꧁𓊈𒆜"Chapter Six"𒆜𓊉꧂
You're not welcome here.
The ombre of colours that swirled into the mountain was a sight I was familiar with. It allowed me to venture into Ninjago, cause havoc and see Lloyd. The lights that emitted were painful, but the travel they allowed were all worth it.
I looked over my shoulder, gazing at my father who looked back at me with the same uncertainty. Wu plated his staff against the stone and turned towards us.
There were so many things that I wanted to say, that I wanted to ask Uncle Wu. What kind of trouble had Lloyd caused? Could I see him? Why didn't he take me and raise me instead of having the King of Evil do a terrible job instead?
He was supposed to protect others but I didn't see him protecting my youth and it's innocence.
I peered at him, shocked to find he was already looking back at me. I frowned and looked away.
"The vortex back to Ninjago is just over that buff. Please, you first," My father insisted, waving his hand in the direction to go.
Uncle Wu smiled and looked to his brother.
"Though we live in two different worlds, I still see good in your heart, brother,"
I clenched my jaw to stop a comment. I wasn't sure if I wanted to disagree or laugh in his face. We lived in different worlds, sure, but the only good in my father's heart was the one that loved his children... and even that was when it suited him.
"The battle between our worlds is inevitable," My father sighed, then a sick smile rose to his lips, "You put too much trust in me,"
There it was.
The kindness being pushed to the surface was bound to change.
Lord Garmadon pushed Uncle Wu down the edge and into the vortex. As startled as he was, Wu grabbed onto the ledge, his eyes wide and pleading as he stared up at the 2 Garmadon's that had only caused havoc for his city.
"But I came for your help to save your son! Did you lead me here to destroy me?!" He wailed, voice full of betrayal.
I gave him a small smirk.
"See you on the other side Uncle," I waved at him, his mouth opened to speak again but my father flicked off his hand.
We watched him fall and dissapear into the swirling lights.
My father turned to me.
"After you, Prince of Darkness," He put on a voice.
When I was a child, he used to pretend that we were rulers of the underworld. We weren't far off, but there was no official statement claiming that title as ours. It used to make me feel powerful, like I was already in charge of something because of the evil I possessed.
However, as I stood opposite him on the edge of the vortex and he used the childhood game on me oncemore, I found myself unable to maintain my uninterested look. A small smile broke through and I stared at him stubbornly.
"Why thank you, King of Corruption," I bowed slightly, chuckling at our childishness.
I slung my Bow over the Quiver on my back and leaped into the swirling colours, shutting my eyes at the familiar impact. I couldn't wait to see Lloyd. I couldn't wait to have him by my side again.
...
I crashed down into a field, laying next to Wu who was already on his feet. The sun was blazing but I couldn't focus on that long, another bang ricochet through the sky and my father came tumbling down. I barely had enough time to roll out of the way of his body before it hit me.
"The Bounty should be this way," Wu frowned, his eyes hard as he gazed as his relatives, "Let's go,"
...
When the Bounty came into view, the nerves started to set in. The last time I had seen the Ninja, it was with Lloyd and I had to retreat. Embarrassing, but at least I knew when to walk away when I needed to.
"Asher, you're bow please," Uncle Wu held out his hand expectantly.
I frowned. He wanted my bow?
"No weapons," He added, hoping to clear up my confusion.
"You literally have weapons on board--" I hissed, how dare he expect me to just hand it over.
"Yes, but those are permitted to be there," He rose his eyebrows, seemingly not expecting a fight.
"Hand it over Ashton," Father told, his expression one of warning.
I ground my teeth together before pulling off my Bow and Quiver, handing to him.
And in utter surprise, he just threw them to the side as we continued walking forward.
Oh, I was so going to find a way to get back at him for that.
...
I suspected the Ninja didn't know about our arrival when Wu advised us to stay close... I wondered why he hadn't told them.
I thought about how I could use the element of surprise as a way to catch them at their weakest. I nudged my father softly, not wanting Wu to suspect anything. He frowned at me questioningly, resulting in me raising my eyebrows at the flying boat.
He pursed his lips but made no further action to entertain my thoughts.
"Hello? I'm home," Uncle Wu called out as we stepped afoot the boat.
Father and I stood behind him silently.
"Sensei!" A chorus of voices called out.
Footsteps rushed towards us whilst excited murders followed their teachers name.
"Ah," Uncle Wu sighed happily, "It's so good to be home,"
"So glad you're back!"
"Did you bring us anything?"
