Megatron's POV

I had woken up first, Ashe was curled up asleep on my chest. Ashe had his left wing scrunched up close to him the other fanned out to it's full length out to the side, his tail laid where it pleased and wiggled the tip up and down that of an earth 'cat'. Ashe was peacefully sleeping and I could not dare wake him in such a state. I remember the events of last night, I am displeased to hear what he had to go through without his life, and at such a young age. He was merely a Sparkling.

I let my fingers wonder, petting him as he hummed in his sleep and smiled. His hair was soft as well as his skin, he was pale like as if the light couldn't touch him. Ashe has been a very good 'friend' and not only me but the others upon the Nemesis, though StarScream still has a burning hate for him I do not understand.

I had been Com-linked of an emergency issue and I knew I had to get up one way or another. I had decided to sit up slowly and move Ashe to my shoulder, but even with my gentle movements Ashe woke. I had him pinched between my thumb and index on his sides, he rubbed his eye looking at me half lidded, and yawned. "Why up so early?" He asked not caring if handled by me, he trusted me that I would not harm him, I swung my legs over the side of the berth.

"An emergency Issue has come up, I'm sorry to have waken you." I replied as he only smiled as if that one small gesture could light the darkest night. "It's fine. I might fall back asleep on your shoulder though." Ashe said as I placed him over on the nightstand for him to 'dress'. When done I placed him on my shoulder, as he leaned back against my helm and closed his eyes, still holding a smile. He had hid his wings and tail, as we exited my quarters and made our way to the deck.

"Lord Megatron, I fear BreakDown has gone missing." I heard StarScream say as he approached, "The Auto-Bots?" I asked in my normal commanding voice, I knew Ashe didn't mind, he was fine with it. "According to surveillance provided by the astonishing accurate SoundWave, BreakDown was abducted by humans." StarScream continued, "Your Point?" I said getting on with it. "My strongest recommendation, we assemble a rescue team to hunt the vermin responsible for this out rage." StarScream finished, "BreakDown is on his own." I replied quietly seeing as Ashe fell asleep, and had curled up next to my helm. "Uh, Master?"

"If BreakDown aloud himself to be captured by those smaller than him, weaker than him, he deserves what ever fate awaits him." I said ending this discussion, "But, BreakDown is a key player in our-" I sent StarScream a look over my shoulder, he should choose his words more carefully, "Your wisdom reigns supreme Lord Megatron." StarScream ended the discussion and left, I tilted my helm as Ashe stirred a bit. "So, why are you not going after BreakDown?" He asked, he must have been listening in. "He got Captured by humans, he can get himself out." I replied.

"What if he can't? He needs our help." Ashe pushed, "He'll be fine." I reassured Ashe but it did nothing to calm him. "You can't just leave him! You know, If you take care of your crew then your crew would take care of you. Everyone aboard this ship plays a part, if all of them stopped then you would have nothing." Ashe said sternly, he was up on his feet nearly yelling at me. That would have gave him a death sentence...

But with Ashe, he was right. He took a deep breath before giving me one last thing from his mouth before sitting on my shoulder, but faced away from me. "The stone that sits up on the very top of a mountain, does it think that it's more important than the stones that forms the base. If the base would crumble and fall so does the one on top."

I realized the wisdom in his words, that fear goes so far, but willingness... That goes even farther. I scare people into following me, but that doesn't mean that they will follow all my commands...

Ashe can ask anyone on board the Nemesis and they will 'Happily' do it, they trust him...

Ashe is kind to them so in return they would give the kindness back if asked...

He is right, if I was alone doing all this it would be slow and hard...

"I understand...Lets go get our 'Friend' back then shall we?" I said as Ashe looked back to me and smiled. "Then lets go." Ashe shouted happily, I couldn't bring him into danger, but I doubt he would just stay here. "Alright, I know you won't stay, so we will scout, But once things change you hide somewhere and let me handle it. Deal?" I asked, He put a hand on his chest, "You know me to much." He chuckled, I did as well.

I had SoundWave ground bridge us there and scouted the area, I made sure SoundWave knew not tell anyone where we have gone. SoundWave understood, as well as knowing I had been talked into it by Ashe. We searched for a while as it soon got dark, "It appears we have to turn in for tonight." I said, "No, quiet. look." Ashe pointed and I spotted the Green Auto-bot 'Bulkhead'. "Let's follow him." Ashe said as the Auto-bot appeared to know where he was going. I turned into a jet as Ashe rode cockpit, "Luckily it's dark so he won't be able to see us." Ashe said as I followed the Auto-bot close behind in the air. 

We soon reached the cave where the Auto-bot went through, I turned back and set Ashe down. 

"Now stay put, if anything happens contact SoundWave got it." I said as he nodded and was going to hid somewhere, I had to bend over due to my higher height. I followed the Auto-bot and settled on letting him do all the work, soon he was lend down into a different tunnel by the humans. If he was lucky he would have to comeback after finishing the humans, I led onward and blasted the rest just down the tunnel, I saw BreakDown on a table cuffed down.

He tilted his helm back to look at me, "Lord Megatron?" He asked, "What are you doing?" I ignored him and crouched down grabbed the cuffs holding him down and broke them, holding out my hand for him to take. I got him to his feet, "Ashe talked me into coming, now can you walk?" I asked, "I-I think so." He replied closing himself up as best he can from the attackers. A red light turned on, an alarm, "Can you run?" I asked, "Yes, My lord." He said as I ran with him on my tail as fast as I could crouching in the small tunnel.

I was blasting the humans ahead of us that were in the way, but as we made it out we were getting blasted even more. "BreakDown grab the cars and toss them at the helicopters." I ordered blasting most of them away, he chucked a few at the helicopters and continue to wreak the others. Soon one of the copters were shooting some sort of beam, BreakDown had manage to dodge it. Before I knew it he tackled me aside as the beam had hit where I was standing moments ago blowing up the cars there.

Both of us continued our attack, as some helicopters were getting blasted out of the sky. I saw SoundWave was blast them, the cars and humans were falling back. SoundWave and a few seekers landed, "Thought you could use more air support." I saw Ashe on SoundWave's shoulder, I nodded. "Let us return to base and get patched up shall we." I said as SoundWave bridged us back. Both me and BreakDown went to Med-bay, KnockOut was fixing up BreakDown as Ashe was patching me up. "Thanks for the save back there." I heard BreakDown speak up, "Don't mention it, Ashe talked me into it." I said covering up the fact that I even went.

"Still, thanks." He said, I finally gave in and said what no one has hear me say ever, "Thank you as well," I saw both KnockOut and BreakDown do a double take before Knockout got back to work.

 "For what?" BreakDown said after finding his voice, "For getting me out of the way of that oncoming beam." I said, "Guess were even then?" He asked, I nodded ending the conversation. It was silence in the Med-bay after that, only sound was of KnockOut and Ashe repairing us.

I guess I'll try an follow Ashe's advice, 'Take care of your crew, and they'll take care of you.'
