know but I would much rather know if we can get that shoulder fixed or not. I can't stand seeing you in so much pain," I said as she took the whisk. She wouldn't look at me and I knew it was because she's crying. I hooked her chin with my finger and turned her head to me. My heart broke as her eyes were full of tears "Baby. I promise if you need surgery. I am taking off. I already talked to Paul about it. I will have the option of taking a few weeks off to be home with you. And I will make sure you have whatever you need or want," I held her chin in my hand wiping her tears away with the side of my thumb "Okay?"

She nodded lightly "I know. But the thought of going under anesthesia and the knife scares the hell out of me. I-I-I just have this image of me going under and not," I put a finger on her lips.

"Do not say that. Don't even think that. If you need surgery and that's a big IF you're going to be back with me and in my arms. When you wake up I will be the first thing you see," I said kissing her forehead as she turned her attention to the gravy "Babe?"

"I heard you Luis," she said as she throws the sausage into the gravy and the cheese "I'm still scared. I can't help it."

I sighed and leaned against the counter next to the stove "I know that," I said as I crossed my arms "You have a right to be scared. But I hope you know no matter how you feel. You aren't going to go through this alone. Not when you have me."

Y/N looks at me teary eyed "Luis," she said as she shut off the gravy and threw her arms around my torso and sobbed into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her. Holding her and rubbing her back.

"I know Baby," I said kissing the top of her head.

"I'm sorry for being a big baby," she said pulling from our hug and wiping her eyes. I gave her a warm smile as I placed my hand on her cheek and rubbed her cheek with the side of my thumb.

"You are not a big baby," I said leaning in to kiss her lips "How about we ask Demi and Fergal to come along too. That way you have a big support system?"

"We can't put them out like that," she said.

I gave her a look before grabbing my phone and texting our group chat.

Y/N has an appointment tomorrow
at the orthopedics surgeon. She's scared.
She could use your support.

I hit send and y/n looks at her phone. She sighed but before she can say anything. Fergal texts.
