Herrick grew angrier. He stormed over to the man with the gun, pulling a ribbon of water from a nearby pipe. He wrapped it around the mans mouth, and nose.
"You filthy scum!" He yelled angrily. The man struggled to breathe and tried to shoot at him or a hostage as the other men went to fight. The bullet grazed past Herrick's arm, making him wince then put himself, and the rest of the thugs in a thick bubble, before he turned it to it's jello like state. He watched the other villains.
"Bring it." He spat. They glared and used their quirks to attack him and shoot at him, the young man knew he had to do this quickly. He did his best, taking water, and wrapping it around the thugs, solidifying it, and moving on. They were soon all stuck and the hostages looked at him as they shook in fear. Herrick walked up to the man with the gun, kneeling next to him. He moved some of the water, letting him breath.
"Well. That went by quick, didn't it?" he said darkly and with a hint of taunting in his voice.
"You're dead." he choked and spat at him as he glared, other heroes quickly came to them.
Herrick frowned. "No, You are." He picked him up by the collar. "You hurt my friend."
"The happy girl?" the villain scoffed and rolled his eyes. "She was so pathetic." he spat.
The dark haired boy growled, and let down the bubble shield, taking the water, he started shoving it down the mans throat. "SHE WAS NOT! SHE WAS A GREAT FRIEND!" He cried angrily. The villain choked and gagged as the heroes rushed over and tried to pull Herrick away. The man's lungs filling with water.
Herrick tried to push them off of him. "No! Not until he's gone!" he roared. The heroes pulled him away and another water quirk user, removed the water from the boys victim. They told Herrick to calm down and took him to the bottom floor. Toshinori was still hugging Sachi with his face buried in her shoulder.
Herrick shoved them off. "Calm down? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CALM DOWN!?! YOU STUPID PRO'S JUST LET MY FRIEND GET HURT!" He yelled. They were confused and tried to get him to explain as medics rushed over to help them. Render and Aizawa were being held back for their own safety. Render covered her mouth and sobbed silently.
Herrick wasn't going to explain himself to them, they knew what they did wrong. He noticed the few that just left her. He walked over to them, and punched one in the face. "YOU FRICKING IDIOTS!" He roared furiously. The other pros went over to him and tried to figure out what happened as the new pros tried to explain and ask what was wrong. He continued punching the guy, cursing at him and his stupidity loudly.
"I didn't do anything!" the pro he was hitting shouted and he shoved him away. "I saved your life you ungrateful man." he huffed and the others with him agreed. One pro who had a white cape and yellow gloves walked over.
"What's going on?" Nana asked as she frowned. She stopped by them and narrowed her eyes a little.
He glared at her. "Nothing you can help with! None of you help when it really COUNTS!" He gave the man one last dirty look, before he stormed off. She watched him and went back to talking to the others. Trying to sort things out and finally managing to do so.
Toshinori held on to Sachi and stared blankly as someone tried to talk to him. He wouldn't let her go and they needed to help her. They tried talking to him but he wouldn't respond to them. He just held her and stared. The EMT gently tried to take Sachi from him one more time.
"No..." he mumbled as he stared blankly and tears fell down his face. Render got free and rushed over then hugged him tightly. She whispered to him, saying it was alright and they carefully took Sachi from him. "No... no!" He shouted and started to cry again. He screamed, that same heart broken sound leaving him as he reached for her. The EMT hated to hear him so broken, but he had to take Sachi to the hospital.
Render held on to him as he sobbed and buried his face so he didn't see. Aizawa walked over and hugged him as well. The paramedics left, and the crowds were evacuated from the mall. The pro's taking care of the villains and gangs. Toshinori stared blankly as they left and tried to regroup with the others. His legs were weak and he fell to his knees as he felt the pain in his heart once again. He felt empty inside.
Herrick walked over to him. "Get up Toshi." He said quietly. The tall blonde didn't move and continued to stare at the ground, his tears slowly falling
Herrick grabbed his arm, and somewhat roughly hauled him to his feet. "Get up Toshi. We can still get the guys who did this to her."
The tall young man furrowed his brow and looked at him as he blinked a few times. "What do you mean?" he rasped, his voice hoarse. Render and Aizawa looked at him.
He clenched his fist. "I'm not done with those brats who just left her their, or the dirt bag idiot who shot her. You can come with me." He stared at him then nodded as he clenched his fists tightly. Render felt it would be wrong and bit her lip.
