Hi, everyone!! I am really sorry for not updating the story for a long time. This chapter is almost ready but a lot of things happened which stopped me from continuing it. First, I lost my job. I was busy in applying for new jobs which I felt so important than updating my stories. Besides that, I lost two of my uncles one after another just in a month gap. Then, I lost my grandfather. Before I and my family could move on from the loss, my beloved grandmother passed away last Friday. This 2020 is really a horrible year for my family.

I don’t know if the chapter came out good or not as I didn’t do much checking. If you find any loopholes, do tell me. I will correct it. And sorry again for the delay.

*FLASHBACK CONTINUES*

The entire family was busy with the wedding preparation. A day before nalunggu function, VP came to Mullai's house.

Mullai: Azhagar kitte invitation kudukke jail'ku poitu vanthudrom.

Murugan: Neengge angge poi thaan aganuma??

Pugazh: Aama, athai. Mullai ode sabatham nyabagam irukku'le??

Parvathy: Athu illei, mappillai. Avanukku Mullai'ye pudikkathu. Eppo parthalum ethavathu solluvan.

Mullai: Minji pona anathai'nu solluvan. Athu enakku puthusa enna?? Avan solrathu ellam naan perusa eduthukke maaten. Neengge kavalai padame irungge. (Karthik who was discussing with his workers stops listening to Mullai.)

Akila: Athan naangge irukkomle. Avan ethavathu sonna naan avane summa vitturuvena?? Sari, naangge varom.

Malar: Naanum kude varava?? Rendu kalyanam nadakke poguthu'nu veruppu yethulam.

Vetri: Athuvum sarithaan. Naanggalum kude varom.

Arjun: Jail'ku porathukku etho vacation pore mathiri poringge. (AdiYa come that time.)

Aditya: Thank God you didn't leave yet.

Mullai: Why, Adi anna??

Zoya: While we were coming back, I saw a stall selling these flowers.

Mullai: Ade, 'mullai' poo!! But, Zo anni….

Zoya: Exactly!! I thought to buy these for all of you. (She places the flowers on MAMul and Parvathy's hair. She sneezes and covers her nose.) Excuse me!!

Zoya: It's ok. I am allergic with all the flowers.

Aditya: Exactly!! She reacted the same when I gave her rose for valentine's Day. (They laughed while Zoya stares at him. Mullai, VM and PA leave from there. MuPar leave to their room. Karthik goes towards Arjun who is chatting with AdiYa.)

Karthik: Naan ungge kitte konjom pesanum.

Arjun: Sollungge, Karthik.

Karthik: Mullai….

Arjun: Mullai'ku enna??

Karthik: Sorry. Mullai ethukku avanggale anathai'nu sonnangge?? Neenggellam thaan irukkinggale. (Arjun and AdiYa look at each other.)

Aditya: Karthik, if you think that this family will give importance to  a person's status, then you are wrong. They are not like that.

Karthik: No, I don't think like that. The status which I meant is….

Arjun: Vendam, Karthik. Neengge ethuvum sollathingge. Neengge pese vendiyathu Mullai kitte. (Karthik looks at him which he nods.)

At the Prison

Mullai asks PA and VM to wait outside while she goes inside first. Azhagar came after a while and confused to see her.

Mullai: Jail vazhkai eppadi irukku, Azhagar??

Azhagar: Ethukku ingge vanthe??

(PA enter inside followed by VM.) Naan un kitte sonnen'le en akka'vukku unnei vide 1000 madanggu nalla mappillai kidaippaghe'nu. Ivughethaan athu. Pugazh aththan. Unakku teriyum ninaikkiren. Ivughe vere yaarum illei, Vetri aththan ode thambi.

Azhagar: (smirks) Vere yaarum kidaikkale'nu Malar purushan'ode thambikke katti vekke poringgala??

Pugazh: Akila vide nalle ponnu enakku kidaikke maata'nu thaan avale kalyanam pannikke poren.

Azhagar: Appadiya?? Rombe santhosham!! (Mullai gives the wedding invitation to him.)

