I am overwhelmed with today's episode of PS. So another chapter's update for all of you!! I thought to update tomorrow but today's episode made me to update today itself.

CHAPTER 22

Night at PS House

All are having dinner. Kathir is stealing glances at Mullai which noticed by ArKan.

Moorthy: Kathiru. Jeeva mothe phone panninan. Unneye…. (He looks at Kathir who is looking at Mullai. He turns to Dhanam and gestures her to see Kathir. Dhanam too looks at Kathir. DM smile at each other.)

Kannan: Anne, paarvaiyale saapittathu pothum.

Kathir: Enna??

Kannan: Illei. Evvalavo neramthan saapade appadiye parthukittu iruppe?? (Kathir starts to eat.)

Dhanam: Mama, neengge Kathir kitte etho solle vanthingge.

Kathir: Sollungge, ne.

Moorthy: Jeeva mothe phone panninan. Unnakku operation pannine doctor Chennai’le thaan irukkara. Avaru unneye paakanum’nu sonnara.

Kathir: Avaru ethukku enneye paakanum?? Naan ippo nallathane irukken.

Moorthy: Illei, da. Summa nee eppadi irukke, vali ethavathu irukka anthe mathiri visarikkarathukku paakanum’nu sonnara.

Kathir: Aana yen thidirnu?? Ithanai naala illame.

Kannan: (whispers at Arjun) Inthe annane vechikkittu. Ethanai kelvi??

Arjun: (whispers back) Avasara padathe. Ithukku appurom en thanggachi kepa paaru.

Mullai: Athane?? Ivughe check up ellam mudinjiruchi thane?? Appurom yen thidirnu paakanuma?? Yen’ge, ungga health ippo paravale thane??

Arjun: Sonnen’le??

Kathir: Naan ippo rombe nalla irukken. Enakku enthe prechanai’yum illei.

Mullai: Athane. Mootai ellam thookirighale. Appo nalla thane irukkaghe. Ethukku doctor paakanum.

Arjun: Mullai, anthe doctor ivarukku prechanai’nu sollale. Just paakanum thaan sonnaru. Avaru operation pannina patient, ippo mulusa gunam aanathu partha avarukku santhoshama thane irukkum?? Nee oru doctor’ah iruntha ippadi panne maatiya enna?? (Mullai thinks.)

Mullai: Aama, na. Neengge solrathum sarithan.

Kathir: Ippo naan enna pannanum, ne??

Moorthy: Neeyum ivughalode Chennai’ku po.

Kathir: Appo kadai??

Moorthy: Athe naangge parthukurom, da.

Kathir: Neengge mattum eppadi thaniya parthupighe??

Moorthy: Thaniyava?? Athan Saravanan irukkan, Kumaresan mama irukkaru, un anni irukka. Innum vendum’na, namma godown lernthu aalughale vare sollitta pochi. Aalukkada panjam??

Kannan: Kathir annanukku kadai’ye vittu piriye manase varathu.

Mullai: Appadiya??

Kannan: Aama. Appadi oru love namme kadai mele. Engga veetu love ungge veetu love illei. Unggakka makka love’u.

Mullai: (looks at Kathir) Appadinggala?? (Kathir just smiles.) Annaikku en perule kadai’ye eluthi vekkiren’nu sonnighe!! (DM look at him in surprise.)

Kathir: (mind voice) Potukuduthuttale!! Ippo enna solli samalikkirathu.

Dhanam: Parthinggala, mama. Enna sollirukkan’nu?? (Moorthy laughs.)

Kathir: Illei, anni. Athu summa sonnen.

Mullai: Ennathu?? Summa sonnighala?? Appo enneye yemathunighala?? Naan evvalavo aasaiya irunthen teriyuma?? Pandian Stores enakku kidaikke poguthu’nu santhoshama irunthen. (She makes a sad face. Kathir becomes worried and looks at DM. Arjun laughs after a while.)

Arjun: Mullai, paavam rombe otathe. (Mullai too laughs with him.) Iva summa kindel pannura. Ippadi reaction kudukkuringge.