Herrick's cold smile grew. "Then lets go." he smirked.
"Wait." She said and gripped Toshinori's arm. "Revenge isn't the right thing..." she whispered
Herrick frowned. "When? When has it been a bad thing? How are we supposed to just be okay with what they did!?"
"We aren't. But revenge won't do anything." she said and looked at him as Toshinori stared blankly. Thinking about how to hurt them.
He growled. "I don't care! It may not help, but It'll make me feel better. What happened to justice Render? Or is that just a figment of this twisted worlds imagination!?"
"We have justice! They're taking him to jail!" she said as she narrowed her eyes. Aizawa watched the two and frowned. "We aren't like them! We don't hurt people just because we want to!" She cried not wanting them to take this path.
Herrick whipped around, an angry glint in his eye. "WHY?! AND WHY NOT?! HOW ELSE ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO LEARN?! Nobody helps people just to be nice anymore. Sachi tried, AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!! Pro's and their stupid flashy quirks just want to be seen!"
She was silent and shook her head as tears fell down her face. "It won't make you feel better..." she whispered.
He frowned. "You don't know me. None of you know me! You're just like Endeavor, ALL of you! You only care about yourselves, and being famous! I hope it's worth it." He growled, and started walking off.
Render covered her face and sobbed silently then fell to her knees. Toshinori watched him but couldn't move for a moment. Aizawa ran after him and grabbed his arm. "You don't mean that... we are all just struggling right now." he said calmly.
Herrick looked at the thin young man. Maybe he would come with him. "I mean what I say. I don't say it if I don't mean it. Come on Aizawa, doesn't it make you even the least bit angry?"
"Of course I'm angry." he said as he watched him and frowned. "We are all angry and I know there is another way around this." he said.
"Really? What is it? How else are we supposed to teach them a lesson?"
He stared at him but didn't respond as he thought. "Maybe... we should hurt them..." he said wondering if his friend was right.
Herrick could tell Aizawa was going to join him. "Come on Aizawa, we can't let them get away with this." He coaxed his young friend. The thin boy thought for a few minutes and nodded slowly as he realized his friend was right. They had to pay.
Herrick smiled. "Come on, lets go then."
He nodded and walked after him but stopped as he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked to see Toshinori, his head low and he looked weak but his grip was strong. "No..." he rasped and looked at him. "Don't go." he whispered, even in grief and despair, he was still trying to save his friends.
Herrick frowned. "Fine. I'll do it by myself." He turned on his heel, and left. He remembered that strange feeling from earlier. Maybe he could use it. Aizawa watched him go then looked to Toshi as he felt him shaking. He hesitated and hugged him. The young man hated hugs, he loathed them, but he knew his friend liked them and that he needed one.
Aizawa led the other two to the hospital and they all waited in the waiting room as they tried not to worry. Toshinori found that he hadn't been able to do anything or help her. He felt useless. After a half hour or so, a doctor walked out of the operating room. Render looked up at the man and slowly stood. the blonde teen looked up and jumped to his feet.
The doctor smiled sadly, and took a deep breath. "You're friend is fine, we were able to get the bullet out no problem. She's lucky it wasn't any closer." They sighed in relief and Toshinori rubbed his face as he tried to hope. Fighting back tears.
"But-" The doctor started, now moving on to the bad news. "She hasn't woken up yet. We think in the fall she hit her head and... she's gone into a coma."
"Of course she hit her head." Aizawa said as he furrowed his brow. "She was thrown off the third floor. Idiot." he muttered.
"Can I see her?" the wild haired boy asked quietly as he stared at his toes, he was also trying to distract from his friends comment. The doctor nodded slowly and Toshinori thanked him before he followed him with the other two to the room. They were all silent as they went. Sachi lay on the bed, an oxygen mask secured to her face. She was completely still. Toshinori stared at her and the wires in her. He walked over and gently sat by her side then gripped her hand. It was somewhat cold. His expression was blank as he held it and tried to warm it with his shaking ones. Her hand twitched.
He looked at her with hope in his eyes. "Sachi?" he rasped, his voice still hoarse. She didn't respond. He looked down again and just held her hand as the other two sat on her other side.

Herrick had been quick to leave. he checked his phone, looking up the names of the heroes that left her, and the news-feed from the mall. He found it in a short amount of time. He looked up the agency they worked for, and started walking there. He wouldn't let them get away with this.
