Well past Midnight, Your POV

I could understand how she was genuinely terrified. Even if she tried to steal her resolve and ended up being to wound up, it's pretty understandable as to how she feels. I mean, I was in her exact situation for a while...

I ended up snapping an eye patch over their eye, as they winced from the snap and I took a look at their face

She still looks worried

"It's alright, I don't blame you Kanta, even if you hate me..."

Both Rize and Touka ended up scowling with their eyes changing when I suggested she hated me.

I let the night ring out it's own time. I already dissected the one guy, and since the Kagune sack wasn't good quality, I just ate the body.

Touka had gotten around to explaining with the shop keep how coffee is the only thing that ghouls could enjoy besides human flesh, so I decided to order something.

"I'd like a hot chocolate..." it's not an exaggeration to say everyone stared at me, especially Kanta as I ordered something other than coffee, and even ordered some brownies.

"H-how can you eat those, you're a ghoul! Aren't you!?" Kanta surprisingly got worried over my own safety as she knew it was like poison for a ghoul to eat human food

"I'm fine...I'm a special case~"
I explained the process where my organs are pretty compatible with a ghoul's, and so I have both human and ghoul organs...

Guess she didn't really get it, but I just went out the door after wishing them a happy night, and went down to a pub to drown my sorrows...

At least 3 AM, Rize POV

Jeez...where could that jerk be?! He's supposed to be the key to his house, and I still can't find him!

He mentioned a pub, so I followed my nose to the only place I could find

An old Irish pub, filled to the brim with alcohol, humans, ghouls, and even things in between.

I sat by the window as things got exciting, and everyone began singing a particular song

The only part of the song I actually saw him sing to was the chorus...well, besides when he decided to have some fun...

"Now everybody's died! Until our tears are dried! We'll drink and drink and drink and drink and then we'll drink some more! We'll dance and sing and fight until the early morning light! And we'll throw up as we wake up and then go drinking once again!"

He smiled every time he sang that...but his face showed that those first few words kept getting to him, as he slammed another bourbon each time.

As he was nearly and thoroughly passed out, I came in and picked him up, taking him back to his home

"Come on" I said "you need your sleep."
I kept carrying him as I remembered how he told me that first, simply being reminded of the "Doctors Orders"

The only words I heard from him were "mama" as he snuggled into my shoulder and hugged my Kagune...

'Jeez, this kid...I feel like I adopted some kind of kid brother rather than me being the one mooching off of him'

And so, I took his keys, and decided to sleep with him to keep him company for the night