Mullai: Intha kalyanam pathirikkai!! Innum 3 naalile en akka rendu perukkum kalyanam. Unnale kalyanathukku vare mudiyathu. Vendumna unakku live'ah telecast pannurom. Jail warden mobile'le parthukko. Adi anna kitte solli yerpadu panne solluren. (He stares at her.) Vanthe velai mudinjiruchi. (Looks at PA and VM.) Vaangge kilambalam. (They turn to go.)

Azhagar: Dei, thidir mappilai!! Unkitte konjom pesanume. (Pugazh looks at them.)

Pugazh: Neengge veliye wait pannungge. Naan ippo vanthudren.

Mullai: Aththan, avan….

Pugazh: Nee bayappadathe Mullai. Avan enna solluran'nu paakuren.

Vetri: Athellam avan parthuppan, ma. Namme veliye wait pannalam. (He takes the girls outside.)

Pugazh: Ennada pesanum??

Azhagar: Ellam terinji Akila've kattikke poriya?? Anthe video nyabagam irukku'le?? Oore paarthe oru ponne, nee kalyanam pannikke poriya?? Oore unneye kaari thuppum. Ava pothu soththu!! (Pugazh clenches his fist angrily hearing the words. If Azhagar is at outside now, this will be the last day for him staying in this world. But he is lucky enough that he is inside the jail. Pugazh controls himself.)

Outside the Prison

Pugazh goes towards VM and AkiMul who are waiting for him.

Mullai: Avan enna sonnan, aththan??

Pugazh: Avan oru loosu, ma. Etho ularunan, naan rendu thuppu thuppittu vanthutten. (The girls look at him weirdly.)

Vetri: Thittittu vanthuttanu appadi solluran.

Girls: Oh!!!

Pugazh: Sari, vaangge pogalam. Veetukku poitu mothe thalaiye muzhganum. (They turn to leave when they see Karthik there.) Karthik, neengge engge ingge??

Karthik: Mullai’ye paakalamnu vanthen. (Mullai look at him in surprise.) Mullai, un kude konjom pesanum.

Malar: Inggeye va?? Vere enggeyavathu pogalame??

Vetri: Restaurant ok va??

MulKar: Park!! (MulKar look at each other. VM and PA just smile seeing them. They leave from there.)

At the Park

VM and PA are having pani pooris leaving MulKar in private.

Mullai: Enna pesanum??

Karthik: Sorry, Mullai.

Mullai: Yethukku sorry??

Karthik: Unnei ignore panninathukku.

Mullai: Athu ungge ishtam. Athukku neengge yen sorry sollrighe??

Karthik: Appadiya?? Appo naan ignore panninathu unakku varuthama illeya??

Mullai: Naan ethukku varutha padanum?? Naan yaaru unggalukku??

Karthik: (shakes his head) Konjom varusham munnadi avungge thavarittangge. (Mullai feels bad.)

Mullai: Sorry’ngge. (Karthik smiles sadly.) Ithukkagathan enneye accept panne mudiyathu’nu sonniyala?? (Karthik nods.)

Karthik: En background unakku avamanathai kudukke kudathu, Mullai.

Mullai: Background rombe mukkiyama??

Karthik: Illeya??

Mullai: Neengge sonnathukku appuromthan en background enakku nyabagam varuthu. (Karthik looks at her confusingly.) Mothe veetule naan anathai’nu oru varthai sonnen,, unggalukku ketucha?? Ithan yen background!! (She said and walks away towards VM and PA. VM and PA are shocked to see her coming in tears.)

Akila: Kutty ma, enna aachu?? Yethukku ippadi aluvure?? Karthik ethavathu sonnara??

Malar: Haiyoyo!! En papa ippadi aluvuraale. (She wipes Mullai’s tears with her duppata. Karthik comes there.) Papa kitte pesuren thane sonningge. Ippadi aluve vechittinggale. Pudikkale'na parthu methuva sollirukkalam'le. Ippadiya ale veppingge??

Mullai: Akka, paravale vaangge pogalam. (Mullai turns to go.)

