Why Do You Hate Me So?
(Sorry I haven't been updating in long awhile, been busy with work.) (Third POV?)
Looking back now, Ashe realized that taking a hike- alone- though the woods hadn't been the best idea he'd ever had. Then again, Megatron would have been good company, that is if he wasn't talking with Knockout on something call Synthetic Energon.
Though Ashe has been seeing flashes of black and purple for weeks, no not the Decepticons per say but one in particular, Arachnid. It would always be when he least expected it, and in the weirdest places. Ashe had been 'dodging' and 'Staying away' from the Spider for awhile, after what she had threatened Ashe wouldn't think twice she wouldn't carry it out.
No matter the consequences.
Ashe hated to be a bother to anyone and he didn't want to make something out of nothing. Some of the time Ashe would see the Spider glance his way when he and Megatron 'stumble upon' her in the hallways, though most were probably just hallucinating from Ashe's restless nights. This was what he had forced himself to believe. Ashe could barely sleep, something was keeping him awake, some twitch every now and then like the world was suppose to end.
That wouldn't happen....
would it?
(*I smell foreshadowing.*)
Ashe shook it off, he would fall asleep at almost random times, just simple collapse or take a snooze, mostly on Decepticon shoulders. It had been harder for him to sleep, after a few minutes Ashe would just wake up, and resume where he left off in his day. Ashe had realized a while ago that it was hard talking to people, Humans were dumb after dealing with an advanced robotic species, and he held no desire to be around them for longer than was necessary.
So Ashe had taken the weekend off from everything and decided to hike into the woody mountains to get some much-needed alone time. Now he was regretting it.
Somewhere behind him was his campsite- a little, two-person tent and a cozy campfire. Ashe had lost sight of it...
why?
Because after running through the murky trees illuminated only by the fading twilight sky. Being chased by a crazy, spider-looking Cybertronian was not how Ashe envisioned his peaceful weekend.
"Oh Ashe." a voice crooned from somewhere behind him.
He didn't let himself look back, it's always a bad idea or so horror movies make it out to be, instead Ashe was just pushing onward as the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. The trees practically flew past Ashe, and he wasn't even flying or using his faster speed, blurring together into one, endless mass of grainy, gray bark. His feet ate up the ground and covered a lot of distance as he tried to lose his pursuer.
Cursing his luck, Ashe skidded to a halt when he spied Arachnid perched on the top of a tree, gazing down at you. You took in a lungful of air and started in a new direction. "Using treetops is cheating!" Ashe cried over his shoulder, Ashe's unhappiness evident in his voice.
She chuckled, the noise echoing between the dense trees and seeming louder than it really was. "This is my game, sweet Anarchy. I make the rules, and there is no cheating." Ashe cursed her out in his head.
"Now run, cutie. I want to see those shapely legs of yours scuttling away from me!"
If Ashe hadn't been that much in his right mind, he would have turned around and swore vehemently at her. Now she was just being creepy...and not the good kind either. As it was, Ashe continued onward, hoping that he wouldn't trip over a root or the like and come crashing to the forest floor. Ashe has had many accidents like that before, he was near accident prone if not careful.
Arachnid continued her little game of cat and mouse, hopping from treetop to treetop and herding Ashe exactly where she wanted him to be. Ashe didn't want to comply with her wishes, but he had little choice in the matter. She was strong, fast, and bigger than him.... or at least what his 'human' side would portray as, Plus, she was a freaking alien robot. Ashe wasn't exactly sure how he was supposed to compete against her. Ashe doesn't want to reveal anything to the ones he has yet to gain full trust on, other wise Arachnid would have lost him ages ago.
Ashe ran for what felt like hours, his legs began to cramp up and your breath came in short gasps, Ashe can out run everything given time, yet over time eventually something would have to give, the law of nearly everything. Ashe has been running past normal human time, and now his lungs were burning and all of his muscles ached, he would go longer but he had barely any sleep, so his rate of energy was cut in fifths. The femme behind Ashe called out more remarks, each one getting a little creepier and more personal. You desperately wished that she would stop, but his prayers went unanswered.
Then came the point where Ashe's legs folded underneath him, refusing to move at all. Ashe groaned, knowing it was all over for him. If only he could sleep properly, and have the energy to go on for a few 'days', but no. So now Ashe was just laying there, staring up at the few stars that peeked between the tree's branches and gasping in air like he was dying. He certainly felt like it, and it had been such a long time since he felt this way, an awfully long time since he was in a near death experience like when he was younger.
Somewhere behind Ashe, a loud thud accompanied by the shaking of the ground told him that Arachnid had dropped to the ground and was walking up to him. "Oh? You're giving up already, Ashe?" She sighed, sounding disappointed. "I guess I should have expected as much from Megatron's little pet... or the lack of sleep you have been under going lately. Such a shame really, I was hoping to try and beat the record again."
