This chapter might be slow and boring. This is just a baby step for KM to become closer. I'm sorry if the chapter is not up to the mark.

Kathir's Room

Kathir is standing at the window and recalls his meeting with Mullai. How she helped him when he was almost fainted just now, how she followed him till the temple, their prayers and the garland incident. He smiles a little thinking about that. His heart jerks thinking about her.

Kathir: (rubs his heart) Yen avale parthalo, nenechalo, en ithayam oru mathiriya thudikkithu?? (Recalls her eyes.) Enna kannuda athu?? Aaleye ippadi ilukkuthu!! (He blushes. Then, he recalls her crying when the garland fell on their necks.) Aana anthe kannule etho oru vali irukku. (His heart pains.) Ave peru enna sonnangge?? (Tries to recall.) Athe solrathu kullarethaan yaaro vanthu enmele idichi, naan ava kaiyile vilunthu... (recalls the incident and slightly feels embarrassed.) Eppothum ponnunggethaan anthe mathiri viluvangge. Ingge ennana thalai keeleya nadanthuchi. (He smiles to himself thinking about it.)

Mullai' s House

ArVP are standing at the lawn.

Pugazh: (towards Arjun) Dei, koville enna nadanthuchi?? Yen ungge rendu perum kannum kalangirinthuchi?? Kaal vali'nu thirumbavum sollathe, sariya?? Anthe valikku'lam aluvare aal illei Mullai.

Vetri: Ennada aachi??

Arjun: Athu avale kootitu vare ponappo..... (He narrates whatever happened at the temple.) Avalukku pazhasu'lam nyabagam vanthuruchi. Enakkum thaan. (VP feel bad about Mullai.)

Vetri: Avalukku rombe kashtama irunthirukkom'le??

Pugazh: Namakke kashtama irukkuna, baathikke pattathu ava. Avalukku eppadi irunthirukkom?? Paavam da. Vazhe vendiya vayasule...... (He couldn't continue the sentence.)

Arjun: Aana, oru nimisham anthe katchiye parthuttone, ennavo theriyale. Manasule oru mathiriyana santhoshama irunthuchi. (Smiles sadly.) Athu yen'nu puriyale.

MA: Enggalukkum irukku!! (They turn and see MA coming towards them. MA hug Arjun.)

Pugazh: Pandian Stores family, ah?? (Mullai nods.) Avunggalukku yenna??

Mullai: Thanks, aththans. (VP smile at her.)

Vetri: Sari, nee ulle po. Malar, Akila, ivale kootitu pongge. Naangge ippo vanthudrom. (MA agree and take Mullai inside the house.)

Pugazh: Naame iva vaalkaiye sari pannalam'nu yosichikittu iruntha, iva mathavanggalukkaaga yosikkira.

Jeeva pacing at the room thinking about something. Meena came that time.

Meena: Enna sollure, Jeeva?? Enakku onnume puriyale?? Puriyum padiya sollen. (Jeeva tells her something in mute. Meena's eyes are having tears listening to him.) Ennada sollure?? Anthe ponna....?? (Jeeva nods.) Enakku enna solrathunu teriyale.

Jeeva: Ithuthan vidhi'nu solluvaghalo?? Illena ithanai varusham kalichi anthe ponne santhichiruppoma??

Meena: Namme ethavathu pannanumda.

Jeeva: (looks at the caller ID) Anne. (Answers the call.) Hello, anne!! Ippo vanthudren, ne. (Ends the call.) Meena, naan mothe kadaikku kelemburen. Naan unkitte sonnathe yaarkitteyum sollirathe.

Meena: Solle maaten, Jeeva. Nee kavalai padame poitu vaa. (Jeeva hugs Meena and leaves to the shop.)

Kathir: Godown'ku thagaval sollitten'ne. Innerathukku kilambiruppagha. Neengge onnum.... (He stops feeling something inside his heart.)

Moorthy: Ennada?? Enna aachu?? (He sees Kathir is looking at in front of their shop.) Ennada paakure angge?? (Jeeva too looks there.)

