Will pov

Me and my mom sped to the police station to see Hopper. She felt as if he needed to know what we saw.

Hopper... I wonder how he's doing after Eve died about a year ago. I, myself, am not doing the best. She was my best friend.

Best friend.

We pulled up to the building, and she yanked me out of the car and inside the police station.

She pushed open the door and Hopper jumped and rolled his eyes as his dark skinned co worker fiddled with a blue ballpoint pen.

"You, sir, leave- please, I need..." she said sternly and stopped as she tried to collect the energy to be polite.

"I need to talk to Hopper," she said.

The man raised his eyebrows, forming folds in his forehead. "Sorry ma'am, we're working on a missing kid case- hey isn't that kid supposed to be dead?"

She flinched as I closed my eyes and leaned against the wall in frustration. "Excuse me, do you know how rud-"

"CALVIN POWELL! Where is he?"

We were interrupted by the slamming of the door opening, hitting the wall behind it, and a painfully familiar voice shouting a request for the man playing with a pen.

Oddly enough, everyone in the room had a confused look on their face from the familiarity of the voice outside. The looks were soon wiped away as a short girl in a turtleneck and a flannel jacket, a short boy with a fanny pack, a Mike doppelganger with chunky glasses and a tall blue eyed redhead push through the door.

The short girl had her eyes planted on Calvin but she was soon aware that there were other people in the room.

I still haven't gotten a clear view of her face, but an uncomfortable longing to know exactly who she was and what she had to do with me cause me to grab her shoulders and turn her to face me. Her eyes brightened as they met mine and the corners of her mouth slowly rose as we studied each other's faces, realization sinking in.

"Will."

a/n: this is just a returning chapter bc im back and hopefully alot more active. It's kind of hard being an editor, writer AND student so please bare with me. I just felt so bad making you all wait so long. The next chapter might be a bit painful but... you'll get over it.