Karthik: Hello!! (Mullai looks at him ) I love you!! (All of them look at him shockingly.) Appurom paakalam. (He turns to go.)

Mullai: (snaps her finger) Hello!! (He looks at her.) I love you too!! (VM and PA look at them in disbelief.)

Vetri: Etho rendu rowdy'ngge propose pannikkire mathiri irukku. (They laugh after a while.)

Mullai’s House

Everyone is laughing learning about MulKar love proposal. MulKar look at each other feeling embarrassed.

Zoya: Appa, good things will happen to the good persons. You are the best!! So everything will be the best.

Aditya: Zoya is right!! Best parents, best son, best daughters and best sons-in-law. (Looks at Karthik.) Karthik, if you have came earlier, we might have fixed triple wedding including both of you.

Karthik: No, Aditya. Mullai is still studying. She has to complete her MBBS and become a doctor. Then only our marriage will happen. (He smiles at Mullai who smiles proudly at him.)

Mullai: Appa, athu....

Karthik: Avunggalukku erkanave theriyum. Naan sollitten. Avungge ellam LA'le irukkangge. Fastest flight eduthu varen'nu sonnangge. (Mullai looks at him confusingly.) Appo, naan varen.

Parvathy: Mullai, mappillaiye vazhi anuppi vechittu vaa. (Mullai agrees and goes with Karthik.)

Karthik: Madam confusion'le irukkingge pole.

Mullai: Amma thavarittaghe'nu sonniye. Ippo family'lernthu varaghe'nu solriye.

Karthik: Puriyuthu. Mathathu naan avunggellam vanthathukku appurom solren.

Mullai: Sari. Poitu vaangge.

Karthik: Enna?? Poitu vaangge'la?? Madam, naame innaikki love confess pannikittom. Ennemo assault'ah poitu vaangge'ndre.

Karthik: Ippadi keta naan ennenemo ketpen. (Mullai widened her eyes in shock.) Kekkava?? (He brings his face closer to her making her nervous.) Enneye vaangge pongge'nu solli kupdathe. (Mullai sighs in relief.) Ok va??

Karthik: Vaayalethan kupudanum.

Mullai: Paarda. Neengge ippadilam kude pesuvighala??

Karthik: Athigama nesikkiravangge kitte ippadithan pesuven. (Mullai smiles shyly.) Nee rombe azhaga irukke.

Mullai: Thanks.

Karthik: Nee vaa po, nu solli kupudu.

Mullai: Nee vaa po, time aaguthu. Naalaikki paakalam. Poitu vaa.

Karthik: Paarda!! Ok, bye. Ulle po. (He gets inside his car and leaves from there.)

Next day

Nalunggu function for the brides and grooms are prepared at Mullai's house as VP are not having much relatives. VP seats are placed opposite MA seats. Arjun, Aditya and Karthik make VP to sit at their places. Mullai and Zoya bring MA and make them to sit opposite their partners. VM and PA smile looking at each other.

Mullai: Ippadiye sirichikitte irungge. Zo Anni. (Zoya nods her head and brings a sheet. She gives one of the edge to Mullai. They tie the edges at both side of the thoranam blocking VM and PA’s view. VM and PA are shocked to see this while AdiYa, MulKar, Arjun and MuPar chuckle seeing them.) Kalyanam varaikkum ponnum mappilai’yum santhikke kudathu. (VM and PA sigh feeling disappointed.)

Karthik: Don’t worry, sagalais. Inthe oru naalaikki thaan.

Vetri: Sagalai, unggalukkum oru naal inthe nilamai varum.

Karthik: Varum pothu paarthukkalam, brother. (ArAdi chuckle seeing them.)

Aditya: Poor guys. (Karthik's mobile rings.)

Karthik: Hello!! Vanthuttinggala?? Konjom wait pannungge. Vanthudren. (He looks at Arjun.) Oru nimisham. (Arjun nods and he leaves from there.)

Parvathy: Neram aaguthu. Nalunggu aarambikkalama?? Aama Karthik mappilai engge??

Arjun: Call vanthuchinu ponaru.

