10. Emotions

Third Person's POV

Samuel was deep within his thoughts after he had finished almost a bottle of alcohol. Sitting on one of stool in bar, he stared at ice crystals submerged in alcohol moved in tall glass. He couldn't shake of the feeling of guilt that had surfaced in his heart thinking of Jennifer. He wanted to say more when he saw her wet pillow, he was about to touch her shoulder and try to share her feelings but thoughts had hit him hard that he was the reason for sadness. He didn't knew what he was supposed to say, so he sprinted from that room as thick air started suffocating him. He doesn't know what she might be feeling right now but whatever it is, it's not good and caused by him. All he wanted for her was to be happy, happy with him but it's otherwise. She was crying, try hiding her sadness behind the facade she puts on. He didn't even give her time to mourn over her loss instead she was beaten and treated badly.

His heart sank as he gulped down remaining alcohol and poured some more, he was lost on the track unable to form any move on the right path that will bring them together. He was good to her, she reciprocated however he couldn't take away her sadness, and in fact he was the reason in the first place. Also he had her in chains, he wanted to go to her this instant and free her but then he will loose her forever. She was women, he found very different; Smart, bold laced with power yet delicate in some manner. He wanted to be her support and the shoulder where she cried as he held her in his warm embrace.

He sighed heavily, breathing deeply in and out to clear his mind, to think of something clever. Dragging himself up to his room and he postponed thinking to when he's sober. His eyes roamed over beautiful girl sleeping in a ball, clenching blanket in grasp in a way she's scared of the world out here. His hands cupping the side of her cheek and knuckles grazing them back while retracting. He needed to give it a time before everything could fall in a place. He will leave and go away from here for a while, he thought determinately before he slept on the other side of the bed.

Jennifer could smell alcohol on Samuel as she woke up in evening. As she had took her first breath feeling rejuvenated, smell of alcohol had ruined by accompanying it and that is when she noticed his sleeping form beside her. She gazed at him, still in his jeans and grey shirt that he wore last night, his dark black hair messed but there was calm and peace on his face; her hands having their own will went to remove the hair that was covering his forehead and half eyes. He was looking innocent and not any creature who could kill without remorse. Her body had moved forward to get closer look at his face, thoughts coming in her mind that what if he was not the one, then maybe they would have been sharing the bed for some another reason. She averted her gaze, trying to shrug off the image that entered her mind. Her form wrapped in Sam's body and they both in sheets which is the only cloth present; blood has been rushing in her body while she quickly ripped off the sheets and rushed to bathroom.

Samuel peeked through his one eye as he heard door slamming shut, he was awaken the moment he felt the Jennifer's breath and heard jingles of chain. He could feel her stare him while she studied his features and his breath had almost stopped when she brushed her fingers and came closer to his form. It gave him new ray of hope that he could make it possible. He abruptly sat on bed, grinning ear to ear while scratching his back of head. He never blushed but the things this girl did to him were unimaginable. He couldn't help but smile her mere touch ignited infinite sparks which he was hardly aware off.

Jennifer exhaled loudly, as she splashed cold water on her face, her glowing honey iris met her own. She couldn't believe where her thoughts were drifting. This is not the direction she want them to go to, she was feeling disappointed of herself.

Samuel, now planned on getting in her good book and seduce her while Jennifer thought of playing by his rules and gaining the trust. Both started new day with determination to make most out it. When Samuel heard opening of the door, he slept again however his senses on alert.

Jennifer sat on edge of bed, looking at his sleeping form and shifting it to curtained window. Without making any noise, she reached up to windows, pulling cream curtains wide open. As moon light seeped through window, little glimmer of it relaxed her, specially her wolf who felt lonely as she howled in pain thinking about her lost mate. It was long time ago, yet it feels just few days, wound still raw and empty space in heart that couldn't be filled by anyone. Jennifer sat there, her gaze fixated outside the window trying to sooth herself from panic that was multiplying.

Groan left Samuel's lips as he stretched his body, bored of waiting for some action to happen but she was too much into herself to realize that he was awake and even done with his bath and was now ready for the day. She still sat on same place like statue, her heart beating in slow rythm. Only her position was changed, earlier she was sitting with her legs down touching carpeted floor and now they were bent, her chin was resting on her knees, holding herself together with her body slumped. His eyes trailed to the chain dangling along the feet. She looked vulnerable and lonely. He wanted to do something to get her out of this zone.

Samuel needed to join his brother for breakfast but he also wanted to talk to Jennifer which seemed more important to him. So he asked Maria to bring their breakfast in there itself.

