"I would love to apologize and thank you, but the time is short. We need to get out of here now," he says, standing up.

"I know you have every right not to trust me and maybe some questions to ask, but I need to know that you're with me, if something is going to go down now, until the moment we get into the safety."

He looks at you gun then at you, outstretching his hand.

"Can I count on you?"

Maybe there were some times when you weren't sure about him and about all of this, but you've come so far that backing away now would be the most irrational thing to do.