A string of her strange web wrapped itself around Ashe and she hoisted him up to her eye-level. Ashe was 'way' too tired to do much other than squirm feebly. However, Ashe did managed to summon enough strength to spit out, "I'm not Megatron's 'pet'. And yeah, I wanted to beat the record too."
Arachnid's optics glowed slightly brighter at this piece of information, she knew that Ashe hated the word 'pet' when applied to him, to Ashe it sounded like a slave. "Really, now? That is very surprising, little Anarchy, You'll be all the more interesting to add to my collection."
Ashe wrinkled his nose. "Keeping heads is so gross, though. Especially human ones. They don't last very long." She tilted her head to one side, pondering his words and studying him with curious optics. Then they chuckled, Ashe gave out a weak little one as well as a smile, Then a silence extended for so long that Ashe thought she wasn't going to say anything else. That was when she spoke. "You are not like the other humans, Ashe."
"I try," Ashe yawned, unable to stop himself. "Humans are so boring." This drew another laugh out of her. "Then you and I are of the same mind. Why don't you journey with me for a while? I will add you to my collection one day, but I wouldn't mind your company for now."
Ashe's sleepy mind had to ponder this for a moment before he could come to any sort of decision. Then he shrugged the webbing around himself giving to allow the motion. "Sure, why not? I've got nothing else to do for awhile anyways."
A smile pulled up the corners of her metallic lips. She moved him to one of her palms and pulled away the webbing, allowing Ashe movement once more. Her body transformed into her 'spider mode,' as Ashe had dubbed it long ago. Ashe was then moved to her shoulder, where he curled into her surprisingly warm metal plating. Her extra legs carried the two of them through the forest quickly, but Ashe was so tired out that he could barely hold his eyes open.
The last thing that Ashe was conscious of was Arachnid chuckling to herself and whispering his name.
This was their mutual bond they had made over a few short weeks, a day or two into having barely any sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Ashe POV) _FOUR WEEKS AGO__roughly_
Why did Arachnid hate me so much? It was more hate than any single human under her wrath could make happen. I know I'm human, I know I look like some animal that needs to be hunted, I know she is a spider and their predatory instincts normally kick in, I know.... I'm different. but why in the Pits of Kaon does she hate me this bad? What did I do?
I'm so tired, I'm just laying on the hard, cold, metal that makes up Megatron's bed. I can't sleep. I wanna sleep. I wanna sleep for days. It's been two days since I have had sleep. I know I could have not slept for years but I would get board when I did so I just slept and then I wasn't so board.... but that was when I was around 5....
I was board, sleepy, tired, aggravated, annoyed, and just down right not in the mood.... I'm hungry.... I'm going to go eat. I got up and headed for the door and then left for the cafeteria. I was walking almost like a penguin on how tired and sleepy I am. One waddle at a time, barely picking up my feet.
I soon was halfway to the cafeteria one more turn and straight on to Neverland.... but of course not all pixie dust last, for Arachnid happened to be turning the exact. same. corner. Out of all the corners on the nemesis it just has to be that one. She then saw me in my slumpt figure. In my pj's....black shirt and shorts....
Awkward...
I couldn't really tell what happened next. All I can remember was a lot of her sass, then I had it and yelled a lot at her, and to a point where I 'thought' she was going to cry...but she didn't... Then she left just walking down the hall... I thought I had been the one to walk away but I think I was just going to the cafeteria....Man, I needed sleep badly.
____________A Few Days Later______(SpongeBob Narrator Voice)__________
I've noticed now. In all my sleeplessness. I have noticed. I somehow made Arachnid stay clear of me... the only question I have is how?
I decided to go see her and ask. I walked all over the nemesis as best I could... I then asked Sound once I checked everywhere. He 'told' me that Arachnid went for a walk in the woods. I asked Sound if he could bridge me down near her, he was hesitant for a few seconds before nodding. I could understand why he was if-y on the subject.
Once I was bridged down I found her walking. The thing was she didn't bother look my way or notice me. I went after her and caught up, "Hey." I said as she stopped to look down at me. I noticed she had sadness in her eyes. "What, here to yell at me?" She asked angrily...
but I saw no anger...
and no trace of hate either.
"What did I do?" I said sadly, she tilted her head in confusion. "You don't remember?" She asked. I shook my head, "No, not really. I haven't been getting any sleep at all so I only remember being in the hallway going to get food. Can't remember what I said... tho it must have been pretty bad... and I'm sorry for that."
"Don't apologize... it was all true anyways... lets just leave it at that... and..." She started but paused before smiling at me, "Maybe we can start over?" I smiled at her, "Yeah, I'd like that." I responded. We then resumed the walk till she picked me up to place me somewhat on her shoulder. "Is that ok?" She said as I got a bit comfy, "yeah."
That's how it was.
That's how we decided to go at this 'friendship', a mutual understanding.
That's how it is now.