Mullai: Bayappadathighe. Ungge kadai’ye naan eduthukke maaten. Ungge kitteye irukkattum.

Moorthy: Athukku illei, pa. Engga kadai’ye unakku vendum’nu sonne’le, athan aacharyama pochi. Neengge nenecha ithe athe vida periya supermarket aarambikkalame.

Mullai: Yen?? Ungge kadai’ku enna kuraichal. Enakku rombe pudichirukku.

Dhanam: Appo un per’ku maathi vechiralam.

Mullai: Akka, vidungge athe!! Aduthavaghe uzhaippe naan ennikkum parikke maaten.

Arjun: Etho pesikittu irunthu, ippo ennenemo pesikittu irukkom. Appo Kathir, neenggalum engga kude Chennai’ku varingge. (Kathir nods.)

After few days

Mullai gets ready to go to Chennai. She is sitting at the living room with DM waiting for ArKaKan.

Moorthy: Innum enna panraghe?? Kilambaruthukka ivvalavo neram??

Dhanam: Athane?? Mullai’ye ready aayitta. Pasanggalukku yen ivvalavo neram?? (ArKan come there all tired making them confused.) Enna aachu?? Yen ippadi verthirukku??

Kannan: Ellam Kathir annan naale. (Looks at somewhere.) Angge ethukku olinjikkittu irukke?? Vaa ingge. (Arjun goes and brings Kathir who is hiding behind a wall. DM and Mullai are surprised to see him in a pant shirt.)

Moorthy: Kathir’ah ithu?? Ithellam eppoda vaanggine??

Kannan: Vaanggittalum. Nethu naanum Arjun mama’vum javuli kadai’kku poyittu vaanggittu vanthom.

Dhanam: Style’ah irukke da Kathiru. (Kathir smiles but he feels uncomfortable with the dress.)

Kannan: Ithe podurathukku, anne pannine alapparai irukke.

Mullai: Avughalukku ishtam illei’na ethukku kattaya paduthunighe. Avughalukku ethu pidichirukko athe potutu varattume. Pant sattai potututhan varanuma?? Veshti sattai’ode vantha Chennai mudiyathu’nu solliruma?? (Looks at Kathir.) Unggalukku ethu comfortable’ah irukko, athe potutu vaangge.

Kannan: Anni, ippadi ellam panninathan Kathir anne inthe pant’lam podum. Illei’na veshti odethan irukkum. Inthe pant shirt Kathir annanukku nalla irukka illeya??

Mullai: Super ah irukku, da. Aana ivughalukku pidikkaleye. Rombe varpurthe kudathu, da. (Towards Kathir.) Neengge poyi maathittu vaangge.

Kathir: Nijamave nalla irukka??

Mullai: Super ah irukku!!

Kathir: Appadina naan ithe potukiren.

Mullai: Aana unggalukku uncomfortable’ah irukke. Rombe thooram vere poganum.

Kathir: Paravale. Poge poge palagidum. (ArKan smile at each other.)

Moorthy: Sari. Neram aaguthu. Ippo purappattathan nerathukku poi Chennai sere mudiyum. (A guy comes there. Arjun goes towards him and gives him a cheque.)

Arjun: Car’ode full payment. Ungge boss kitte naan call panni sollikiren.

Guy: Sari’ngge, sir. Annaikke car ready ah irunthuche. Yethukku 3 naal kalichi anuppe sonningge?? (Arjun turns and sees others are busy bringing the luggages. He sighs in relief.)

Arjun: Summathan, thambi. Ithe vere yaar kitteyum sollirathe, pa. Kenji kettukiren. Un boss kitte solli unakku sambalam vendum’na yethi thare solren.

Guy: Sollamaaten, sir. Bayappadathingge. (The guy leaves from there. Arjun goes and helps them to carry the luggage.)

Dhanam: Mullai, ithu Durgai amman kovil’le kuduthe kungumam. Rombe shakthi vainthe kovil. Ithe ungge veetu poojai araiyile vechi kumbittu vecha, rombe nallatha. (She hands over the chimizh to her.)

