Chapter Seven

Damian's POV

I am getting ready to head over to get y/n for our dinner date. I was lucky enough to get reservations at a French restaurant y/n had said she had heard about in town. I had stayed in the same exact shirt as this afternoon. Only changing to a red dinner jacket and matching pants. Unlike this afternoon I didn't text this outfit to Demi or anyone for that matter. I was confident that this was the perfect outfit.

I checked my watch and it was time to go get y/n. I took a deep breath and exited my room. I stride over to y/n's room and knock. It wasn't a second later that y/n opened the door and my mouth dropped. She wore a black cocktail dress that hugged her in all the right spots.

"Guau. Te ves increíble," I said "Wow. You look amazing."

"You look pretty incredíble yourself," she said stumbling over the Spanish word.

"Decent try," I said "At least you have another word besides Papi."

"But I like calling you Papi,"she said with a smirk.

"And I don't mind hearing you call me Papi," I said with a wink.

She playfully punched my arm "Stop. You're making me blush," she said.

"Ready?" I asked offering her my arm.

"I am," she said excepting it. We walk to the elevator bays. Waiting on an elevator seemed like an eternity. I wanted to start this date. I wanted to wine and dine this beautiful creature to my left. She had no idea what I had in store for tonight. The ding tells us a elevator was about to open. The one to my right opens and we walk onto it. The doors close and there is a cheesy muzak version of Love on A Elevator by Aerosmith making y/n giggle quietly beside me.

"What?" I asked.

She blushes lightly before looking up at me "I found out what this song was about from a Backstreet Boy," she said.

I looked at y/n absolutely confused "Pardon?" I asked.

"Let me explain a bit better. I was watching a show on VH1 back in the early two thousands. Something like Best of Eighties songs music or something along those lines. Might of been Nineties . I don't really remember," she said "Anyway. AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys happen to be one of the panelist and he was talking about this song," she pointed to the ceiling where the speaker was "and he told what the song meant. I was mortified especially since I was watching the show with my mom."

I laughed "Yeah. I can see how that would be awkward," I said.

She tilts her head studying me "Did you think I had love on an elevator with a Backstreet Boy?" she giggles.

"Well," I blushed "I- well. Um," I was stuttering because well she had me dead to rights "Yes."

She laughed "Only in my dreams," she said "And well now. I am glad it was," she bit her lip "I have heard stories about who I was absolutely gaga over from that group."

"It wasn't AJ?" I asked.

"No. I saw AJ as that cool older brother. You know. Who would be fun but also protect you tooth and nail. No. I was in love. I mean madly, head over heels in love with Nick Carter."

I cringed as I had heard the stories too "Oh. Yeah. Yikes," I said "I heard those stories too. Sad. Really and truly," The elevator dings and the doors open "mi amor," I said gesturing to the open door and we walked off the elevator. We head to the exit and....

"Luis?! Is that for us?!" she asked seeing a limo and driver waiting for us.

"Yes it is," I said.

Her reaction was cute as she let go of my arm and walked to the limo as the driver opens the door. She ducked her head into the back "Woah!" she said as I came behind her and she ducked into the car. She was sitting on one of the longer seats. Her mouth opened slightly as she looked around "I can't believe you got a limo!" she looks at me.

"Hey. I want to wine and dine you princesa ," She blushed as I grabbed the two champagne flutes and the bottle of champagne "Champagne?"

"Yes," she said as I handed her the two flutes and I opened the bottle pouring us some champagne. I put the bottle back into the ice bucket. She hands me a flute as the door was closed and the driver got in. We click glasses as he began winding the roads to the restaurant "So. Where are we going?"

"It's a surprise," I said raising the flute to my lips and taking a sip.

She placed her hand on my knee as she took a sip of champagne "Oop," she said.

"What?" I asked.

"The bubbles tickled my nose," she said.

"Lucky bubbles," I said.

She rolls her eyes "That was cheesy," she giggles.

I put an arm around her shoulders "I happen to like cheese," I said as she laid her head on my shoulder "Want to listen to some music?" I asked pulling out my phone to find a playlist. What she didn't know is I found her Spotify, thanks to Fergal. I was going to surprise her with one of her playlists.

She tried to peer at my phone "Can I pick?" she asked but I tilted my phone away from her.

"I have it," I said as I began her top list and Flirtin' With Forever by Wayne Brady and Cat Gray began. I finally let her look at my phone and a smile spread across her lips "Hey. That's my playlist!"

"I know," I said "Fergal told me about your Spotify account and well you have a new follower," I wink.

"I do. Do I?" she said taking her phone out from her clutch. Her screensaver is of her three dogs Tony, Ziva and Jethro. She opened her Spotify app "Weird. I think you have a new follower too."

My phone dings and sure enough it was a notification for a new follower on Spotify.

"Funny how that works," I said as I slowly lace my fingers with hers. She smiled as we listened to her playlists. Her taste was collective. I looked at her playlist and she had old music like my parents era of music, even my grandparents and had newer music. Also a wide variety of genres "You really have a variety of taste when it comes to music huh?"

She nodded "I grew up with a mother who would play Elvis to Dolly Parton to The Beatles. So all the music fed my soul as a kid and to this day it feeds it. I love a wide variety of artists. Obviously I love Elvis and Dolly thanks to my Mom. But then I love rock, rhythm and blues, country, Motown and everything in between. I am not big on opera but I'm in the belief if the song is good. Then I will more than likely be a fan. Granted some bands scare the crap out of me," she giggles.