The young man took a deep breath, before walking into the agency. He walked up to the front desk, and asked for the three heroes by name. The woman smiled and told him where to find the three men. Oblivious to his intentions. He smiled, and thanked her as he headed to the elevator. She waved at him and smiled before going back to her typing.
Herrick knocked on the door when he got there, his heart pounding quickly. The door opened to show a young woman who was the intern for the office upstairs. He smiled, and once again asked for the heroes, saying how he had been at the mall today, and wanted to express how he felt. She grinned and let him in then to the conference room where the three heroes were talking. Herrick sat down next to them, just listening to their conversation. They were upset because their hero licenses were being revoked. Nana had gotten all the information of what happened and told them they would never be able to be heroes again.
Herrick laughed. "Sounds like you've had a hard time."
They jumped and looked at him in surprise. "What are you doing here?" one asked as the others looked to him. They hadn't heard him com in.
He smiled, and waved at them. "Oh, Just wanted to make sure you don't mess up again."
"Get out of here. You shouldn't even be in here." He seethed.
Herrick scowled. "Neither should fakers like you."
They stood and activated their quirks as they glared. "You don't understand how this world works." one said. "You have to be famous and be recognized to survive." he growled.
"That doesn't mean you should just pass up people in need." He growled angrily. He realized too late, there was no water pipes near by, and he couldn't sense any other water sources. He was in a bit of trouble.
"She had it." he growled at him and they then approached him. "You on the other hand are over your head." he snarled.
"She had it? She... HAD IT!? SHE GOT SHOT, AND THROWN OVER THE SIDE! ARE YOU SERIOUSLY TRYING TO TELL ME, THAT THAT IS 'HAVING IT?!"
"She had help coming. Plus it was only seven guys." he scoffed and rolled his eyes. Herricks eyes narrowed. His hand clenched, and he could feel the anger rising inside of him. He could feel the water inside of them, and a crazed grin grew on his face. He chuckled darkly.
"What?" the ex-pro asked as he narrowed his eyes and looked at him.
"I think you are the ones over your head. Do you even know what I can do?" the teen sneered.
"No and we don't care." one said as he charged to attack him, they saw him as a villain now and a threat. Herrick smiled, stepping to the side He twisted his hand, and the man suddenly stopped. No matter how hard he tried, the man couldn't move, and any slight movement sent pain through his entire body.
The man cried out in agony as he felt the pain in his body. The others yelled and rushed forward to defend their comrade. Herrick's other hand shot out, making the others stop. His smile grew becoming more crazed. He had control over them. He made them all sit down, it was a very jerky, and unnatural process.
"S-stop!" One shouted as they tried to fight but couldn't seem to control themselves.
"Why?" The teen asked as he made them stay.
"Just stop it!" The shouted angrily as fear filled some of their eyes.
"Not a good enough reason." Herrick spat.
"It hurts!" Another shouted as tears filled his eyes.
"IT HURTS TO GET SHOT TOO!!" The young man roared angrily. They fell silent and stared at him as they winced in pain.
"None of you, NONE of you, deserve to be called heroes. And nobody is doing anything about it." He shouted as rage filled him.
"And what are you going to do about it?" One asked, trying to be brave.
He thought a moment. "The only thing I can think of... Is make sure you're never heroes again." He threatened.
"And how would you do that?" the leader asked and rolled his eyes, feeling cocky and his friends glared at him in warning.
The dark haired boy thought a moment. "...I don't know. I could cripple you... Or kill you."
"You wouldn't dare." one seethed as he felt his confidence returning. They realized the teen was unsure of himself.
Herrick leaned in close. "Don't tempt me." he hissed.
"You're all talk and even if you did, you'll never become a hero." the leader growled.
He scowled. "All talk?" He moved his hand, making the water in the dudes body move. "I could suck you dry." he hissed, continuing to torture the poor guy. The man screamed in pain and the others tried to use their quirks to stop him.
Herricks control over them started slipping. They were moving around too much. He grit his teeth. If he was going to actually... no he couldn't. He growled in frustration, and walked out of the room, letting his grip on them slip as he left the building. They tried to follow him and even tried to use their quirk on him to kill him. He had tried to run away, but that wasn't working. He had to face them. But he'd do it on his own terms. He stopped, and turned to face them, water hidden in the pipes underneath him.
"We're going to take you into jail and then they'll know we're the better heroes." The leader growled.
He shook his head. "No. I won't go down that easily."