"You would like to eat something?" He asked her, even though he had asked Maria to bring for her as well, it was his effort to make conversation with her. This silence was piercing him with unseen needdles.

Without lifting her gaze, voice hardly above whisper she said, "Sure."

She was making it difficult for him to keep trying but he didn't back down yet, he waited patiently till their breakfast arrived.

Maria, like happy soul she was, smiling brightly and serving food for them. She even looked at Jennifer and she couldn't believe that her unpleasant behaviour had anything to do with Samuel but still questions arose in her mind.

"Jennifer?" Samuel called her, she hummed in response.

"Breakfast is served, come here." He spoke softly.

"I-I will have it later,.. please do save it for me." She hesitated however said it anyway and her voice was dull not confident as earlier.

He stood up as his blood boiled, she was behaving like spoiled brat and he was not really good at handling, "Jennifer!" He said in stern voice, walking up to her and standing just in front, "Its not a request, you follow what I command. Did I make myself clear?"

Her rose red eyes met his for first the time this morning as she lifted her head to nod in response however putting it down again and resting them on knees, closing her eyes in process. This made Samuel's temper flare, he grabbed her ginger hair and pulled it back so that she was able to face him again. "Don't pull your pretty princess tantrums in here because I am the last person who can deal with, learn to Obey Me. It will be better for you." And he yanked her head.

His hand making way to her waist wanting pull Jennifer to her feet and gradually up to the couch. However she was no rag doll, as he couldn't move her an inch.

Jennifer looked at him in annoyed expression and wanting her to leave alone.

His attempt was futile, he had forgotten how strong she is until this very moment, he bent and pulled her arms with full force that she crashed in to him. Her muscles hanging on his forearms as she struggled to find her footing but before she could have, Samuel dragged and pushed her on couch with thud and ordered. "Now eat."

He tried behaving nice, however she was pushing the buttons to his patience levels, which didn't result well.

"I said eat it," without waiting any further, he shoved the spoonful of soup in her mouth and sat beside while she fed herself.

They ate together but nobody uttered a word, he wanted to treat her nicely but she was being stubborn. Sameul was angry, it was a poke required to burst the bubble of anger that had built inside him and Jennifer's ignorance was moving in same direction. He was afraid that he must not do anything that he might feel bad later.

She ate her food as she was instructed all the while zoned out. Even after she was done she was sat there like a zombie and tried to eat from empty plates staring at them blankly.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" He asked annoyingly.

She didn't hear him at first and Samuel hated repeating, he closed the distance between them and hissed, "What the fuck you are trying to do Jennifer?" He said each and every word clear and loud.

"Nothing, just nothing." She snapped frustrated, slumped back in her seat. He looked at her waiting for further explanation with anger filled in his sapphire eyes, at the way she snapped at absolutely nothing, "My father is dead, my klatch, I don't know what is happening there? And Me?" She let out a bitter laugh, "I am held captivated by person who has caused all of this, what are you expecting from me?" She asked her hands raised in surrender, her sudden outburst is not that Sameul was expecting. She stood up and when Samuel looked at her quizzically, she raised her voice, "You want me happy about it or maybe daaance for you my master?" Her tone was sickly sweet and she pretended like she was wearing dress and holding imaginary hem on sides, taking a twirl and bowing in end. The fire in her eyes had returned as she lashed out her anger.

"Please do tell me Master. What shall I do for you?" She mocked him further.

Samuel couldn't take it anymore, he rubbed his temple trying to control himself, grasping her jaw "Watch what you're asking for Jennifer!" through said it through gritted teeth, his eyes turning dark as he slammed door behind him leaving the room. He was done being good now it was time she met his dark soul.

This chapter is  dedicated to MisterAugust For the his lovely comments, and making this beautiful and sexy covers for this book. Thank you so much sweetheart. :-)

I loved the first cover, it looks like this amazing painting where girl is feeling so content and mixture of colour is beautiful.

And second one reminds me of the scene where Jennifer was chained in dungeon. (I think I am going to use it *whispers*)

I loved both them. Thank you again for making it.

Go guys, give a try to his books as well. They are pretty unique and deep.

I have read the Declaration of an Orange and it's pretty cute and deep. Understanding of our society from point of view of an orange who cannot understand why we do things we do and tries to make his life happy in his own small world with other fruits and bit of romance.

Thank you for reading.

Next update might take little longer but I ensure when I start updating again, it will continuous as I plan to write before I post.

I am having exams, so that is the reason I won't be able to update.

Please do vote and comment.