I laughed "You would probably be terrified by some of the bands I listen to," I said as Stand By Me by Ben E. King began. She sighed and closed her eyes "Mom loved this song," she reached up and wipes away some silent tears.

"Hey now. Please don't cry," I said cupping her chin and turning her to face me. I wipe away the tears with the side of my thumb "I can skip," I offer.

She placed a hand on mine "No. I love it too. Just saying my Mom loved it," she smiled as the song turned over to From This Moment On by Shania Twain featuring Bryan White "In a perfect world. This song would play as the rain came down and we danced under the stars letting the rain fall on us," she said as she lay her head back on my shoulder.

I smiled before kissing the top of her head "Maybe one day," I said. I was melting. I was absolute mush. She didn't know it yet but she had me wrapped completely around her little finger. The limo stopped and we were at the restaurant "Y/N we're here." Although I didn't want it to end. She pouts. I turned the music off.

"Come on," I said "Put the lip away before I bite it," as I slid my phone into my pocket and stepped out of the limo before turning and offering my hand to y/n. She took it and got of the limo.

She looks up and gasped "Chez Amour?" she said looking from the restaurant to me and back again "How?" she asked looking at me.

"A magician never reveals his secrets," I said as I offered my arm again and she smiles before taking it. I opened the door and we walked to the maître d' "Martinez party for two for seven."

The maître d' looks at his list "Yes. Right here sir," he said making a check mark before leading us to a candle lit table for two "Your waiter will be here shortly," he placed the menus at the places.

I pulled the chair out for y/n and she gave me a smile as she smooths her dress and sat. I helped push her chair in before going to the chair across from her. She took her menu and opened it. I see the top of her head over the menu "Anything look good? Besides you that is."

She glanced over the menu and her y/e/c eyes met mine "I could easily say the same thing to you," she said a smile plays on her lips. I felt myself falling without a parachute and I didn't care as I open the menu to look at it "I am so glad they have everything in English too," I said.

"Same Four years of French in high school and the only thing I can safely ask for is the bathroom, a dog and a cat," she said.

I laughed "Well at least you won't get those mixed up especially if you have to use the bathroom," I said.

She laughed "You have a point," she said as she returned her eyes to the menu "I think I will go with the Chicken Fricassée," she said "And maybe a glass of Chardonnay."

"Whatever your heart desires," I said as the waiter walks over.

"Can I start you off with something to drink?" he asked.

"Your finest bottle of Chardonnay," I said.

"Oh Luis. No. I can just have a glass," she said.

"Please let me treat you," I said.

"Our finest Chardonnay coming up Sir," said the waiter turning on his heel and walking away.

As he walked away y/n put her menu down "You know you didn't have to get an entire bottle of Chardonnay," she said.

"Y/N. Stop," I said closing my menu "I want to wine and dine you. Besides Chicken Fricassée sounds good and white wine pairs nicely with chicken."

She shook her head slightly "Is there anything you don't know?" she said with a smile as I reached out and took her hand drawing hearts on the back of her hand with the side of my thumb.

"How to line dance," I said.

"Well good. Neither do I," she laughed. Oh that laugh made butterflies form in my stomach "By the way last night. Where did you learn to Salsa?"

"Mariposa. I'm Latin. My hips were moving the moment I was born," I said.

That made her laugh as she rested her chin in her hand "Fergal said you were funny but he didn't say you were this funny."

"So he did tell you about me. Beside my former rockstar lifestyle," I said.

Y/N's POV

"Well yeah. I mean you, Demi and Dom are three of his closest mates," I said with a small shrug making Luis smile "What?"

"It's cute how you said mates," he said.

"Fergal rubs off on ya every once in a while," I said with a shrug "I don't even normally realize I call my friends, mate," I explain "It just sorta pops out."

"Well it's absolutely adorable," he said as the waiter brings the Chardonnay and wine bucket.

"Are we ready to order?" he asked.

We both nodded and Luis ordered for the both of us "Two Chicken Fricassée please," he said as we hand the waiter our menus. I turned back to Luis. I smiled and looked into his beautiful brown eyes. His eyes mesmerized me. I could easily find myself getting lost into them forever.

He tilts his head looking at me "Did anyone ever tell you that your eyes are hypnotizing?" he said. I shook my head 'no' "Well now you have because they're absolutely hypnotizing me." I felt my cheeks warm so I knew I was blushing.

"I said it once but I will say it again. You're a sweet talker."

He chuckled "And like I said I will always be with you," he said reaching up and tucking a loose hair behind my ear. He rests his hand on my cheek. I took his hand and kissed his knuckles as over the speakers Never Thought (That I Could Fall In Love) by Dan Hill came on "Dance with me."

"Here?" I asked.

He nods and gestures to the small dance floor where couples were dancing.

"I would love to," I said as he stood and offered his hand. I took it as I rose and he walked me to the dance floor. He had me in the palm of his hand and he didn't even know it. I was falling fast and I was liking it very much. He wrapped an arm around my waist as he took my hand in his hand. I placed a had on his bicep and we danced. Getting lost in each other's eyes.