Mullai: Sari, ka. (She takes it from her.)

Arjun: Mullai, naan mothe drive pannuren. Appurom nee take over pannu.

Mullai: Sari, na.

Kannan: Mama, naan munnadi ukkarnthukiren.

Arjun: Unakku illathe urimai’ya?? Ukkaru!! (Kathir slaps Kannan’s head.)

Kathir: Adangge maate, nee?? (Kannan sits in front while KM sit at behind. They bid bye to DM and leave from there.)

On the way to Chennai...

Kannan is enjoying the journey.

Kannan: Mama, inthe mathiri porathu super’ah irukku!! Puthu car vere!! Mullai anni, neengge nalla car otuvighala??

Mullai: Oru alavukku otuven, Kanna.

Arjun: Summa solra. Ava ennggale vida super’ah otuva. (Kathir looks at her in surprise.)

Kathir: Poi thane sonne??

Mullai: Illei’ngge. Naan chinnatha enna panninalum engga veetule perusa pesuvaghe. Athe mathirithan ithuvum.

Arjun: Avale pathi perumaiya pesuna avalukku pidikkathu. Iva super’ah driving pannine naalaethan, naanum VP’yum ivalukku lamborghini vaangi kuduthom.

Kathir: Appadina??

Mullai: Athuvum oru vithamana car’u. Aana naan athe otunathu illei.

Kathir: Yen??

Arjun: Nalla kelungge, Kathir. Aasaiya vaanggi kudutha, otave maatinggura. Aana service mattum correct’ah kuduthuruva. (Mullai smiles. Arjun concentrate on the road. Kannan is talking without giving any brake to his mouth. Finally, he becomes tired and falls asleep. Arjun sees his head is falling down. He holds his head gently and places it correctly.)

Mullai: Anna, irungge. (She pulls the lever at Kannan’s seat and pulls the seat behind, so that he can lie comfortably. She moves to the center beside Kathir.) Paavam. Avan thoonggattum. Unggalukku idam paravaleya??

Kathir: Enakku paravale. Nee nalla ukkaru. (Mullai smiles and sits properly.)

Arjun stops the car at a dhaba. Kannan is still sleeping.

Arjun: Vaangge ethavathu saapidalam. Kanna….

Kathir: Avan ippadilam elunthirukke maatan. Ippo paarungge. Kanna, soru Kanna. Soru soru. (Kannan opens his eyes.)

Kannan: Soru soru. Engge soru?? Soru engge?? (ArMul chuckle seeing him.)

Mullai: Poi saapidalam, Kanna. Vaa. (They go and sit at the dhaba. One boy comes to take their order.)

Arjun: Enna saapidringge??

Kannan: Enakku chicken briyani.

Mullai: Enakku chapati.

Kathir: Athu engge pathum?? Konjom nallathan saapiden. Rathirithan chappati saapiduve’nu partha. Pagal’leyuma??

Arjun: Mullai, vere ethavathu sollen. Thooram ponom, ma.

Mullai: (nods) Oru fried rice.

Arjun: Enakkum athe kondu vaa, thambi.

Kathir: Athe moona kondu vaa.

Boy: Sari, ne. Kudikke??

Kannan: Mathulam juice.

Arjun: Enakkum.

Kathir: Tea.

Mullai: Masala tea. (The boy writes their order and leaves from there. Their food come after a while. Arjun feeds Mullai and they have their food silently.)

Arjun: Mullai, nee drive pannuriya??

Mullai: Sari, na. Key kudu. (Arjun gives the key to Mullai. Mullai gets inside the car and starts the car. Arjun adjusts her duppatta and closes the door.)

Arjun: Kathir, neengge munnadi ukkarungge. Enakku rombe thookama irukku. Naan pinnadi ukkarnthukiren. (Kathir nods. Arjun goes and adjusts the seat for Kathir.) Ukkarungge. (Kathir sits at front and feels awkward.)

Mullai: (smiles) Relax ah ukkarughe. (Kathir smiles.) Belt podughe.