Aditya: There he is coming. (They turn and see Karthik is coming with an elderly couple with a young guy.)

Karthik: Ennode family. Ithu en appa, Rajasekar, ithu en Divya, appurom athu en thambi, Vinay.

Murugan: Appadiya?? Vangge vaangge. (Karthik’s family smile and greet them.)

Parvathy: Enggalukkum unggale santhichathule rombe santhosham. Sariyana nerathule vanthirukkingge. Nalunggu vekke aarambikke porom.

RS: Nallatha pochi. Naame appurom pesalam. Mothe nalunggu aarambikkalam. Paavam pillaingge. Evvalavo neramthan ippadiye ukkarnthiruppangge.

Karthik: Right, dad. Erkanave avungge view'eh block pannittomnu tension'le irukkangge. (They laugh. The ritual started after a while. Parvathy applies the sandal paste on MA and after that she applies on VP. Karthik’s mom too applies on them. The ritual continues to go on. Zoya is the last one to apply. She sees most of the guests have left after having the snacks. She smirks and winks at Aditya. Aditya nods understanding her. Zoya dips her hands inside the bowl which contains the sandal paste. She takes her hand full of the paste and rubs on MA's faces making them shock. Aditya too does the same to VP before they could escape. MA and VP struggle to escape themselves but AdiYa are not leaving them. ArMulKarVi and the elders laugh seeing them.)

Malar: Anni, please stop.

Zoya: No, baby. You won’t be here after your wedding. This is the only moment we can play like this. Please don’t stop your darling bhabhi.

Akila: Anni, we will come here daily to play with you. Just stop this.

Aditya: Pity us, Akila. Let us enjoy!! You continue, Zoya.

Vetri: Adi, why are you saying that MA won’t be staying here anymore??

Aditya: How come they can stay here after marriage?? They have to stay with you.

Pugazh: If you want, four of us will stay here after our marriage. (All stop laughing and look at them in confused.)

Vetri: Thanks, ma. (He pats her cheek lovingly.)

Arjun: Thanks, Malar.

Malar: Enakku ethukku, na thanks??

Arjun: Vetri'ye love panninathukku. Naanggala thedi irunthaalum, Vetri mathiri oru mappilai kidaichirukkathu. Pugazh'um kedechirukke maataru. Ithukku neethan karanam. (He hugs Malar and kisses her forehead.)

Malar: (holds AkiMul's hands.) Naangge inthe veetu ponnu, na. Thappana enthe mudivum edukke maatom. (Arjun nods and hugs AkiMul as well.)

After the function

Divya: Ungge ponnunggale nalla valarthirukkingge. (MuPar smile proudly looking at their daughters.)

Divya: Naan ungge kitteyumthaan sonnen. Neengga ungge thanggachinggale nalla valarthirukkingge. (Arjun smiles proudly hugging MAMul's shoulders.)

RS: Karthik ungge ellathaiyum pathi niraiya sonnan. Mullai’ye pathi innum niraiya sonnan. (Mullai smiles shyly looking at Karthik.) Ungge veetule sambantham vechikkurathule enggalukku rombe santhosham. (They smile happily.)

Divya: (towards VM and PA) Evvalavo neramthan ippadiye iruppingge?? (They realised that they are still in their nalunggu's costume with sandal make-up.) Mullai, nee akka kude poi avunggalukku help pannu. (Mullai nods and leaves from there with MA.)

RS: Karthik, nee VP kude po. (Karthik leaves with VP. ArAdiYa realised that Karthik’s parents wants to speak something in private with MuPar. They decide to leave as well but Karthik’s mother stops them.)

Divya: Neengge engge poringge??

Arjun: Illei, neengge appa amma kude etho personal'ah pesanum’nu ninaikkiringge. Athan naangge ethukku.

Divya: Neengge irukkalam. Naangge ungge kudeyumthaan pesanum.

Zoya: Aunty ji, we are....

RS: You and Aditya are one of this family member. You can stay here, beti. (AdiYa look at MuPar who just nod their heads. AdiYa sit back at their places.) Both of you can understand Tamil, right??