Jeeva: Angge ethuvum illeye. Nee enna paakure?? (Kathir's gaze is still fixed there. Jeeva is about to shake Kathir's shoulder when a car stopped in front of the shop. JeeMoo are confused while Kathir is still looking at there. VP get down from the car with Mullai and walk towards the shop. Mullai's eyes caught Kathir's eyes which are looking at her like they have expected her presence. Their trances broken by Saravanan's voice.)

Sara: Vaangge, sir.

Vetri: Eppadi irukkingge, Saravanan??

Sara: Enakkenna, sir?? Naan super'ah irukken.

Pugazh: Very good, Saravanan!! Ippadithan eppothum positive'ah irukkanum. Appothan vaazhkai semmaya irukkum. (They walk towards the shop and greet Moorthy.) Vanakkam, sir.

Vetri: Annaikku avasarathule sile items miss aayirchi. Athan vaangittu pogalam'nu vanthom.

Jeeva: Ethukku sir karanamlam sollikittu irukkiye?? Neengge vanthale enggalukku santhosham thaan. (VPMul smile at him and go inside to purchase. Kathir's eyes follow Mullai.)

Moorthy: Dei, Jeeva. Ivan yen'da muthalernthu ippadiye parthukittu irukkan??

Jeeva: Avan customer'eh gavanikkiran, ne. (Chuckles.) Dei, Kathiru. Parthathu pothum, da. Vaa poi veleye paarpom. Saravanan angge thaniya ellathaiyum adukki vechikittu irukkan.

Kathir: (mind voice) Parthuttanggala?? (Towards Jeeva) Anne, customer vanthanggenu parthen. Vaangge poi veleye paakalam. (He goes immediately. Jeeva chuckles and follows him.)

VPMul are choosing the items.

Mullai: Aththans, naan poi biscuits, chips edukkuren. Akkas'ku rombe pidikkum.

Vetri: Sari. Jaakirathai. (Mullai goes to the junk food section. Kathir is arranging things there. He sees Mullai is looking at the biscuits there and goes towards her. Mullai looks at him.)

Kathir: Thanks.

Mullai: (confused) Ethukku?? Oh!! Nethu unggalukku help panninathukka?? Athan nethe sollitiyale.

Kathir: Illei. Neengge yen veetule sollame irunthathukku. Avaghalukku terinja rombe varuthe paduvaaghe. Engge neengge solliruvighalo naan bayanthukittu irunthen.

Mullai: Oh!! Neengge kavalapadathiye. Naan ethuvum solle maaten. (Kathir smiles and turns to go.) Oru nimisham!! (He turns back to her.) Nethu, naan unggale kindel panrathukku appadi sollale. Enakku vali'na, en veetu aalunggalum thaangge maatagha. Athan naan appadi sonnen. Aana ungge thambi athe vechi unggale kindel pannuvaghenu ninaikkale. Sorry'ngge.

Kathir: (smiles) Paravale'ngge. Kannan summave enneye kindel pannuvan. Neengge appadi sollitone, ithuthan chance'nu vechi senjan. (Thinks something.) Appo valichatha??

Mullai: (smiles) Illei'ngge. Valikkale. (Kathir raises his eyebrows at her.) Ungge annan'thaan udanai vanthu unggale thookittuthaagale.

Kathir: Oh!! Appadi!!?? Pudichathukku thanks. (Mullai smiles. They recall the incident again and feel awkward.) Sari, neengge porul edungge. Naan poi en veleye paakuren. (He leaves from there. Mullai continues choosing the biscuits and chips. She takes them and goes towards VP.)

Vetri: Eduthacha!!?? (Mullai nods.) Vere ethavathu?? (Mullai thinks something.)

Mullai: Athu, aththan... (looks around) Onnum illei. Ivvalavo thaan. (Pugazh's mobile rings. Pugazh looks at the caller ID and at Mullai.)

Pugazh: (smiles and answers the call) Solluri, chappamooki!! (Mullai chuckles hearing him.)

Mullai: (towards Vetri) Pugazh aththan'ku akkave appadi kupudrathule ennathan santhoshamo?? (Vetri just smiles and continues choosing the items.)

