Ash's POV-14 years old-Pallet Town, Kanto.

"Morning mom!" I shouted, running out of my room.

"Morning Ash, breakfast is ready!"

"Thanks!"

I hurried into the kitchen, washing my hands. I ran to my seat and dove into the food. I quickly finished and thanked her again.

"Okay, come on Pikachu! We have a plane to catch!"

"Pika Pikachu!"

"Ash! Did you forget something?"

I checked to see if I was missing something. I had my hat, jacket, Pokéballs, Pikachu, backpack, ticket, and shoes.

"No, I didn't!"

"Yes, you did! Your ride to the airport!"

I realized that she was the one taking me.

"Whoops, I guess I forgot. Hurry up, mom!"

I heard her laugh and the jingle of the keys, I rushed to the car and opened the door.

"Mom! We're going to be late!" I yelled, buckling myself.

"Ash, we still have to pick up Desmond, remember?" She said, opening her door.

"How could I forget?" I said as she sat in her seat.

She smiled and started the car.

We drove to Dez's place and stopped in front of the house.

"Mom, honk the horn." I told her.

She honked the horn, a couple seconds later we saw Dez walk out of the house, a semi-angry look on his face.

He opened the door and said, "I saw your car, y'know."

"Yeah, I know." I said, laughing.

He rolled his eyes and got in the car. Mom proceeded to drive to the airport.

When we arrived, we took out our tickets and walked up to the entrance gate. They were approved and I said bye to mom and we walked onto our plane and sat down. Not too long after, an announcement was heard over the loudspeakers.

"We are now taking off to Lumiose City, Kalos. Time estimated for the arrival is seven hours."

I felt the plane start to lift off, seconds later, we were rising higher and higher into the atmosphere.

I decided to sleep for as long as I can until the land. I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep.

~Time Skip~

I faintly heard Dez's voice in the background, I couldn't make out what he said, but the next thing I knew, I felt electricity course through my body. It could be none other than Pikachu's Thunderbolt.

My eyes shot open in shock and I looked at Dez and Pikachu, Dez was laughing so much, his face was red, Pikachu had a sincere apologetic look on his face.

"DESMOND MILES I SWEAR TO ARCEUS I WILL KILL YOU ONE DAY!"

"No you won't."

"Yeah, you're right. Instead, Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu gladly did as I asked, he had that satisfied look on his face that said, 'That's what you get for screwing with my trainer.'

Dez exclaimed in pain as we laughed like never before, tears of laughter formed in our eyes and rolled down our cheeks. Pikachu stopped the Thunderbolt, but continued laughing, Dez eventually joined in and we were all dying of laughter.

We eventually stopped, as we did, another announcement was heard.

"All passengers, we are now landing in Lumiose City in the Kalos region. Please stay seated until the plane has come to a complete landing."

I exchanged excited looks with Dez and Pikachu. We were finally back in Kalos! It's been quite a while since I've seen Bonnie and Clemont, what, three years? Well, I guess it wasn't too long, but still.

The plane completely landed and I jumped out of my seat, grabbing my carry-ons as Pikachu hopped onto my right shoulder.

I took a deep breath in and exclaimed in excitement.

"It's great to be back, isn't it buddy?" I asked Pikachu.

He hopped off my shoulder for some reason, but I didn't care. I took a step down and slipped, tumbling down each step.

I reached the bottom and everything was spinning. I shook my head quickly and everything returned to its proper place.

I stood up, Pikachu landed back onto my right shoulder, he lost balance, but I pushed him back so he wouldn't fall.

"Pika Pi." He said, which I assume was a 'Thank you.'

Dez walked down the steps and took a deep breath of fresh air.

"Smells like good-old Kalos." He laughed.

I nodded in agreement.

"Yeah."

I started walking towards Prism Tower.

"Ash, where ya goin'?" Dez asked.

"To see a couple of my old friends! Why?" I questioned him.

"Nothing, I just wanted to know."

I nodded and continued on the path.

We arrived at Prism Tower and I knocked on the door, they let us in, but there was another door further up ahead. We walked up and knocked on that one. The screen began to talk.

"Welcome to the Lumiose Gym." It said, I couldn't recognize it as a guy's voice, so I assumed it was a female.

"Hello, we would like to see the Lumiose Gym leader." Dez spoke up.

"For what purpose?" The voice spoke.

"A battle."

"How many gym badges do you have?"

I handed him four of my old badges in the case, one from Santalune, Cyllage, Anistar, and Snowbelle.

"Four." He spoke up.

A camera came out of the wall and saw the badges.

"Right this way."

The doors opened and we saw the inside of the gym, it hasn't changed one bit.

I opened my backpack and saw a sweater, I pulled it out and put it on. It was a dark grey sweater with a Pokéball on the front. My hat remained on my head, the hood covered it, but the rim of the hat remained out.

A female walked out of the door on the opposite end. She had dark, long, blonde hair with a green accessory and blue eyes, an orange overcoat with a yellow shirt with a green tie, the shirt transferred to a green skirt, which had a green pair of shorts underneath, she had red-pink shoes on with two round, white marks vertically on either shoe, lastly she had a yellow and brown purse that went diagonally from her shoulder to her hip. A Dedenne was perched on her right arm.

"That's Bonnie." I mumbled. "Pikachu, hop into my backpack." I whispered, he did as told and jumped in. I zipped him in, leaving a semi-small hole so he can breathe. I walked onto the stands and placed my backpack down.

Bonnie walked up to Dez. "I'm sorry." She apologized. "My brother will be a couple of minutes."

"It's okay, I'm not here to battle." Dez said.

"Um.. Excuse me?" She asked.

Dez pointed to me, my hat was down so she couldn't see me, but I could see her.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" She questioned.

I smirked. "What? Don't you remember a familiar face when you see one?" I question back in a deeper voice than usual.

"Probably because I've never seen you before! Dedenne! Nuzzle!" She shouted, the Pokémon did as commanded and rubbed its cheeks, electricity crackled from the antennae. Dedenne launched at me, I quickly side-stepped the attack.

"What's going on?" A new voice said.

"There's a person that we've never met before in here! They came in with him!" She exclaimed, pointing to Dez.

I looked at the boy, his hair was a bright blonde and he had blue eyes with glasses over them, he wore a zipped-up jacket with the colors that represented Lumiose City and a pair of dark grey pants, he wore white shoes with yellow on the sides. It was Clemont.

The Dedenne tried to land another nuzzle, but failed.

"Who are you and what are you doing in my gym?!" Clemont exclaimed.

"You really don't recognize me?" I questioned, continuing with the deeper voice.

"We don't recognize you because we don't know you." Bonnie stated.

"Well, how come I know you, Bonnie and Clemont."

"Everyone knows our names! I'm the gym leader, and she's my little sister! Who wouldn't?!"

I smirked and said, "No, you have a personal connection with me.." I said as I let the Dedenne finally attack me.

I have to say, I was very shocked at how strong this particular Pokémon was. It's electricity seemed new. I gave my worried Pokémon a reassuring glance, telling him I was going to be okay, he seemed to understand. I finally gave up trying to fight the electricity and fell to the floor, my hood fell down and my cap fell off. The last thing I saw was the surprised faces of the two siblings hovering above me, then everything turned black.
