Even with Winter's effort trying not to break the fourth glass this week, that night she did it again, and gladly, Karina was there with her when it happened.

"Winter! You stay there, and don't move!", Karina said towards her girlfriend, who is now squatting on the floor with shattered glass around her feet, crying.

She wasn't purposely holding the plate. She just wanted to move the dried plates from the sink back into the shelf when the pain suddenly hit her hard.

Winter does cries sometimes. The pain makes her cry, and Karina witnessed that a few times that sometimes she followed along too when things got overwhelming.

Karina quickly clean the shattered glass around Winter's feet, just enough to let the shorter girl came out from that painful territory before she pulled her out, putting her on the dining chair as she hug the shorter girl for comfort.

"It's okay, Winter. It will soon go away, hush now", Karina said, tapping the back of Winter's body gently with her hand.

The whines from Winter's crying break her heart, "It's hurt, Rina", she whine between her grunting. Hands clutching together, holding the pain in while her teeth gritted.

Karina quickly pulled away and wiped the tears on Winter's cheek, "I know, Winter. I know", she smiled apologetically. "You'll be at the hospital tomorrow, remember? Your pain will go away soon, Winter. Please stay strong a bit more".

Karina's thumbs on Winter's cheek is busy, wiping the tears that keep coming down before she runs towards that certain shelf to take that specific pain reliever pills. She put two pills into her palm before she rushed towards the shorter girl.

Winter quickly gulped down the pills down her throat with Karina's help. "I'm sorry...", her voice trembles along her fingers as Karina pulls away the cup of water from her girlfriend's mouth. "I'm so sorry...".

"It's okay, Winter", Karina hushed her again as she pulled Winter into another warm hug, patting Winter's back for comfort.

"It's gonna be fine..."

Karina woke up the next morning, putting the passcode on Winter's door as she cooked breakfast for the shorter girl like usual. Soon, Winter woke up by the utensils sounds from her kitchen, realizing that it was only her girlfriend next door serving her another breakfast with her beautiful smile.

Karina late helped Winter pack up her things into that small duffle bag, just enough for two or three days at the hospital. Winter was a bit hesitant when the nurse saw her lingeries inside her wardrobe, but between the shy blush on both of their cheeks, they kept packing.

Clock shows it's almost 12 in the afternoon, and Karina needs to leave for work. Even tho Winter's admission started at 2, the shorter girl insisted on following her girlfriend, which Karina gladly agreed.

"Why? Are you afraid?", Karina asked as they walked together towards the elevator before Winter slowly interwined her fingers with the girl beside her, "A bit...".

A bit startled by the cute gesture, Karina slowly leaned in to leave a peck on the shorter girl's cheek, "It's going to be fine, Winter. Trust me", Karina smiled. "And you know, when you are bored, you can come and visit me, or you could just call me. I'll come to your room as soon as I can. Okay?".

"Okay", Winter smiled back with the assurance.

With a soft chuckle followed by another peck on Winter's cheek, Karina said, "I'm glad I'm working in the same hospital where you were admitted into."

Duffle bag in hand as they walk towards Karina's car. The nurse offered to drive, and Winter was more than happy to accept the invitation.

The drive was good, for Winter. Karina's hand holding onto her's all the way to the hospital, caressing her thumb onto the back of Winter's hands softly, exchanging smiles in between.

When they arrived, Karina invited Winter into her locker room, letting Winter sit on one of the bench before she locked the door shut. Winter watched as Karina pulled off her coat, hanging then onto the hanger. But, when she's about to pull the hem of her shirt, Karina glared shyly towards the shorter girl with flushed cheeks.

"Can you... cover your eyes for a second?"

Winter's hands moved almost immediately, covering her eyes with both hands, too embarrassed to see what's beneath that sheet of cloth. Her cheeks show the obvious red hue before she apologizes.

"S-Sorry!"

Karina quickly changed her shirt into her nurse uniform, putting on the lanyard around her neck. "You can open your eyes now".

Winter slowly uncovered her eyes, staring softly at Karina in her pastel purple uniform. A small smile flashed on her face, "I always love it when you are in that," she confessed.

Karina smiled back before she walked closer to her girlfriend, hands on her shoulder as she leaned it closer, "I guess I need to wear this a lot in front of you?", she smirked.

"Please do," Winter chuckled between her tiny laugh.

