Confession #33

*Too big for a photo*

"I honestly love reading self-inserts, even though I have no romantic attraction to any of the creeps. But I hate it when people treat sensitive subjects such as depression, abuse, bullying, rape, and suicidal tendencies badly. And quite often, I've begun reading a self-insert only to be greeted with these subjects being poorly written and romanticized. And most of the time, authors don't even bother to warn their readers about this content. I understand that creepypasta often contains this sort of stuff, but that does not condone this ignorant behaviour. And most of the time, when I find a good fic, it still has an underlying problem. One fic I was reading was beautifully written, had amazing pacing, and an original idea, but the romance felt extremely forced. Another one I read was amazing, but the relationship between EJ and the reader was both physically and emotionally abusive, something I hope the author is aware of and is working towards fixing it in future chapters, but I highly doubt. Aside from ValentinesDayGreen's works, I've only really found one amazing fic that I can truly recommend to people and even that has its fair share of problems. (But if you'd like to check it out, it's called Keep Quiet, it's on Quotev, and it's a Hoodie x Reader soulmate AU, which I thought was a pretty neat idea. There's also another person on Quotev who writes reader inserts, but they're one-shots. It's called My Soulmate Is A Killer (Various Creepypasta x Reader) and they are amazing and are a lot more realistic compared to most. Okay, I'll leave now. Sorry this is so long!"
