The principal walked in and sat at the desk. "So boy's... what happened?" the gruff man asked as he studied them.
Herrick thought a moment. "They started beating him up for no reason, so I thought since we are training to be heroes, I should step in and help. Apparently though, that wasn't the right thing to do." He sighed, leaning back in his chair.
The man watched them and furrowed his brow as he set his hand on his chin. "No you're right. That is the hero thing to do." he said. The boy raised his eyebrows, mildly surprised, wondering what would be said next.
"I will punish the boys for their behavior but leave you with a warning, to not force violence." he said. "Dismissed." The boy nodded, and left the room quietly.
The principal asked Toshi to remain and the boy hesitated then nodded before the door was closed again. Herrick headed to his class.
He saw his 'friends' going in as well and they waived at him. "Did you get into too much trouble?" Midnight pouted.
He gave Midnight a sideways glance. "No, Though he asked Toshi to stay and talk."
Sachi frowned worriedly. "Ooh, I hope he's okay."
"I'm sure he is." Render said and looked at her as she smiled a little. Sachi grew slightly more calm.
"Don't worry about Toshi... he takes care of himself." Aizawa muttered.
She blushed and smiled. "Sorry, I-I just worry about everyone."
"I know... and that's okay." Render smiled then glanced at the boy as she glared a little. Aizawa shrugged and put his hands in his pockets.
Herrick looked around, as the teacher came in, and they all went to their seats. The class started and Toshi came in a few minutes later. He didn't say anything and sat down then stared at his desk. Herrick glanced at him, but not for long. This teacher was very strict about paying attention. Soon class was over and everyone headed out as they talked excitedly. Herrick walked out quickly, not wanting to stall. Render watched him go and frowned before walking with Aizawa behind the other two.
Sachi caught up with Toshi. "Hey, you okay?" She asked, concerned.
The tall blonde looked at her and smiled a little then looked at the floor. "Ya... just thinking about stuff." he said.
Sachi pouted. "Good stuff, or bad stuff?"
He glanced at her and smiled slightly as he put an arm around her shoulders. "How about both?" he asked.
She smiled. "Well, How about we go take the bad out!" She took his hand, and ran off. He blinked in surprise and grunted as he ran after her. Render smiled and looked to the other boy.
"No. I'm not running." Aizawa muttered and shoved his hands in his pockets.
Sachi laughed, and they ran into the town. She finally stopped at her favorite ice cream shop. Toshinori smiled a little as he ran with her. Render had gotten Aizawa to run with her and caught up with them. The bubbly girl brought them into the shop and smiled.
"Okay, I'm paying! But that doesn't mean get the most expensive thing." She teased and looked at the menu.
"Darn." Aizawa muttered and Render rolled her eyes as she nudged him. Toshi smiled as he looked at her and gently rubbed the bubbly girls head.
"Thanks Sachi." he whipsered feeling a little better about his situation.
She grinned. "No problem! I'll always be there to bring a smile!" She used her soon to be hero catchphrase. He smiled at her and hugged her then ordered some ice cream.
She turned to Render and Aizawa. "What do you guys want?" She asked, pulling out her wallet.
"Sleep." the boy said and Render shook her head as she told her what they wanted. Sachi rolled her eyes, and placed the order, paying for it quickly.
Toshi found a table and they all sat down to talk about things they liked about the day. Sachi talked about the kids she had helped while Toshi was fighting. They fell silent and just smiled as they listened to her talk. She was very animated, and a good story teller. She finished quickly though, wanting to hear everyone else's day.
They smiled and felt better as they told her about their own day and what they did. She listened intently, eating her ice cream. Toshinori fell silent as Render did most of the talking. He smiled a little as he watched her, not wanting to talk about his day.
Sachi licked her ice cream, and smiled. After Render was done talking, she looked over to Toshi. "And you? How was your day?"
Toshinori looked at her and smiled a little. "It was okay... but it's better now." he admitted, not wanting to go into too much detail.
Her smile brightened. "Oh good! I'm glad we could help your day go better. What about you Aizawa?"
The black haired boy looked at them and sighed forcefully as he ate his ice cream. "I guess it's better." he said.
She grinned, and giggled. "So, what should we do after ice cream?" She tapped her chin with a finger as she thought.
"Well.... go home and do our homework." Toshi said and the others looked at him.
"Sleep." Aizawa muttered and thought about his bed. The warm blankets and isolation from people.
Sachi blinked, she had sorta hoped they'd go do something fun. She nodded. "That makes sense to do our assignments. Especially with our big exam coming up."
"Or!" Render said not wanting her friend to be upset. "We can go to the beach and worry about the studying later." she grinned.
Sachi looked at the two boys with pleading eyes. "Oh please? Chances are after High school we wont even see each other again. We'll all be so busy saving people. Please? Just one more time?"
"We still have another semester of high school." Aizawa pointed out. Toshi smiled and nodded in agreement to her request.
"But ya let's go." he smiled. "Sure we still have another semester, but let's go have fun anyway."
Sachi jumped up, and squealed excitedly. "Yaaay!"
"Let's go!" Render shouted and smiled before they cleaned up and ran out.
"No. Let's not and say we did." Aizawa muttered as he followed them.
"Don't we need our swim stuff?" Toshi asked, ignoring the other boy.
Sachi stopped in mid step, and flailed her arms, as she tried to regain her balance. She did so, but barely. she pouted. "Oh yeah. Meet at the park in an hour?"