After another peck on Winter's temple that succeeded to make the shorter girl smiling so wide, Karina led Winter to nurse station, which she supposedly not allowed to. But, her senior, Irene, was kind enough to let Winter be, knowing that Winter would only be there for an hour or two.

Winter sat on the chair behind the counter silently, watching every single action her hardworking girlfriend did, from helping out a patient, checking their conditions, and drawing out needles and blood. Winter gasped at the view for a short second, knowing that that would be her future in a few hours.

Winter eyes were stuck to the beautiful figure of her lover that she didn't even realise a girl was standing in front of the counter, practically staring at Winter with a deadly glare.

"Ehem!", the girl coughs, finally bringing Winter's attention to the small figure. "Yes?"

"Why did you keep staring at my girlfriend with that smile?", the girl asked, and Winter quickly furrows her eyebrows in confusion.

"Excuse me? Your girlfriend?", Winter scoffed with a pout. "She is my girlfriend."

"No, she is my girlfriend! That nurse sister promised me yesterday that if I act like a good girl and did not cry during every injection, she would marry me!"

Winter scoffed once before, "That woman cooked for me, stayed at my house, patted me to sleep, kissed me, and sang with me! She is my girlfriend!", Winter snarled back.

"She sang with me too! We sang 'Oompa Loompa' together yesterday! You just didn't know!", the girl stomped her feet on the wood tiles and brought the attention of the nurse who had just arrived at the scene.

"Wow-wow. Calm down, kids. You too, Winter", it was Aeri who was there to save the day. "Mihee, go back to your room, or nurse Karina will be so mad at you", Aeri tried to shoo the girl away with her hands gesture, smiling lightly towards the six years old before she glared at Winter once more.

When the small girl makes the hand gesture of 'I—see—you' towards the short haired girl, before Winter glared back at her with wide open eyes, gesturing the 'neck-cutting' to the small girl.

The small girl disappeared seconds later, and Winter scoffed out so loud that her bangs flew upwards from her own-made winds.

"Nice to meet you again, Winter", Aeri laughs as she stares at how an angry and annoyed Winter spins the chair behind the counter.

When Aeri was about to continue, Karina came into the picture, putting a board clipped with a form onto the counter with a smile, "Oh, you're here".

"Yes, I am, and I just stopped a World War 3 between your girlfriend and a seven years old patient", Aeri scoffed between her laughs and her statement made Karina turn her eyes quickly to her girlfriend who still spinning her chair with the pouts.

"Umm... What happened?"

"Apparently, your patient, Mihee—"

"You promised a marriage with a seven years old without telling me? What? She is your girlfriend?", Winter's cute, angry voice brought Karina's fullest attention towards her. "Excuse me?"

"She said you promised to marry her if she's being a good girl!", Winter's arms both in front of her chest, with the same angry pouts.

Karina let out a tiny laugh, "Winter, I did that so she would not cry and banter every time I'm trying to give her a shot."

"But, still—"

"Love quarrel outside the station, please, lovebirds. I just got here and need to do lots of things, and Karina", Aeri turned her head towards her friend, "It's 10 minutes more to 2".

"—Oh, shit!", Karina practically rushed towards the station's door, pulling out sulking Winter from the chair with an apologetic smile as she grabbed their duffle bag from the floor.

"Thanks, Aeri! Tell Irene I'll be back in 30 minutes!"

After filling up some forms and stuff, Karina helped Winter put on her patient's tagging around the girl's wrist before following her towards their designated room.

They got a single bed room, a mileage for the staff family members (even tho Winter practically wasn't a family member, but it counts as one). Karina set the duffle bag into one of the drawers before she took her seat right next to Winter, waiting for the nurse in charge to come to check on her.

"Why are you still sulking?", Karina laughs at the shorter girl who is still looking away, arms on her chest. "You are not going to ignore me that long, aren't you?"

Despite Karina's soothing voice and soft words (that almost make Winter want to give up and give in), Winter keeps pouting.

"Fine-fine. I'll do the same to you", Karina chuckled before she pulled one arms from Winter, interwined their fingers.

"If you hold up the pain, and being a good girl, I am going to marry you, Winter."

Karina words finally make the shorter girl turn her head towards her nurse girlfriend. "You will?"

"I will", Karina laughs between her nods. "I am not making a childish promises, Winter. I am serious with you".

"Seal your promise with a kiss!", Winter demands, and Karina gladly obeys with a big smile on her face, leaning in as she kisses the girl on her lips softly.

"Sealed."