Kathir: (confused) Belt ah?? Athu naan potirukkene. (Placing his hand on his waist.)

Mullai: Athu illei. Naan seat belt’eh sonnen. Mele ungge seat pakkathile. (Kathir looks at the belt.) Athe ilungge. (He tries to pull the belt but he couldn’t pull it.) Irungge, naan help pannuren. (She unfix her seat belt and goes near him to pull the belt. Kathir’s heart beats loudly when she comes closer to him. Mullai tries to pull the seat belt and her forehead collides with his. She rubs her forehead and looks at him.) Sorry'ngge. (He doesn't say anything and moves his face closer to her making her confused. He hits her forehead with his.)

Kathir: Oru thadavai muttittu vitta kombu mulaichiduma. Ippo mulaikkathule. (Mullai smiles listening to him.)

Kannan: Mama, marupadiyum vere grahathukku poitaghe. Naame Chennai’kku pone mathirithan. Vaangge thoonggalam. (ArKan lean on their seats and about to close their eyes when a car honks.) Yaaruda anthe disturbance?? (Mullai pulls the seatbelt and wears it for Kathir.)

Mullai: Ippadithan podanum.

Kathir: (nods) Thanks. (Mullai wears her seatbelt and drives leaving the place. ArKan chat among themselves for some time. Kannan falls asleep on Arjun’s lap. Arjun pats him and plays with his mobile. He too falls asleep after a while. Kathir is admiring Mullai’s driving skill.)

Mullai: Enna appadi paakurighe??

Kathir: Car rombe nalla oture.

Mullai: Appadiya?? Thanks. Palagina neenggalum nalla otuvighe. (Kathir smiles.)

Kathir: Aama, ithu ennathu?? (Pointing towards the gear.)

Mullai: Ithu gear. Bike’le irukkire mathirithan.

Kathir: Oh!!

Mullai: Naan vendum’na car ote solli tharava??

Kathir: Eppo??

Mullai: Ippothan.

Kathir: Aiyo!! Vendam. Chennai’kku bathirama poganum’le.

Mullai: Bayappadathighe. Naan solrathu mattum pannughe. Ungge idathu kaiye inthe gear mele vechikkughe. Innoru kaiyale inthe steering'eh pudighe. Naan pudichirukke mathiri. (Kathir does like she said.) Ippo anthe gear’eh munnadi thallughe. (Kathir hesitates. Mullai places her hand on his and pushes the gear.) Avvalavothan. Ithukku ippadi bayappadurighe. (Kathir smiles.) Inthe steering naan eppadi turn panreno, appadiye follow pannina pothum. Mathathu naan Chennai’kku poyi solli kudukkuren.

Kathir: Ennathu?? Chennai’kku poyi solli thare poriya??

Mullai: Aama. Unggalukku driving solli kuduthu, driving license edukke vechittuthan Kunnakudi’ku anuppuven.

Kathir: Paarda!! Bathilukku unakku enna vendum??

Mullai: Neengge enakku bike ote solli tharanum.

Kathir: Un veetule sari’nu sonna, naan solli tharen.

Mullai: Appo neengge solli thanthe mathirithan. (Kathir chuckles and they continue to drive like that for sometime unaware of two pairs of eyes which are secretly recording their driving romance and snapping their pictures from their behind seats. After two hours, Arjun takes over the driving. KM move to the back seats. Kannan pushes his seat back making Mullai to move beside Kathir.)

Kathir: Dei, thoongganumna pinnadi vanthu thoonggu. Naan munnadi ukkaruren. Vandi otum pothu pakkathule ukkaravangge pesikittu varanum. Appothan avughalukku thookam varathu.

Arjun: Paravale, Kathir. Chinna paiyan. Enakku drive pannina thookame varathu.

Kannan: Thanks, mama.

Kathir: Neengge ivanukku rombe idam kudukkurighe. Eppadithan ungge office’le velai seiye porano.

Arjun: Athellam seivan. Enakku nambikkai irukku.

Kannan: Anni, unggalukku kashtama irukka ukkarathukku?? Naan vendum’na seat mele yethikkava??