Akila: Mullai pakkathile irukkala??

Pugazh: Sariya sollitte.

Akila: Ava pakkathule iruntha thaane nee ennai appadi koopiduve. Appothane ava sirippa.

Pugazh: (smiles) Sarithan. Madam thaniya irukkingge pole.

Akila: Aama. Eppadi kandupidiche??

Pugazh: Nee, vaa, po'nu solli pesureye. Nee thaniya irunthathaane appadi pesuve.

Akila: Hmmm. Sariyana aaluthan. Kadaileya irukkingge??

Pugazh: Aama. Ethavathu venduma??

Akila: Mullai'kku dates nerungguthu'nu sonna. Ava....

Pugazh: Sanitary napkins vaangganuma??

Pugazh: Utharavu maharani. (Akila laughs and they end the call. Pugazh goes towards Jeeva who is arranging things with Kathir.) Sir, ingge ladies items engge irukku??

Jeeva: Anthe side'le irukku. (Pointing towards somewhere. Pugazh thank him and goes to the direction showed by Jeeva. He takes few packs and goes back towards VMul. He places them inside the trolley. Mullai smiles looking at the packs.)

Mullai: Thanks, aththan!!

Pugazh: Enna thanks!!?? Veetuleye sollirukkalamle. Eppothum naangge thaane vaangittu varuvom.

Mullai: Illeithaan. Ithu puthu ooru'le. Eppadi unggekitte solli vaangittu vare solrathunu teriyale. Yaaravathu unggale kindala parthaghana.

Vetri: Paakuravan moonje pethure maatom!!?? (Mullai is shocked.) Kindala paarpanggala!!

Mullai: Yen aththan kovappaduriye??

Pugazh: Un mele yaaru, da kovapatta?? Ivan kindel panravanggale sonnan. Ithe paaru. Naame engge ponaalum inthe vishayathule engge kitte enthe thayakkamum padathe, sariya??

Mullai: Sari'ngge aththan.

Vetri: Naan poi Malar'kum eduthuttu vanthudren.

Pugazh: Dei, naan moonu perukkume eduthutten'da. (Vetri thank him.) Sari, ellam eduthachi'le??

Vetri: Haan!! Oru vaarathukku vendiyathu eduthuttom.

Pugazh: Sari. Akila ice-cream vaangittu vare sonna.

Vetri: Sari, vaa poi edukkalam. (They go to the cold storage. JeeKa are amused hearing their conversation.)

Kathir: Evvalavo akkaraiya irukkaghale, avungge veetu ponnungge mele.

Jeeva: Meena inthe mathiri vishayam solle aarambuthule rombe thayangguva?? Athukkappuromthaan velipadiya pese arambicha. Enakku mothe konjom koochama irunthuchi. Appurom en pondatti kaaga thaane, ithule enna koocham parthukittu. Naanthaan avalukku vaangi kuduppen. Aana ivughe rendu perum wife ode thanggachi meleyum inthe vishayathule akkaraiya irukkaghe.

Kathir: Oru velei nambalukku thanggachiyo akkavo irunthiruntha, naamalum inthe mathiri irunthiruppomo??

Jeeva: Irukkalam. Sari, vaa povom. (They go towards Moorthy and discuss something.)

Vetri: (towards Mullai) Unakku enthe flavour vendum??

Mullai: Etha irunthaalum ok thaan aththan??

Pugazh: Ava appadithaan solluva?? Nee 3 butterscotch, 2 strawberry, 2 chocolate, 5 vanilla edu.

Mullai: Aththan, athu thenmittai thaane?? (Pointing towards a jar at the cash counter.)

Vetri: Aama da. Venduma?? (Mullai nods.) Poi evvalavo vendumo eduthukko. (Mullai goes to the cash counter.)

Mullai: Sir, naan inthe thenmittai eduthukuren.

Moorthy: Eduthukka'pa. Dei, Kathiru. Athe thiranthu kudu. (KM look at each other.)

