Evangeline's POV

Entering the basement I walked to the trucks that are loading with weapons.

Taking a gun from a box in my hands I felt its weight and rested it with others.

I'm impressed.The quality was good!

"Boss lady", everyone greeted.

Acknowledging them with a nod I walked to the hall.

Everyone gathered waiting for my presence.

"Boss lady", the shout echoed in entire hall.

"So what do we have here?", smiling at Sophie she brought two minions in front of me smirking.

"Boss lady...forgive me...please.. don't kill me", the first man begged while the other stayed silent glaring hard at me.

These little ones..How dare they betray the gang?

The crowd now watching my actions with silence making them tense.

Gripping the first man's hair I bent down to look at his eyes.

"Do you want a chance to live?", Smirking at him I asked.

His eyes begging me to stop whatever I'm thinking. His whole body was shaking in fear! He nodded closing his eyes in desperation to survive.

The suspense was making him tense every second.

"Relax buddy..don't be scared..I don't kill people", I freed his hair from my hands.

He looked relieved and surprised.

"Yes..I don't kill people nor do I give a chance", his eyes bulged out at my last words.

"But..I will give you a choice", I broke the suspense.

Poor baby was so scared of me.

"Boss..lady..", he called out with a hope.

"A choice where you sign up your loyalty for the gang with life of your sister's son", his eyes warmed up with tears.

I got you.

Smirking at him I continued.

"Or A choice where you kill your sister's son and you leave the gang alive", I finished.

"Boss lady...", He cried at his helplessness.

"You got 10 seconds. Option A or Option B", I looked at my watch waiting for his answer.

"I'll go with option A", he told quickly.

"Well that's easy. You may go".

"Sophie make him sign the agreement", she walked along with the man.

The second man had his head lowered waiting for my command. His death glare was long gone.

Shadow was the gang run by my family. We were second in the world.

Don't bother to ask me who was first!

Everyone feared Shadows. After my father died I wanted to run the gang. Initially it was going to be in Sophie's father's hand.

For some reasons I wanted to take over.

"Take him to black room", Ordering I went out to get some air.

Black room was to educate the persons to be a loyal one. Extreme punishments were included too.

The half crescent moon shining brightly with chill breeze calmed my nerves. I released my hands from fist!

"You are too kind to handle the gang Eva", Sophie's voice came from behind.

It sounded more like a statement.

"You are too innocent for me,love", Xander's voice laced with both excitement and sadness.

"Is something bothering you?", I asked watching him for his reaction.

He looked super hot in his casuals. With his brown smooth hair disheveled in all directions giving him a sexy morning messy look was enough to crash a bull dozer in my heart!

"You know me too well", his dark chuckle echoed in the bedroom.

Straddling him I hugged him.

He started to play with my hair where a moan escaped my lips enjoying the feel.

"Getting you near me is too dangerous", he started slowly.

"Is that regret in your dictionary?", I asked straight back searching his eyes for answer.

"I do regret", he laughed.

"Xander..you should comfort me now...entering your life was most beautiful thing ever happened to me. But you doesn't sound happy about it. I do know you are doing some bad business..yet you are too good to me..that was more than enough for me to spend my life with you",cupping his cheeks I confessed what I really feel for him.

"Eva...I love you...the thing is the change in me..you are bringing this changes which I don't want it..I want to change for a good person for you...yet I don't want it...", His frustration..his struggle with his bad demon was clear in his eyes.

I chuckled."Do you kill people Xander?", I asked.

"No", he answered in an instant.

"Are you doing any drugs?", I asked again.

"You know me. Of course not", he answered right away.

"That's enough. I don't want money..I have enough in my account. I'm quite selfish Xander. All I want is your love for me for my life...I gotta go now", smiling I pecked his lips.

Taking my things I waved at him and went  to my office.

I thought that would turn into a serious arguement.

Xander never talks what was going in his mind. This time he spoke.

I gritted my teeth hard remembering the first time I stayed in his home.

"You are lost", Sophie nudged my hand.

"I'm driving", I announced and went to truck.

"Be safe", Sophie told and left inside.

Tonight's deal was quite important. I can't afford to make mistakes.

Starting the truck I looked at maps for directions.

After like ten minutes my phone rang.

"Evangeline",his voice made my skin tingles.

The mere voice of him was enough to turn my heart into flames of hatred.

"What do you want Xa..Alexander?", I bit my tongue as it slipped calling him Xander.

No voices heard in background.

My heart thumped in anxiousness and at new excitement calling him Xander after years.

"Ms. Evangeline I have a surprise for you. Look at your navigation system", his voice was stone hard.

"You still suck at directions right? Then good luck Evangeline", with that he hanged up.

When I looked at navigation it was hacked.

Damn!!!

Again the phone rang.

"Alexander Knight.."

"Take left then right and a U-turn followed by a left and right you will reach your destination", he interrupted and ended the call again.

That sneaky bastard.

"Alexander Knight I'm going to kill you...you annoying bastard", stopping the truck I screamed in frustration.

That bastards ruined my day again! I'm really bad at taking directions.