Mullai: Illei, Kanna. Paravale. Enakku kashtam illei. (The rest of the journey went silent. Kannan falls asleep again. Mullai too feels sleepy but she is controlling herself. However, she couldn’t control more and falls asleep on Kathir’s shoulder. Kathir just smiles and places her head properly on his shoulder. Arjun smiles shaking his head and concentrates on his driving.)

CHENNAI

Kannan opens his eyes after the car is stopped.

Kannan: (yawns) Marupadiyum saapide poroma?? (Arjun chuckles.)

Arjun: Machan, veetukku vanthachi.

Kannan: Athu kullare vanthuttoma?? Ippothane thoongginen.

Arjun: Ennathu?? Athu kullare’ya?? Veliye paaru. Night aachu. Iranggulam vaangge. (They turn towards the backseat and sees Mullai is sleeping on Kathir’s shoulder while Kathir's head on Mullai's.)

Kannan: Parthiyala, mama. Veedu vanthathu kude teriyama eppadi thoonggitu irukkaghe’nu. Azhaga irukku inthe katchi paakurathukku. (He takes his mobile and snaps their picture.) Naame serthu vekkirumo illeyo, ivughale sernthiruvaghe pole.

Arjun: Appadi nadanthalum nallathan irukkum. (They see Kathir is getting awake. Both of them keep quiet and turn in front. He smiles seeing Mullai and looks at surrounding.)

Kathir: Vandi yen ingge nikkuthu??

Kannan: Athu naale ukkare mudiyale, athan nikkuthu. (Arjun laughs.)

Kathir: Chennai vanthurucha??

Kannan: Athu engga vanthuchi?? Naamethane vanthom. (Kathir glares at him while. Arjun laughs again. Mullai opens her eyes listening to Arjun’s laugh. She sees herself lying on Kathir’s shoulder and lifts herself from there.)

Mullai: Sorry’ngge. Eppadi ungge mele thoonginen’nu teriyale.

Kathir: Paravale. (Mullai smiles and looks at the surrounding.)

Mullai: Oh!! Veetukku vanthuttoma??

Kannan: Ithu veeda??

Arjun: Athule enna unakku doubt??

Kannan: Five star seven star hotel’nu nenechen.

Arjun: Neneppe neneppe. Iranggu mothe. (VM, PA, JM and MuPar come to receive them. MA hug Mullai.)

Malar: Vanthuttinggala?? Ivvalavo neenggellam eppo varuvingge varuvingge’nu parthukittu irunthom.

Jeeva: Vada Kathiru. Nee engge vare maatiyo’nu nenechen. (Kathir smiles.) Appurom, prayanam’lam eppadi irunthuchi??

Kannan: Super’ah irunthuchi.

Kathir: Ivaneye kekkuringge?? Aarambathule, pesikitte irunthan. Appurom  thoonggikitte irunthan. Saapida mattumthan elunthan. (All laugh. Arjun hugs Kannan’s shoulder.)

Murugan: Neengge vanthathule enggalukku rombe santhosham.

Parvathy: Sari. Ethukku veliye ninnuttu irukkingge?? Ulle vaangge mothe. Rombe kalaippa iruppingge. Mothe saapidungge.

Arjun: Amma, naangge mothe fresh aayittu vanthudrom.

Vetri: Kathir, Kannan, ungga rendu perukkum mele Arjun room’ku pakkathule arrange pannirukkom. Poyi fresh aayittu vaangge. Arjun, kootitu po. (Arjun nods and about to take the luggage.)

Pugazh: Dei, ithe naangge eduthuttu varom. Nee avunggale kootitu po. (Arjun takes KaKan towards upstairs. Mullai hugs Akila’s arm.)

Akila: Enna pattu kutty?? Rombe tired’ah irukka. Naan vendum’na unneye thookittu pogava??

Mullai: Yen, ka?? Sari, naanum fresh aayittu varen. (She too leaves to her room. All have their dinner together and chat for sometime. They retired to their respective room after that.)