"Got it." Render grinned and the two girls ran off to get ready. Toshinori looked at his friend and shrugged before they left.
Sachi darted into her house, and ran into her room, looking around frantically for her bright bubblegum pink swimsuit.
"Hi mom how was your day, that's great, I'm going to the beach with my friends be back before twelve!" she yelled, running out the door, struggling to get her other sandal on.
Render met her down the street and the two rushed off as they grinned. They met the boys at the beach, where they both had t-shirts on for now. They ran around a bit before they set up a spot.
Sachi breathed the sea air in deeply. She had always loved the beach. She walked to the waters edge, and took her sandals off, she squished her toes in the sand. "I love sand... its so soft, and squishy."
"I hate sand. It's rough and gets everywhere." Aizawa said and scanned the area. Render smiled and ran around as she giggled. Toshi smiled as he looked around the beach.
Sachi pouted at Aizawa. "That's just because it's the wrong sand." She smiled mischievously, and ran up to him, pulling him into the water.
He yelled in surprise as his shirt got wet and Toshi laughed. He tossed his shirt to the side and tackled them into the water. Render laughed and followed. Sachi laughed, pushing Aizawa under the waves. He thrashed and shook his head when he came up and glared at her as his wet hair covered his face. She burst out laughing, holding her sides.
Toshinori picked her up and ran into the waves with her. Render put Aizawas hair into a bun then ran after them. He blinked in surprise and watched her as he smiled a little, but quickly made the smile leave.
Sachi screamed, and kicked her legs, wildly. She clung to Toshinori, not wanting him to drop her, but wanting him to let go at the same time. Toshi laughed and held on to her tightly, he wasn't strong and thick like Endeavor but he was strong in his own way.
The cotton candy haired girl stopped kicking, and a mischievous smile found its way onto her face. She reached back with her hands, and started tickling the blonde, not sure if it'd really do anything or not.
He yelped in surprise and jumped making them both fall into the water. He quickly came up and made sure she came up as he laughed. She shook her head as she came up, shaking the water out of her hair as she grinned.
"I never knew you were Ticklish." She teased.
"I'm not. Promise." he said and smiled nervously.
Her eyes narrowed, but she was still smiling. "Mmm-hmm, Sure you aren't."
"I'm not." he muttered and stood up then helped her up
"Hey," She pushed him playfully. "Lighten up Toshi, you can't pull of a constant frown as well as Aizawa can." She teased, saying it loud enough for the other boy to hear.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" The black haired boy shouted and Toshi laughed then hugged her.
"Thanks." he muttered as he held on to her.
She hugged him tightly. "It takes strong people to smile through the pain. And you're the strongest person I know." She said quietly.
He looked at her and furrowed his brow. "I'm.... not strong... but thanks..." he whispered
She pulled away slightly, looking shocked. "Really!? Goodness, I need to meet more people then." She joked.
He chuckled softly and hugged her tightly as his smile faded a little and he stared passed her. "Thank you...." he whispered
She hugged him back closing her eyes for a moment. "You're welcome. I'm always here for you." She said quietly.
"I know... and I need someone..." he admitted but didn't elaborate.
She looked up at him. "... Just let me know the when and where, and I'll be there."
He smiled a little and looked at her then nodded and they went back to the others. She tentatively reached for his hand. He hesitated and looked at her then gently gripped her hand in his. He smiled a little more. She met his gaze, and smiled back, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze
He went to the others and they sat on the beach as they played games and laughed. Sachi had fun playing games with everyone, but stayed close to Toshi.
Render and Aizawa were spending some more time together as well. They sat on the beach and stared at the sunset after a while.
Sachi sighed, and leaned against Toshi. "What do you think life will be like?" She wondered.
"What do you mean? After school?" he asked and looked at her.
She nodded. "Sometimes... I wonder... What will we do?"
"Well.... I'll be a hero." he grinned and made a fist with his hand. "I'll protect everyone I can."
She smiled. "Well duh," She laughed, but grew serious again. "But.. Is that really it? The only thing to look forward too? I mean, I don't mind helping people but... will we have time for any of the other things in life? Like a simple day at the beach?"
He thought for a moment and stared out to the ocean as he lowered his hand. He smiled a little and looked at her. "I'd make time. I love to help people but I'd make time for myself and others." he said.
She smiled, and stared at the sand. "I'm... I'm glad we're friends."
"Me too." he said as he looked at her and gently put his arm around her. "Are you excited for the summer?"
Sachi nodded. "Oh yes, I can't wait! I'm going to try to get a summer job, so I can earn some more money. What about you? Any plans."
"Not really." he chuckled as he watched her. "Getting a job sounds like a good idea." he said
She stared at him contemplatively. "I see you... working... At some sort of building job."
"Building job?" he asked and looked at her as he thought. "What kind?"
She shrugged. "I don't know. Something where you can work with your hands, and create stuff."
He chuckled softly and shook his head. "I don't know if I can create things." he said.
She shrugged. "You'll never know until you try." She drew designs in the sand with her finger.
He watched her for a moment then gently gripped her hand in his. He stared for a moment and gently rubbed her knuckles with his thumb, making her blush slightly.
He stared then slowly looked at her as he smiled a little. She looked up at him, and smiled back. He stared at her then his other hand gently cupped her cheek. He hesitated as his forehead touched hers.
"May I?" he asked realizing he may be intruding on the innocent girl. Her eyes widened, and she nodded, leaning in.
