The doctor came out followed by the nurse.
„How is my daughter doctor?"
„She is still unconscious. The wound on her head was very bad we had to stitch it. Other than that we thankfully didn't detect any inner bleeding."
„Thank god." Seulbi said.
„But 3 of her ribs are broken so she needs to rest for 6-8 weeks. We will keep her in the er tonight to monitor her.„
„Thanks doctor. When can we see her?"
„If she goes fine through the night without any problems she will be moved to the general ward that's when you can see her."

He walked away and I didn't know if I should be relieved or not. She wasn't conscious yet...
„She will be fine." Seulbi said. And patted my shoulder I nodded and looked at uncle.
„Uncle you should go home. I will stay the night. If something happens I will call you."
„I will leave her to you. I have an important meeting tomorrow. I will come immediately after it." I nodded.

„We will stay." Mingyu said.
„Guys you don't have to. Go home and rest."
„We won't go. Friends have to stick together in situations like this." Minghao said and I smiled. Everyone nodded and no one was thinking about leaving.
„You guys are crazy they will throw you all out." I said.
„We will stay quietly. We are too worried to sleep let's stay up together. We don't want to leave you alone." Seungcheol said.

We all gathered at a place with chairs where no one else was. At least we won't disturb anyone here.
„How scared she must have been. And how hurt she was. I can't believe that this happened to my friend."
I sighed and sat down looking at my bloody hands again. How could he hurt her? It makes me go crazy just to see a scratch on her but that? I am still shaking just thinking about it.

„She smiled when she saw me... she was relieved that we were finally there. She waited for so long while we were sitting in the warm." and the tears dropped. I felt like I was broken or something I was sobbing uncontrollably and I couldn't do anything to stop it. The tears kept falling and my body was shaking.
„How much did you hold back?" Jeonghan said.
„Now that she is safe your body is responding. Let out all the emotions you were holding back." Vernon said and they all came over to comfort me.

„I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you guys." I said.
„That's why we stayed. We knew you need us." Hoshi said. I looked at him and smiled.

The next day

The morning came and I didn't sleep at all... the others fell asleep on the chairs while Jun woke up a few minutes earlier to get us breakfast.
„Eat something. You didn't eat since yesterday." he said and everyone started waking up slowly.
„Jun did you buy coffee?" Seungkwan asked and he made his round giving everyone something to eat and drink.
„Joshua did you sleep at all?" Woozi asked and I shook my head.
„I couldn't."

„Still no news about Hyunjoo?" Seungcheol asked.
„No nothing. The doctor also wasn't here yet."
I ate my sandwich and hurried to finish it
When I saw the doctor walking over to the er.
I waited in front of the er waiting for them to come out.
It felt like hours.

Finally the door opened and my legs lost all their strength.
„How is Hyunjoo doing doctor?"
„She is stable for now. She is still unconscious so we can't say more but she will be moved to the general ward." I sighed. She still didn't wake up...
„Can we see her?" I asked.
„She is being moved to the vip floor. You can go up and meet her. We will make our rounds frequently to check her so don't worry too much."
„Thank you doctor."

I turned around and saw the others standing there.
„Let's go up." Seulbi said and we all made our way up.

I openend the door to her room. Slowly walking in, still afraid to face her but there she was. Laying there without any word, attached to machines and not smiling at me. It broke me into pieces.
„Hyunjoo..." while everyone gathered around her bed I couldn't move closer at all.
„Hyunjoo... I am sorry that you had to wait for so long." Seulbi took her hand tight into hers.

I slowly approached the bed and saw her face clearly. Full of bruises in every colour red, green, blue, yellow.
God how much must it hurt? I hated myself for not being the one laying there. If only I could I want to take every pain from her.
„I am so so sorry Hyunjoo. This shouldn't have happened. It's all my fault." I carefully patted her head afraid to touch her at all in case it might hurt.

„If only I didn't let you go out that day. I should be the one laying there not you." I cried. Everyone was crying no one could hold back their emotions anymore and that's when it happened.

„Why are you sorry, you idiot?" my eyes widened. It was Hyunjoo's voice. I wiped away my tears and looked at her.
„Hyunjoo are you awake?"
„Of course I am awake... did you guys see a ghost?" she was struggling to speak but she wanted to calm us down by acting like she is fine.
„You are the idiot. You don't have to act like you are fine in this situation." Seulbi said.
„It must have hurt a lot. I am so sorry." I said trying to smile at her. She smiled back at me even if it was a weak smile.

„Say sorry one more time and I will beat you up when I can move again."
„You can do that. I will take your punches gladly." everyone started laughing. In seconds the atmosphere changed just because of her...

„I knew you guys would come to save me. I was so relieved when I saw you Shua. I am sorry I must have worried you a lot."
„Don't say sorry for anything. Just get well quickly. That's all I need." I said holding her hand.

„Now stop crying everyone. I will be fine. It still hurts but it will get better. I can't wait to go to college with you guys again." she said and smiled and it felt like I was living again. Everyone gathered around her telling her she doesn't need to worry about anything. Mingyu and Chan even said that they will become her bodyguards. She was having fun with everyone and I didn't wish for anything more. She was fine and she will be in the future. I will never let anything happen to her again. We all talked for so long until she got tired and fell asleep again...
