"Are you ready, Jerome?" Vikk asked. He was driving the groom to the awaited wedding, and Lachlan sat in the back with young Nooch.
"I'm ready to marry the love of my life," Jerome yelled, or should I say, bacca roared. They all cheered.
"You better be ready, especially with that bachelor party I planned," Lachlan smirked.
"I mean, Poofless and Rose are in the other car," Jerome replied, "And my significant other."
"Jerome, you're swooning!" Nooch cooed, making everyone laugh.
"I'm not swooning," Jerome huffed in his defense, "I just love him a lot!"
Jerome's car arrived about ten minutes after Mitch's does. Mitch is already inside making final touches, and hiding from Jerome, of course.
"Ey, Rob!" Jerome called, "Where's Pdawg?"
"In the kitchen probably eating," Rob replied with a smirk.
"Typical Preston. Of course, when we have Five Guys at our wedding!" Jerome laughed.
"At least he's content," Rob laughed.
"Daddy, where's Uncle Vikky and Uncle Lachlan? They have our cookies!" Nooch exclaimed, grabbing Rob's arm.
"They're coming; they are unloading things, remember?" Jerome replied before Rob could.
"They better have my cookies," Nooch grumbled and crossed his arms.
"I'm sure they kept their promise!" Preston replied, hearing Nooch as he approached behind Rob, wrapping his arms around Rob's waist.
"And you my friend need to go get ready."
"Fine, I'll catch you all later!" Jerome said and made his way to the dressing room. Jerome didn't feel nervous yet, but when Mitch's dad walked Mitch down the aisle, he was sure to feel the butterflies.
"Right this way, sir!" The makeup artist told Jerome as he opened the door. Jerome pulled out his phone to text Mitch.
JeromeASF =): Hey, are you ready?
BajanCanadian: As ready as I'll ever be <3
JEROMEASF CHANGED THE CHAT NAME TO: ALMOST MARRIED <333
BajanCanadian: Heart-eye emoji
JeromeASF: See you walking down the aisle, honey <3
Benja: kk, ily! <3
Bacca: ily2 <3
"Jerome!" Someone hissed through the door.
"Um, who is it?" Jerome asked.
"I-It's Rose," she sighed.
"Come in!" Jerome called quietly.
"I'm scared Uncle Jerome," she cried, "What if I mess up? I don't want to disappoint you."
"It's okay little one, you won't disappoint me. You did great as a flower girl at your daddies' wedding! That's why I chose you!" Jerome said sympathetically.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive."
"Thank you Uncle Jerome! I won't let you down!" Rose smiled and exited the room.
Rob and Preston are so lucky, Jerome thought.
Rob =O: Jerome! It's time to go to the alter to wait for the ceremony!
Jerome: Okay! I'm coming!
I stumbled down the aisle staring in awe at the beautiful scenery. The wedding planner did an amazing job, Jerome thought. The red and blue flowers mixed perfectly. Neatly trimmed vines laced themselves around the poles of the patio. Around the alter rose petals are scattered neatly.
"This is unreal," Jerome breathed.
"Yeah, I worked really hard on this," Rob said shyly, coming out from behind Jerome.
"You did this?" Jerome asked, surprised.
"Who else would Mitch go to?" Rob giggled.
"It's beautiful!" Jerome said, eyes watering.
"They don't call me the Flower King for nothing," Rob said, "Here comes the pastor, go to the alter, Jerome."
Jerome slowly walked up to the alter, glancing at the pastor. "How has your day been, sir?"
"No need to call me sir, Jerome!" he replied.
"Pete?" Jerome gasped, "This wedding is full of surprises!"
"You didn't know I was a pastor for weddings?" Pete asked, looking at Jerome and grinning.
"No, I didn't; in fact, I was never told!"
"Yep, ol' Pete-Zah-Hoot is a pastor," Pete replied as people began to pour into the room.
"The groom will be coming in a minute!"
Preston smiled at Rob. They have taken their position as best men, and Nooch sat in the front row. Rose waved from behind the door down the aisle, holding her flower basket. Jerome was twiddling his thumbs nervously.
"Psst, Jerome! Calm down! It's your day," Rob whispered to Jerome.
"I can't wait to see him," he smiled. At that moment, music started playing from the piano, and a hush fell in the room. Rose slowly began walking up the aisle, scattering rose petals under her feet. Preston and Rob's eyes glowed with pride, grinning from ear to ear. Then, Mitch entered the room arms linked with his dad. Jerome was smiling, and Rose returned to her seat. Mitch finally made it up to the alter, grabbing Jerome's rough hands.
"We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Jerome Accetti and Mitchell Hughes. You may say your vows." Pete said loudly.
"Mitch, we met eight years ago, and I swear, I don't regret it at all. Our friendship only blossomed from there. Two years ago, I asked you to be my boyfriend. Of course, you said yes. I never would have thought I would have such a handsome, talented, and amazing husband. Thank you, as three months ago I was able to call you mine forever," Jerome smiled; Mitch was tearing up, and Jerome raised his hand to wipe the tears.
"Jerome, I want to start off with me saying I love you so much. You lift me up when I am down. You love me when I'm feeling lonely. You care for me when I'm sick. You pick up the pieces and mend me when I am broken. I am so glad I am yours forevermore." Jerome was smiling and they both had tears of joy dancing in their eyes.
"May I have the rings?" Pete asked Nooch. Nooch handed him the rings.
"Jerome, do you take Mitch to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Pete asked.
"I sure do," he replied.
"And do you, Mitch, take Jerome as your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do," Mitch smiled.
"Then you may kiss the groom."
Jerome slid the rings on Mitch and his finger, leaned in and kissed Mitch. The kiss was slow, full of love, and meaningful. Clapping erupted around them, but all they could focus on was each other.
"You are officially mine." Jerome said.
"And I'm yours."