Mullai: Paravale, sir. Naane thiranthukiren. (Mullai takes the jar and opens it. Kannan comes that time.)

Kannan: Appurom, business'laam eppudi poikittu irukku??

Kathir: Ellam nallathan poi kittu irunthuchi. Ippo nee vanthute'le. Inimel avvalavo thaan. (Kannan glares at him.)

Kumaresan: Sariya sonne'da, Kathiru. (Laughs) Hhgaaahhhaaaggh!!! (Mullai gets shocked and almost drops the jar on the floor but Kathir holds it on time. His hands are on her hands. They stare at each other eyes deeply and their hearts are beating loudly.)

VP: MULLAI!!! (All of them are shocked hearing the name especially Kathir whose eyes almost popped out. JeeMooKanKumSar look at each other and KM.)

Kathir: (towards Mullai) Mul... lai?? Mullai!!?? (Mullai nods. Kathir let go of her hands. She is startled with his sudden action but manage to hold the jar. However, Kumaresan laughs again making her to drop the jar in shock. Kathir pulls her aside so that she won't get hurt. VP rush towards her.)

Vetri: Mullai, unakku ethuvum agale'le?? (They are again shocked.)

Mullai: (feeling guilty) Odechitten!! (Pointing towards the jar which has broken into pieces.)

Moorthy: (comes out from the shock) Athe vidu, pa!! Unakku ethuvum agale'le!!?? Athu pothum.

Mullai: Sorry, sir. (Pugazh hugs her shoulder and consoles her.)

Moorthy: Ade!! Vidu, pa!! Unakku adippattiruntha enggalukku kashtama poyirukkom.

Kannan: Ellam inthe mama'vaale!!

Kumaresan: Naan enna'da senjen??

Kannan: Appadi sirikkathiye'nu ethanai thadavai solrathu!!?? Annaikku ivughe rendu pereyum bayamuthuniye. Innaikki ivughale. (Towards Mullai.) Ivaru sirippu mattumthaan 'terror' ah irukkum. Aana aalu rombave comedy type. Neengge etho nenechikkathiye. Adikadi ingge vanthighe'na unggalukke palagirom. (Mullai chuckles. VP feel relieved as well as Kathir.)

Vetri: Sir, odenjathukkum naangge pay pannidrom.

Moorthy: Athellam onnum vendam, thambi. Kai thavari vilunthuruchi. Paravale.

Kannan: Athane. Athuvum mama sirichathu naalethaane ivughe keele potaghe. Mama'thaan kaasu kudukkanum.

Kumaresan: Sirikkirathu oru kuthama'da??

Kathir: Sirikkirathu kutham illei, mama. (Looks at Mullai.) Aale bayamuthure mathiri sirikkrathuthaan kutham. (Mullai smiles at him. VP pay for the items.)

Pugazh: Naangge varom.

Kannan: Oru nimisham. (VPMul turn to him.) Ungge per enna?? (He asked towards Mullai.)

Mullai: Mullai. Yen??

Kannan: Ungge per different ah irukku. Athan keten. (Mullai smiles and leave from there with VP. Mullai turns back and sees Kathir looking at her. She turns in front. Kathir continuosly looking at her till she gets inside the car. The car leaves. He turns to go inside when he sees his brothers, Kumaresan and Saravanan are looking at him teasingly. Before he could say something, Kannan laughs rolling on the floor.)

Kannan: Haiyo!! Haiyo!! (Laughs holding his stomach. Others too started to laugh seeing him except Kathir who doesn't understand the reason.)

Kathir: Ethukku ellam ippadi sirikkiringge?? (Towards Kannan) Dei, enthiri da!! Yaaravathu partha enna ninaippangge??

Kannan: Anne, avughe peru Mullai'ya!! (Laughs crazily. A customer came that time and get shocked seeing Kannan laughing like that.)

Cust: Paavam. Yaar pethe pillaiyo?? Ippadi paithiyam mathiri sirikkuthu. (The customer leaves from there.)

Kathir: Dei, manathe vaanggathe!! Customer'lam odi porangge!! (Kannan gets up feeling embarrassed.)