"Then we'll fight you." One smirked and they charged him. Herrick pulled the water up, and whipped it at the guy. They blocked with their own quirks and continued to attack him.
Herrick did his best to block, and dodge, but he was struggling, and he knew it. He cursed his quirk silently, wishing it wasn't so useless, He was starting to feel faint, from using it so much today. He had to stop them, either maim them or kill them. It was his only option.
He growled in frustration. Why were they making him chose like this? He huffed, feeling his anger grow, and of course now they were acting all 'heroic' and like they actually care. He yelled angrily, and he clenched his fist, once again, taking control of their bodies, his fist shook with anger, and he kept squeezing, until he felt something inside each one snap. His eyes widened in shock, and he quickly let go of his hold.
They collapsed to the ground and panted then tried to use their quirks, but nothing happened. "W... what... did you do?" one panted before falling over.
His eyes widened in terror, and he stared at his hands, which had started shaking. "I-I... I d-don't..." He turned, stumbling as he ran away, blind to his destination. The three heroes watched him before passing out. They were now quirkless.
He continued running, he was scared, but he didn't fully realize why, or what he had just done. As he ran he collided with someone and they fell over. Aizawa grunted and shook his head as he rubbed it in irritation.
"Herrick?" he asked as Render watched then quietly.
Herrick looked over at Aizawa, he hadn't noticed Render yet. "A-Aizawa I... I did something.... I-I didn't mean too." He stared at his hands, with fear.
The other teen furrowed his brow as he sat with him and looked at his hands. "W... what did you do?" He asked hesitantly.
He looked up at Aizawa, tears in his eyes. "I don't know, I don't know what I did, I-I never thought I was capable of doing something like that... i-it never seemed possible. I just got so angry, and then... and then... they..." He trailed off, he wasn't even sure what they did.
The thin teen furrowed his brow and gripped his friends shoulders to steady him. "What happened?" he asked seriously.
Herrick bit his lip, about to tell him everything, but then... He realized... He couldn't. if he told them what had happened, what he did, They'd HAVE to turn him in. What he had done was illegal. He had used his quirk to hurt people, not just hurt them but, permanently done something he'd... taken away someone's quirk. There was no going back from something like that. He realized he couldn't tell anyone what he had done. It scared him, what he was capable of, that sense of... almost joy, as he watched them suffer.
He stood, his hands on his head, he trembled. "I... I can't... I... Tell Sachi... a-and Toshi I'm sorry. But... I can't be a hero." He turned, and ran off again. How had this happened? He'd turned so quickly. He had become everything he hated about this stupid world. He was no better than the people he wanted to stop.
"Herrick! Stop!" Aizawa shouted and ran after him. "Stop!" he yelled trying to follow his friend.
Herrick continued to run, the tears slipping down his face. "I'm sorry." He said. Aizawa lost him and looked around for a moment before he hung his head. He clenched his fists and went back to Render. The two walking home with worry for their friend. They'd have to get help to find him.
When Herrick finally stopped to catch his breath, he felt alone. The run down part of town was silent. "You seem lost." a voice said in the darkness nearby.
He jumped, at the noise, and he looked around fearfully. "W-Who are you?"
"Someone who want's to help you discover a better world. Heroes are selfish and need to learn their lesson." the voice said.
He peered into the shadows, looking for the owner of the voice. "Why would you want to help me?" he asked quietly.
"Because I'm like you." the man said and stepped into the light. He was tall and had an odd calm expression on his face. The man was known as All for One.
His brow knit in confusion. "Like me? What do you mean, like me?" he asked, not fully recognizing the man before him.
"In our way of thinking. Come, let me help you become something better. Then you can get revenge on those who hurt you and your friends." he said calmly.
Herrick looked at the man. "But... I-I don't want to get revenge anymore, I-I hurt people, I did something awful."
"What do you want to do then?" he asked as he looked at him.
The teen sank to his knees. "I don't know, I can't be a hero anymore, I ruined that. All I ever wanted to do, was show that I was useful, that I could DO something."
All for One crouched by him and gently gripped his shoulders. "You are useful. I see so much potential inside you." he said. "Let me help you."
The boy looked up at the man. "R-Really?"
"Yes." he said as he smiled a little and watched him.
He bit his lip as he thought. '...How would you help me?"
He held his hand out to him and stared at him intently. "Let me show you." he smiled kindly. Herrick hesitantly took his hand. The villain smiled a little and led him to an unknown place.
