Prologue
"My name is Daichi May," the short girl introduced herself. Her eyes darting around the classroom. She fiddled with her hands, fingers interlocking. "I am quirk-less." She spoke again.
The classroom filled with harsh and loud whispers once she bowed after her introduction. Her long dark hair fell over her shoulders, resting on her semi big chest. "I hope that we can get along," She bowed once more before briskly walking over to the empty desk next to a boy with spiky blonde hair. The girl felt his hatred filled glares from the front of the classroom when she introduced herself before-hand. She gulped down her pride and turned to the teenager beside her.
"Hello," She greeted, bowing her head slightly. The teenager scoffed and looked away from her.
May sighed expecting as much from the angry looking boy beside her. Turning away from the boy she pulled out her notebook only for something to land on her desk. Looking at the crumbled up slip of paper, she furrowed her eyebrows and narrowed her eyes questionably.
The slip read: 'Why did a loser like you decide to go to this school?'
May turned to the boy who paid her no mind before responding. She flicked the paper off her desk only for it to smack the boy in his face. She gasped quietly and raised her cold hands to muffle the laughter that escaped in breathy giggles. The teenager beside her trembled in rage as he aggressively opened the small slip of paper, almost tearing it in half.
The slip read: 'Because I had nothing else, plus, you seem like the type of boy who would blow me up if I did anything that was met to your standards.'
The teenager let a small smile slip its way on his now relaxed face. But it was quickly wiped away before anyone could notice. He glanced at the girl beside him, her long dark hair that curled near the ends and stopped just below her waist. Her soft facial features and long eyelashes that were normal unlike half of the other girls who wore the disgusting amounts of make-up on their faces in order to look 'Pretty'.
He felt more relaxed knowing that the girl beside him weren't like them. He shook his head slightly, it went unnoticed by the person behind him. He looked at the girl again only to see that she was looking back at him. She smiled softly, his ears began to burn, this was a unpleasant feeling. His chest stirred and his stomach twisted in knots. His angry red eyes burned into her round electric blue ones. His scowl lessened only slightly and he focused by onto the slip of paper that was crushed between his fist.
He then began to write.
--Several months Later--
May rubbed her watery eyes as she slowly made her way to the bus stop, her bag dangled between her fingertips, her papers were soaked--soiled in apple juice and milk from some girls in her class. As she let her entire body be soaked from the pouring rain that gave her icy chills. Mist escaped her mouth every time she breathed out a sigh. She wiped her eyes again and pushed back her hair letting it out of her eyes.
She finally stopped in the middle of the sidewalk, everyone brushing past her. Her round electric eyes, Her clothes stuck her body and her hair wrapped around her neck as if it were choking her.
She turned her head to face the road with rushing cars that were speeding past. She ghosted by the people around her, getting a few hatred filled glares and some annoyed glances. She only had one goal in mind, her fingers let her bag slip from her fingers once she was next to the road. the rain poured down harder and she let her foot swing back in forth in the road to the sidewalk.
Back.
Forward.
Back.
Forward.
Back---
May smiled sadly as she walked slowly into the road, not even flinching at the bright lights that blinded her found her form in front of it. The driver tried to see what was in front of their car but the pouring rain blocked their vision only to see blood smear on the windshield when their car hit the poor girl.
The car slid on the ground before stopping completely. The girl's broken body laid limply on the ground the rain washing the blood down the storm drain beside her. A smile present on her lips, blood flowed from her side and head. Her long hair getting matted with the thick liquid.
It was as if time had stopped.
A woman screamed and the driver was bending over the girl begging her to wake up. Her electric blue eyes not as bright as before. Tears escaped her eyes as she felt the pain take over. The whirling of the ambulance sirens echoed through her ears. Her eyes caught a familiar figure beside her.
The ruby eyes.
His angry scowl--which was oddly concerned and worried.
His unruly champagne blonde hair which was matted down from the rain.
It was oddly soothing to see him, even though she knew it wouldn't last forever. She lifted her weak arm and caressed the boy's wet cheeks. His eyes stung abruptly making him blink only for tears to fall from his eyes.
Why did he care?
Why did he rush over once he heard his friends talk about what they did to you?
Why did he think about the way you smiled at him?
Why?
It was irritating and a simple question that no one ever had question to when they were put on the spot.
He felt like he was at gun point, he couldn't answer his questions.
He opened his mouth only for his voice to die in his throat once he felt the girl's hand fall down on his lap. Her skin cold. Her face in peaceful relaxation. He wanted answers.
He wanted her to come back to him, so why?!
Why did she had to die before he could say anything?
Katsuki doesn't know how much he screamed that day, nor did he know how he was pulled away from the girl's dead body as he clutched her close to him, blood staining his white button-up shirt underneath the black Gakuran. He remembered the pitiful faces of the strangers around him murmuring about the poor girl.
How he was ripped away from her as they loaded her into the Ambulance.
But now, he can't get her to leave him alone.
The damn girl came back to him as if nothing happened. Although, she is a ghost. And only Katsuki can see her as of right now.
"Kat~Su~Ki, you're day-dreaming again, you'll get in trouble again." a girl whispered in the hot-headed teen's ear. Her arms wrapping around his body, her cold hands grabbing ahold of his warm hands. She had a strange aura around her, it let him know that she was there. Katsuki scowled, his frown deepening.
I was thinking about your weird ass! Katsuki thought to himself.