"Oh, Sensei, have you missed a lot! Zane's a Nindroid, Nya's the mysterious Samurai, Cole's a dancer-,"
I bit my tongue to hold a scoff. What's a Nindroid?
"Zane is a...what?" He asked exasperatedly and I was glad he was because I was thinking the same thing.
"You've been gone a while. We'll catch you up later, but you should know, all of us except for Kai have discovered our True Potential," Explained the one named Kai.
I clenched my jaw.
They were getting powerful? That wasn't good. I needed to be strong enough to take down all of them... and they were stronger? I had to convince my father to teach me Spinjitzu. There was always a first for everything.
"Have you now?" He asked, impressed, "Where is Kai?"
"Right here!" Kai huffed, his footsteps oncoming, "So glad you're back safe,"
My father rolled his eyes, annoyed with having to life in the shadow of someone oncemore. He nudged my side and then stuck his hands out. I smirked and copied him.
"Aah! Sensei, behind you!" Kai yelled, jumping quickly towards us.
"Sensei!"
"Ugh! He's got six arms!" Kai grimaced.
"Does he?" I asked, cocking my head patronisingly.
The Ninja gasped at the realisation that I was there too.
I smirked at the sight of their surprise. Their fear.
"So we meet again," My father glowered to Kai.
"They must've followed you, Sensei!" Kai accused, pulling up his mask and getting into a defensive position, ready to attack.
"Kai, stop! They are the reason I left. For so long as Pythor has Lloyd, they will be our guests," Uncle Wu stopped the Red Ninja's actions.
Pythor? I guessed he was the 'trouble' that Lloyd had gotten himself into. Whoever he was, I hated him already. How dare he keep my brother captive.
If I found out that he had caused harm to him at all there would be hell to pay. Nobody hurt Lloyd and got away with it, not with me as his brother.
"We have to live with these guys!?" Cole frowned, shocked at his Sensei's words.
I understood his complaint. I wasn't exactly fond of the fact that I had to live with the people who made it their mission to stop me everytime I caused distress on others.
"But Sensei, he has four arms!" Zane corrected Kai's earlier statement.
"Uh, must I remind you ever since he turned evil, he's been trying to get our Golden Weapons?" Jay chuckled nervously.
"And that's his son who follows in his footsteps!" The girl, who's name I had not yet learned, added.
I smirked at her, she shuddered.
"Enough!" Wu shouted, his words had an immediate reaction to all of them.
"Yes, Sensei,"
I was surprised but mostly impressed. That was the sort of power I wished to hold over the people of Ninjago. Maybe I could learn a few things from him.
"This isn't about the weapons," Father spoke slowly, "It's about my son,"
"And my Brother, he doesn't know what he's doing," Which was partly true, but I added onto my father's words mostly to cause more distaste.
"From here on out, you will obey me and you will respect my brother and older nephew," Wu demanded of them.
Again, they all agreed in the same way with no questions asked.
"Yes, Sensei,"
"Now to the bridge. We must put our attention to more pressing matters,"
...
"So, where are we at with the four Fangblades?" Wu wondered, looking to the multiple computer screens.
Fangblade...I hadn't heard of that before.
"Oh, Pythor's managed to take the first two, but there's still two left," Jay told as if that was a good thing.
The Ninja were growing stronger with their powers, but they clearly didn't know how to use them to their fullest if Pythor, who I assumed was against them, already had half the amount they needed.
"And we only need one in order to prevent him from unleashing the Great Devourer," Cole added, crossing his arms and leaning against the table.
"Any luck finding their whereabouts?" He frowned, looking between the four boys.
"No, but the Falcon is programmed to alert us if he sees any suspicious activity," Zane nodded proudly.
I shook my head and scoffed outloud. Kai caught my eyes and I ignored him. They thought what they were doing was impressive? Please!
"Good. If we find the Fangblade, we find Lloyd," That got my attention, "Kai and Nya, prepare the deck and double check the anchor. We need to be ready when we first get word of activity,"
"Of course, Sensei," They agreed, looking at each other before walking to the door.
On his way out, Kai glanced at my father and I with a cold look. My father grunted and rolled his eyes, making me smirk.
Could he make his hate anymore obvious?
Yall the Ninja are here agaiiiin.
Also do you like the ending picture I made? They aren't Asher and Kai's official face claims, just people that I imagine would look like them.
I think it's super cute, Ash in a smokey forest and Kai in one with baby flames around him.
I hope Lloyd is in the next chapter.
I miss Ash and Lloyd's brotherhood.
